  • Flagship luxury sedans get the best that a brand has to offer - and the BMW 7 Series drives that home. In the new 740e plug-in hybrid, its high-tech drivetrain is complemented by high-tech convenience features like gesture control, a key fob with an integrated screen and a 3-D camera view. But when we put these features to the test, we found out that the latest isn't necessarily the greatest.

I bet that key fob costs more than my daily driver.

Of course plebeian. Overpaying for features is what the 7 series is about.

A lot of gimmicky shit in this car. Do you really need all that technology? Gesture controls etc? No. Just more to go wrong and pay for.

BMW reminds me of Blackberry. They are too arrogant to realize that they have to innovate especially as companies like Tesla, Google and Apple are investing billions into electric cars and driver-less technology.
