Outstanding!! My 2011 E92 had front bumper replaced by BMW body shop during accident repair. I’ve got a similar gap that the shop can’t fix. You’ve created a great fix. Now I need to attempt to duplicate your work. Thanks for a great repair tutorial.
Fantastic video. I have the gap after collecting the front left lip underside on a curb while parking (sunk into a sewer grate) while getting food in Te Aroha. There would only be a small subset of e90/e92 owners that would notice but the gap drives me crazy. Must stop procrastinating... Once again, amazing video. Thank you.
same issue, had bonnet replaced thought he didnt secure bonnet properly but also went over a hump i shouldn't have ,or shouldnt have been there at all, and reversed back and took some underneath front bumper with me, now know its this rather than bonnet
i had the same issue with my 2011 328xi sedan it was an salvage auction car and i fixed it 100% straight and square but for the life of me i couldn't get the bumper to sit properly i will try your method next cheers from Canada!
Thank u so much, plastic "screws" were extremely hard to remove I managed to pop them out with a flathead and broke them in the process, but managed to adjust it and ridded my 550i of the unsightly gap
I have same problem with my hood it seems like it is not shut down properly even though it is and i want to get it tighter like you have done to the bumper, wha exactly did you do to the hood to get it nice and tight cheers
To the hood specifically... Loosened the hinge bolts and slid it all the way back then tightened the bump stops to get it to sit lower, but most of the adjustment was on the bumper as in the video.
I've seen many new cars with poor panel gap alignment! Mercedes Benz, BMW, Tesla, Citroën to name a few, shocking really when you think about the technology the car car manufacturers have these days :)
from what i've read in the forums is that the material used from factory will stretch and sag. some ppl have great success by notching the holes on the front bumper support at raising it a bit, and the bumper will sit higher/flush with the hood.
Hey man what exactly did you do to fix that gap between bumper and hood? I've tried remove all the bolts on the bumper and just pushing it in or up but no dice. I can't see how you can *raise* the bumper though because the bolts screw from the top and under. So I'm just curious if you could say what you did exactly since it's kinda jump cut in the video. Thanks man!
Hey man, it was everything I did in the video. I loosened all the screws and pushed it in the right direction, added washers on top, adjusted the hood stops, heated and bent the area around the headlights...maybe more that I forgot. It's not a simple fix, many contributing factors.
Not sure I would have as much patient as you had! Loved the video, the editing was fantastic 👌
Yeah it's a challenge for sure. Thanks mate.

As others. I can see my bumper was repainted and poorly installed. Thanks for putting this together and pointing out the real culprits.
OMG THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR CHEERS MATE

Good luck, can’t wait for the next part!
Im going thru this right now. Is annoying af. Was deciding to take it to the body shop until I saw your vid. Thanks!

Glad to hear it, it's one of those things you might not notice...but once you do It just screams at you to sort it out. Thanks for letting me know!
Dude I’ve got the same problem and watching your videos is such great commentary 😂
Nice work, Dario!
You’re a better man than me, I just self tapped and used screws and drywall anchors lmaoooo
Good day friend! I have a BMW 325i e90, I have problems very similar to those in your video! I'll see if I can solve it with your advice....thanks.
At 4:45 you said you would adjust the screws at the top a little more. How exactly did you do that?
Thats good OCD work! How many hours? I need to do mine...+ the wing...
Tell me about it. Can't remember exactly now... probably 3-4
Curious, do you have an oversized intercooler on yours at all? I’m having a hard time cinching up the bumper with the intercooler pushing it down
Omg this video helped ty !

So is this because the car had been in an accident and not realigned properly in the first instance?
No. Unsure why exactly but seems to be a pretty common thing with BMWs
