That's why derailments happen... Because the safety standards are sidestepped by big RR companies. Because the unions have no power..
I was a local 25 member for 35 years I was injured on the job during the pandemic I was able to keep working for 9 months till I could no longer in those 9 months I was on the list of workers to reduce forced overtime which the company ignored forcing me to work 14 hour days I was grieving the violation of my contract weekly with zero reduction of hours my injury worsened to the point I had to go on workers comp after a year on comp fighting the insurance company I had my 1st surgery I then lost my health care benefits since local 25 allows the company to stop making contributions in my name I have since had a 2nd surgery that will take at least a year of recovery it’s been 29 months of being in medical limbo including 17 months with no health benefits for me or my family yet my dues are still required every month I certainly hope mr obrien ( who I have supported throughout his rise up the union ladder and continue to support him ) will fix this oversight in this next contract

Mr O'Brien, I wish that I would have had your union representation when I was working. Many of these non union jobs won't give you a raise and that is only 3%at the most and talk of yearly, how about every other year!

That should fall under the President of the Las Vegas Local’s job initially. Then the regional president, and the list goes on and on until it eventually would reach President O’Brien’s office which then it would be handled immediately. Don’t hate the union because there’s one bad apple
