That was the best ending to your video ever.Your husband is so awesome. Lovely stitching. So happy about your wonderful trip. Can’t wait to hear all about it. Safe travels ❤
My hubby is hilarious. After 47 years (will be 48 in June), he still makes me laugh! I loved his telling Cocoa that they needed to get Halfstitch Cross Stitch to come clean up the mess. Hilarious! They cleaned it up themselves of course, but he did that to get a laugh out of me. It worked. LOL. Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 my husband and I have been married 55 years. I love . that he still makes me laugh. We like each other very much besides how much we love. When he called you Half Stitch Cross Stitch I just loved it so much!
Sooo good to see and share ALL of your stitchy progress!! Enjoy your cruise and take plenty of pictures!! Hope Coco's leg is better. HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2024!!
Karen, we had a blast on the cruise! We so enjoyed Canada, and meeting up with Marysa, and then with Cindy, Ann and Marion was awesome. I also made a new friend on the cruise who is a stitcher so I'll tell all about it in my upcoming video. Hope you are stitching every day in 2024! Dena
Thank you for sharing. I’m so glad Cocoa will get better. Your stitching is beautiful enjoyed seeing it. You are looking wonderful keep up the good work.
Happy stitching. ❤
Thank you so much! Cocoa is all better now and she is back at Fred's for just a couple of days while we go visit with our son. Happy Stitching! Dena
Hello Dena, loved hearing how far ahead you are forming a plan for a finish, including framing, on Snow & Mountains. I found that very useful so thank you for sharing that with us. Your T-shirt was just brilliant! I hope you have a wonderful trip and you have a lovely time meeting your fellow stitchers. I hope both Tommy and Cocoa are recovered - they certainly looked to be having a lot of fun with the unboxing. Happy stitching, Teresa 📦
Teresa, I am happy to report that Tommy did great on our trip. We took two walking tours, one in Quebec City and one in Bar Harbor and he didn't have any trouble, so he is about to pack up for his hiking trip. Hope you are having a great month of stitching. Dena
Have a fabulous trip. It is always great to meet new friends, it's one of my favorite parts of going to retreats. Happy Coco is on the mend.
Kanday, we had such a good time! We got home last night so today will be laundry, unpacking, and getting Cocoa from Fred's! Hope you have a great holiday weekend. Dena
So glad that Coco is not seriously ill or badly injured and will recover with rest and good care. Good luck getting him to not overdo. You are making great progress on your Nativity. Those wings are just so detailed and your stitching is beautiful as it is with everything.
So good to see your comment and know you visited with me. Cocoa seems to be healing very well, and has been playing at Fred's this past week as we traveled to Canada. We pick her up today so we will see how she is doing once we get her home. I do appreciate your kind words regarding Nativity. I would like to put some extra time in that piece this month and possibly really work on it some in July for Christmas in July. It is such a full piece, but I love it and I want to finish it someday. Dena
You've been doing such a great job knocking out finishes and progress. Im so glad to hear/see Cocoa feeling better!
Angela, thanks so much for stopping in to visit. I have been having a great stitching year so far. Traveling has slowed down my finishes, but I have certainly been having some new starts! LOL. Cocoa is coming home today from Fred's so I am very happy to be seeing her in just a little while. I have missed her while we traveled. Dena
I love your little whale finish. I am so thankful Cocoa is better. You are looking awesome, Dena. I hope you and Tommy have a safe and wonderful time. I can't wait hear all about it.
Crystal, so happy you liked my Whale Hello There finish! I appreciate your compliment regarding my weight loss very much. I am grateful to be healthier now. Happy Stitching! Dena
One of my favorite things about our stitchy groups is the new info I get, whether that be new charts, new flosstubes, or new groups to join. I’m sorry about poor Coco’s sprain, hope she (and your hubs!) feels better soon!
My hubby did great on the trip and now he can prepare to hike again. He has permission to go on his three week hike as long as he takes shorter days (8 to 10 miles). He will begin packing today. Dena
Dena...love all your progress...congratulations on your finish...best wishes and safe travels ❤❤
Loretta, thanks so much for the travel wishes. We had a blast! I tell all in my upcoming video (which I will start working on today). Happy Stitching! Dena
Dena I don;t know how you get so much beautiful stitching done. you fly through it. Glad Cocoa is going to be ok. Looks like she was having fun with the paper. I bet she has a ball at Christmas time. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy meeting your friends. Safe travels and happy stitching,
Linda, you are so right. Cocoa loves Christmas time. She enjoys opening her own presents and will help everyone else open theirs if we let her. LOL. I do enjoy my stitching and am so blessed to be able to spend so much time doing my craft. We had a wonderful trip and I will tell all about it in my next video. Stay tuned! In the meantime, happy stitching to you! Dena
Oh my gosh! I just spent two hours catching up with you and your stitching! You have been busy with finishes. I love to hear you talk of your meet-ups and zoom calls, too. May Monday starts have been really successful for you. It's so fun to see your progress. I use Mondays for Mill Hill projects. By now, you are on your way to cruising. Have a wonderful time. How fun it will be to meet up with stitchy friends! So glad Cocoa is healing nicely. ❤
Judy, so glad you were able to catch up and I hope you were stitching while watching! We had a wonderful cruise and just got home last night. Tommy is picking up Cocoa as I write this so I cannot wait to see her. I did get to stitch some on the trip as well, but this trip we spent most of our time exploring Canada. We want to go back again. Dena
Have a wonderful trip and safe travels!
Karin, we had a wonderful trip and made it there and back safely so thank you for the well wishes for our travels. Dena
Thank you for a great catch up. Beautiful stitching as always. Hope you have a wonderful cruise and I look forward to hearing all about that too! Happy stitching x
Susan, we had a blast on our cruise! We loved seeing Canada and meeting several people! Will tell all in next video. Dena
Dena - I can't wait to hear all about your cruise and the excursions you're going on. I laughed so hard at Cocoa having the zoomies! I'm glad she's not seriously hurt. I fall more in love with your Nativity every time I see it. (That's what happened when you were doing Giggles in the Snow, and then I ended up needing to do it myself. 🤣🤣) Happy stitching! - TaMara
TaMara, I will be working on the video about the cruise today and probably tomorrow, but I will get it out there as soon as I can. We had such a great time. I looking forward to seeing your video. I have been away from Floss Tube during the cruise, so I will have a lot to catch up on. Dena
Hi Dena! I hope you're enjoying your trip visiting the different ports and stitching buddies! Looking forward to hearing all about it! Loved seeing all your stitching in this video! Lori💕
Lori, I cannot wait to talk with you soon! We had such a wonderful time. We want to do it again! Dena

Neil, thanks so much for the holiday wishes. We just got home last night from our cruise so today will be laundry and unpacking. But I plan on some stitching as well. Dena
I am so glad you are able to meet your friends in person because of your cruise. It will be very special for you. I have been able to meet the Bos Stitchers, Jane and Chris, from Boston because we made the effort to connect when in each others’ cities. I flew to Boston in September to start a cruise and they came to the hotel where I stayed the night before and we spent some precious time together stitching. This past month, they came to Stitch North in Toronto and I drove to meet them at the retreat location and we went out for supper together. So nice to build the friendship.
As an aside, the cruise from Boston was with a group of cross stitchers! The trip was organized by Jean Farish and her daughters, Catherine and Elizabeth. Their company, Stitchers Escapes, does 2 or 3 cruises each year. I went with my cross stitching sister-in-law and we had a marvelous trip. From Boston, we went north around the Canadian Maritime provinces, up the St. Lawrence River to Quebec City and then back to Boston. Our Canadian ports included Halifax, NS and Charlottetown, PEI. I would do it again in a heartbeat because we had so much fun with approx 100 cross stitchers. My husband doesn’t care to travel but he doesn’t mind if I go.
Christine from Ontario
Christine, our cruise was just the opposite of yours, we started in Montreal, went to Quebec City, then Charlottetown PEI, then Sydney, Halifax and Bar Harbor, ending in Boston. We are thinking we might want to do an out and back from Boston next time. Yes, we are thinking of doing it again because we loved it so much. Dena
Have a great trip. I like the whale piece, its a fun piece. Happy stitching
Nina, there are six in the Whale series, all different little animals. Very sweet and child like faces so I think they are precious. I will eventually stitch all of them I think. Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 o six. That is a lot. They are really really cute.

Glad you had such a lovely Mother's Day weekend. And really happy to hear that Cocoa is on the mend. Enjoy your cruise! Last year I cruised to Nova Scotia and it was so relaxing, visited Peggys Cove and Halifax. People are super friendly and a personal tour sounds lovely.
We had a wonderful cruise to Canada! I will tell all about it on my next video, but suffice it to say we plan on going back again! Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 So happy for you!😀

Thanks so much, Linda, for the kind compliment on Nativity! I need to keep putting stitches in that one more regularly so I can get it done. Dena

🌻🌻🌻
hi Janet! Glad you could stop by! Dena
Hey Dena, do you ever lose your stitchy bug? If so how do you manage to get it back? How funny about Cocoa and Tommy quick healing wishes to them both. Hope you enjoy your trip, and meet ups, sounds like a lot of fun! Cocoa looks quite well there at the end destroying the paper, so funny. Talk to you soon. Happy Stitching!
I have lost my stitch bug a time or two. I find that is when I clean out my stitching storage closets, do a sewing project or finishing project, go to lunch with girl friends, etc. Then I start a planning session of what I want to do in the next few months, etc. and after that short break, playing in my stash for the planning seems to spark me to stitch again. Sometimes, it is a finish or a new start that is the spark. I think taking a break (even if it is for a day or so) has been enough for me in most cases. Dena
Hello Dena, lovely stitching as always and you look great as usual! Just wanted to make sure you know there is another design that goes with the Christmas set you are stitching from Hands on Design. It is a charity piece titled "N is for Narwhal" available only on her website. I tried to check in past videos to see if you already knew about the Narwhal design, if you do, please forgive me. Love Cocoa at the end!
I have the Norwhal piece as well. I bought the charity piece when it was offered and can't wait to stitch it too. I do appreciate you making sure I knew about it though, no worries there. Happy Stitching to you! Dena
