Honda Key Fob Conversion to Flip Key

The key for your Accord resembles the key for a 2008 civic. In which case, that means that your key flip mod would work for me 2008 civic si!

His old key was already programmed to the car, he just switched over the circuit board to the new key, the new key he bought is basically just a shell

I got the key cut by a locksmith and I tried it before replacing the buttons and the green key light came on and shut off the engine. Do I need to get the key cut at the dealer?

Narom Louis when you put the key on , put a little pressure to turn on , I did it and most of the time the key work , if not , just take the key out and put it back , make sure no green key light show up on dash board

You tired it before replacing the buttons, the car needs to sense the key along with the buttons because the buttons have a chip, and it needs the chip close to the ignition for it to stay on, since you just turned the cars ignition with the new key without the chip nearby it didn’t allow it to stay on, and thats why you had the green light come on.

Nope. Just get the new key cut by a locksmith then transfer the chip inside your original key inside of this new flip key housing.

Ace hardware cuts those keys for $10 a side, you would have saved $5.

Couple Ace hardware stores did not want to cut my keys if I didn't buy from them and theirs were $90/piece vs the $7.50 I got on ebay
