These orchestrations are so good! I love how he isn’t afraid to only use what he needs. The oboe at 13:17 is the sound I have always imagined, beautiful. I can hear the influence of so many composers in this. Looking forward to following the score to Book II!
My composition professor has always told me that you know its a good piece when it holds up when arranged for different instrumentations. This is a testament to that.
@@daph0307 Indeed. It is mostly true if the change is just different instruments in chamber ensemble size. A good piano sonata can easily be played as a string quartet or quintet. But a full orchestration is a tricky thing. Many people who did it, fell into the trap of trying to fill up the textures too much and made a muddy mess out of it.
@@daph0307 try and read it more as a mark of a good composer. Sure, not everyone is going to be able to orchestrate every piece and it's going to magically sound good. But look at Ravel, his orchestrations are nearly flawless. A composer might not be able to do that all the time, but a great one can.

Une merveilleuse découverte ! Grand merci à Barje Bartmans pour ce joyau
Absolutely wonderful! Every piece is masterfully orchestrated, incredible colors!
What a little gem you have unearthed.
Чудесно! So splendid arr. for Orchestra. Music for my tired soul... Bravo, Chopin, geniusly! Where is my headphones?
Very particular and precise distribution of arpegi among the strings, I miss piano in the first, but for the others it works very well
This is fantastic. I hope you post Book II
GREAT!!!!!
thank you very much
Amazing!
Interesting endeavor, a sparse use of the orchestra indeed, I think the last 5 are the most successful. Thank you for sharing.
Woah, sounds like Tchaikovsky!
