i ran into my first chest pal earlier, it went exactly like this. “um what the fuk kinda chest is that?? let me punch it open since i can’t press f on it. OH SHIT”
If Im not mistaken, mimog won't run away if it's a pal attacking them versus a human, so be mindful of if/when a pal or npc is attacking them and if they're at rick of seeing you. You can just attaxk a mimog on a jetdragon until it's dead if you wanted (since it's technically the pal attacking it instead of you) or just letting a pal get out their bloodlust lol. I personally prefer to catch and butcher them later for their other loot, eve if they don't drop dog coin twice in that regard. I also like hunting for them in deserts at night since a flat area allows for more poyential spawn points and their glowing at night makes them easier to spot. Hopefully future updates will make dog coins easier to farm or even give them more uses. I'm not in a rush and don't have much of a need for them just yet but I do like hoarding potential loot like a dragon anyway lol.
That's true. I find it quicker to launch a rocket at mimog since it only takes 1 hit. I wouldnt use Jetdragon to attack mimog since you don't get the triple drop from having katress or blazehowel out. Yes, I agree, its why I mentioned the desert biome, It's much easier. I'm sure they will, if they introduce level 60 pals with the next major patch then surely Mimog will also spawn in that biome at level 60. However, if dog coins are too easy to farm then it will completely change the breeding meta reducing the grind.
For mimog farming I usually runbover them with pyrin to stun them, but it does next to no damage. but every time it gets stunned shoot it with a gun a bullet or two and run over again. Pyrin noct actually boosts your weapon damage by 50% and converts it all to dark which is extra effective against neutral pals, like mimog. stunlock and shoot, just don't let it run away. Blazehowl noct doesn't boost damage but it makes neutral palss drop more loot so that is an option too. I just always have pyrin noct in my team cos it's the fastest mount that can fit through dungeons, as long as it's not an alpha variant. he's especially good in sakurajima dungeons cos most of enemies are also fire+dark so pyrin takes only half damage from most of the mobs over there. getting shotgunned by some earth type pals is still a danger in the boss rooms or if you find a shiny kikit or something.
@@StylesMcAtee i have a mod which i downloaded over on nexus mod manager. It allows me to go free cam, take screenshots and record footage among other things
i didnt even know about the dog coins. i was looking for it because of its passive, unlock any chest. iv tried breeding for it but guides and calculators arnt very reliable in that sort.
I fly up and down the lava flow area near the desert and farmed thousands of the coins in a short while (enough to max out all stats for myself in about 2.5-3 hrs total
@@WvSharpshooter the lava flow area have lower level Mimog, so the drop less dogcoin. Also the terrain is black so it's much more difficult to find them by site. There spawn rate is also the same as sakurajima Island.
I wonder if by the time the level cap is 100 whether we'll be farming level 100 mimogs and getting hundreds of dog coins per. At that point, I'd rather farm mimogs than IVs.
I'm 100% sure you can just kill it with some Pal's without explosion damage. I've been killing them with a Beakon (lightning streak), they will not run.
Beakon wont give you the triple drop which you will get from blazehowel or katress. Though I might experiment with that. Giving AOE abilities with a Blazehowel to see if it will not aggro Mimog.
If you craft the hanging trap directly on Mimog, he'll get caught, and cant move XD I "catch" him, drop his health, then catch and butcher for those bonus XL training manuals lol.
Yeh if you're catching them it's probably more effective, however if you are only farming dog coin then it takes less time shooting Mimog with a rocket launcher. Also XL training manuals are not guaranteed to drop when you butcher Mimog.
More details for easier spawn: Set the viewing distance to High, not Maximum, you'll be able to find them easier because they'll spawn from further away but they will despawn faster too, too little range and you have to be too careful, maximum range and you'll have to move away a lot so they despawn. I've been lucky to get 3 different spawns very close from each other, making over 1.000 coins in 1 minute, the most I've got from 1 spawn of 3 mimogs is 372 coins.
Thats a good tip thanks! I just did some testing with low viewing distance, looks like even though the pals disappear faster with low viewing distance it doesn't mean they respawn. However, I did compare High view distance to Maximum though I didn't notice much of a difference when it came to the pals respawn, though I'm sure it makes a difference since the game is loading in a little less within the render bubble. I'm guessing you have your drop rates up higher or playing on normal difficulty? Actually, that made me realize, my testing was only made on Hard difficulty.... rip
@@Vomakith I fixed the grammar a bit, yes, i think i do have the drop rate set to 3X, i haven't tested with the regular settings, but i can remember that with normal settings and a maxed out Katress, i was getting about the same or more than with 3x drops without using katress, so the Katress makes more of an impact in my very small investigation. I think that this strategy could become a nice heplful video, i kept trying, burning time at the volcanic strip, and i just couldn't get much, but with this other method i just described, i was easily getting a lot of dog coins, now i feel more positive about fixing those almost perfect pals that decided to hatch with 1 shitty stat but perfect passives. Too bad you tried in hard mode, but extensive testing is not something you are lazy about, this channel proves it.
@@Al.j.Vasquez Cheers mate that means a lot! Yes Katress 3x the potential drop and so does Blazehowel, which blows my mind since on normal difficulty it's not too hard to farm up enough dog coins to get your first 100 IV pal.
I found early game farming spot. I'm new to the game, but have been farming them at the Dunes near Anubis. Flying with Vanwyrm and they are easy to spot in this area. I've even found them back to back within seconds. I had 100 coin in a short time. They drop around 15 coin give or take and are around level 20 or less. Palbeam does not make them run so I just sit and wait for recharge.

So, your character has a sphere/radius around them. Pals inside that sphere are pals which have spawned, outside that radius have not spawned. Once you move over that spawn point the game renders in a pal or human, there is a % chance for each including certain events and if the pal will be shiny. So, if you were to move around a circuit like a racetrack, you would have multiple spawn locations respawn with the chance of a different pals showing up, also spawning with different passive's and IV's. If you run your chosen circuit enough times you can force a rare spawn to take place.... like Mimog.
So, I'll copy the same reply I sent you in my breeding IV guide. IV shortened for Individual Value. A term used in the Pokemon community which the palworld community has also adopted. I believe Pocket Pair refers to them as Talents. Health, Attack, and Defense respectively have a hidden value between 1-100. The higher that value is the higher additional percentage that the base stat is with 100 being a +30% and 0 being a +0%.
Lazy man IV farming? You mean the most efficient way to max out IVs without needlessly breeding thousands of eggs?... there's nothing skill intensive about waiting to see if you will get the perfect egg although some players enjoy that rng grind fest breeding for passives is more then enough investment along with farming coins.
I wasn't saying that in a negative way. Yes, dog coins can be more effective at grinding IVs especially when your drop rates are turned up. Though on with vanilla settings on hard difficulty you are better off passing on at least 80 IVs while breeding your raid team with their ideal passives and holy burst.
