Thank you Mary: really helpful. It would be great to understand if you use tongs or hands for the dipping and then how you deal with any finger imprints?
Hi Jane, I have been thinking about the video and ways to teach everyone more about these types of glazes and so will make another showing and talking about the glaze process. However, it won’t be for quite a few months till I fire in that program again. I am firing the R4 program next and could do a video showing how I glaze the Shino work and other glazes that go in that firing. Do you think that would be helpful for people? I know most of the potters don’t have gas kilns so am not sure if it’s going to be that helpful for most. But if it is I’m willing to give it a go. ❤️🦊 ps, I use tongs for the most part and as the oil spot glazes are so thick, finger prints don’t show.
Thank you! Such beautiful glazes… I’m just at the start of my journey of glaze learning and videos like this are gold dust 😊 Will definitely buy your book. You mentioned another book.. ?Brett.. can you tell me what book that is? Thank you
Hi Elizabeth, I’m pleased to hear that my video was helpful and that you are going to buy my book 😊 John Britt has 2 books on glazes, I mentioned his High Fire Glazes but he also has a book on midrange glazes. Both are good 👍😊🦊
Absolutely stunning 🥰
I hope you do more.
Great video
Great glaze video Mary! I love the oil spot glaze and great of you to give us an idea of dipping three or four times. Keep those video's coming.
Thanks, I’m pleased that it was helpful ❤️🦊
It’s so incredibly generous of you to share information like this so freely. Thank you for all you do!
Thanks Kelly, I can see how I can improve on this type of video and impart more knowledge….I’ll be giving it a good long think 😁
Please more on Terrisicilate mix and application.
