I own an H6 St with just a rear motor and where I live with Rolling Hills at times I can get 6 to 7 miles an hour with pedaling on some of those hills. I added a direct drive front motor and now it zips up the hills at about 18 and 20 mph. It is very helpful. I'm at 260 lbs.
A single Middrive motor is whats needed, dual hub motors is a work around. I ride a rear hub ebike and get along ok. Riding my neighbors middrive is crazy strong on climbs where my 750 watt hub struggles. I'm fine with my ride as it is but if I ever have to replace my bike it will definitely be a middrive.
I own a dual motor bike that has actual "on the fly" switching of single to dual motor, it's as simple as if you're pedaling using pedal assist only the rear motor is used, if i want both motors, I have to twist the throttle.
I just sold a dual motor bike to a deer hunter. It will work well for him. As for me a dual motor is useless as tits on a boar hog because I’m in the flatlands. Good video
hi there found your channel today & like your review :) was that the eco AWD mode? or the lightening bolt AWD mode? looked to be fast, so my guess is lightening bolt AWD :) yeah Im in the woods of North Idaho. so there are logging roads all around me. the grades are long at times [2 to 3 miles] from 8% to 18% with short runs reaching 22% I have a couple 750 watt ebikes that are "legal' for parks & most of their trails. I do like the fat tires as mostly my rides are loose gravel/dirt. the cruiser ebikes serve me well on those ez rides. I got those for the "public" places. ;) Im wanting to get an ebike to ride the logging roads & my hope is that maybe the wallke H7 might do it? [I like the step thru] to go where a loaded truck can go. the H7 now has dual 1000 watt motors & that 60 Ah battery, so might get me up & on the ez grades n flats that rear motor will be good for me. & im more of a distance/range guy, the top speed isnt so important for me. I putt along @ 12 to 14 mph often 8 to 10 mph to look around @ the wildlife & scenery. the deer, Elk, Turkey wander thru my yard daily rarely have I seen Moose & Elk in the yard. [in the day time] I have seen a few cougars tho, of various sizes, a mix of male & female. on rides I surprise deer a lot - lol and see Elk waay over on yonder ridge. nope I dont hunt anymore, its more fun to see them, shoot with a camera as Ive killed a few in the past, & then the work began. Im a lazy boy now :) Im 6'4" 230lbs & 64 so im just a tourist. & yeah I know my ATV & dirt bikes will take me up the logging roads, but an ebike is quieter. ;)
@@bellyacres7846 Thanks for watching😀 Based on what you told me the H7 is a great bike for you. I can’t find one bike that checks every box but this one comes close. The only problem I see for you would be the logging roads. The suspension is one area that may not be the best for off road logging roads. I don’t know without seeing the trails. You can get yourself a suspension seat post and that will solve any issues you may have. You are doing your homework and I wish you good luck. Keep me posted
@@Ebiketips1 yup suspension might be an issue, But it has it & a little upgrade of the rear shocks "might" help I like the hard tails, so Im used to that. a little rut? no problem If the bike can do it? so can I - lol
I'd take the 1000 watt hub with more range allday. Thing is Wallke has done away with the h6 bikes and only have the dual now which I can't figure out why .
Great video on the pro's and cons of dual motors, and great observations on battery usage with 1000w motors.
@@theridewithlance not scientific, just observations. Thanks for watching

I like the dual motor bikes for the hill climbing power. That's what matters most in my area.
@@WyomingRider It’s nice having the power when you need it💪🏼
@@Ebiketips1 Exactly! You can always turn the extra motor off when you don't need it.

Good review! Do the motors sync well with each other? How long does the battery last?
Motors seem good and the distance depends on so many things with a dual motor bike. Thanks for watching Glenn
