These last three years, I've been looking into all of her performances and falling back in love with her talent. I'm also very proud to see how well she's doing when she's relaxed and comfortable in her own home. I think she's amazing!
Yes she has 5 octaves... but only 4 octaves in this performance lol. C3-C7. Her highest recorded note is obviously Bb7/B7 but she didn’t hit them notes yet. That would follow in her next album. So there’s no correction to be made.

To me Mariah is a prime example of working to perfect her craft. Her mother worked with her every day to the level of perfection that she has reached. Truly a hard worker and an aspiration to many.
She had issues with higher belted notes in her debut era and coupled with her nervousness, the higher notes are further squeezed therefore her voice sounded raspy towards the end
