I hope the quality control has improved in the past 10 years or so. Back in 2010 I bought a Long Ranger 180 litre tank to replace the 50 litre sub tank in my 100 Series. Fitting it was going to be too big a job for me, so I got a local mechanic to do the job. Half way through the morning he gives me a call: "Better come around here....something's not right". So, I go around to his workshop and the problem was VERY apparent. You blokes make up a steel ring with tapped holes, to mount the factory sender unit into. Trouble with mine was that it was welded on to the tank by the School kid who was doing work experience...UPSIDE DOWN. Now I live in a small country town in South Australia and I rang LR to see what they thought. Well, they couldn't give a flying fig about the issue. Said I could send it back (at MY expense) or sort out whatever way I could. It was going to cost hundreds of $$$ to send it back, so I chose to get the mechanic shop to drill and tap a whole new set of holes and weld-up the old ones. What a far-cup!!! Thanks for nothing LR Tanks!!!!!
@@jamescopeland3173 I have a memory like an elephant mate. I can (and do) forgive companies that make mistakes WHEN THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR MISTAKE AND OFFER TO REMEDY.... However, when they wipe you like a dirty arse, they stick in my memory for EVER!!!
Question to Long Ranger Tanks: I have a 2019 PX3 Ford Ranger dual cab ute and I would like to install a long range fuel tank, my question is if I fit one of these tanks, I have been told that the distance to empty will not work correctly as the cars computer will still only calculate distance to empty for 80L, is there a fix for this?
I have along ranger tank ln my fj cruiser has a aux dash light showing how much is left in the tank once i pump it across to the main tank lights go on and off as it emptys have problem with all lights staying on even when there is no fuel left in the tank can any one help me how to fix this
I have run several Long rangers over the years, top quality tanks never a single issue. Cheers Steve

You might be able to remap the ecu but other than that you probably can't.
What about distance to empty readings on a Pajero Sport?

That the wait time for one is insane even for a 200 series Landcruiser 🤦♂️
