How do you style your sneakers to look chic? Share below! 👟✨
If you could please label the items you show, so we know the brand and where to buy them, it would be super helpful, thank you
Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll definitely start labeling the items I showcase so you can easily find the brands and where to purchase them. I’m glad you find that helpful, and I really appreciate your feedback! 😊
I’m so glad socks are back in style. I never stopped wearing them, I can’t stand the feeling of bare toes in closed-toe shoes. The no-socks thing was carried to extremes in the last two decades, I saw women out in the snow with bare ankles. Fashion can be extreme, but style doesn’t have to be and usually it isn’t. Most of these looks are fairly quiet and classic.
I completely agree! Socks can definitely add that comfort and style element without compromising the look. Fashion can push boundaries, but those timeless, classic pieces and ideas always seem to stay relevant. Plus, it’s always a good idea to experiment and try new things or combinations 🙋♀️🥰❤️
At this point I have nine pair of (not gym) sneakers and have been wearing them for most of my outings. Platform sneakers are my favorite. One thing that makes them look even better is to tuck the laces inside of the shoe after tying. This gives a more sleek polished look.
Wow, nine pairs of sneakers-now that’s a collection! Platform sneakers are such a fun and versatile choice. I love the tip about tucking in the laces-it really does give a cleaner, more polished look. I’ll have to try that out! Thanks for sharing your style trick! 😊👟
Age 58, I've just bought my first pair of Adidas Handball Spezial trainers/sneakers in blue with white stripes and they're a revelation - so comfortable! I love them. I'm going to wear them with A line knee-length skirts and a polo collar top. I even found a baseball cap that actually looks great on me, I used to hate them, but I love mine and it really flatters my face without looking too casual/sporty. I call it casual chic. I've also bought a pair of wide leg jeans - what's happening to me?!!!! But seriously, comfort is important and the wide jeans actually minimise my belly, which sticks around despite my slim weight. It's good to be a little more current and we're lucky we can wear these clothes/accessories at any age now, what a great time to be modern and stylish.

Im 69 years old and unfortunately suffer from pretty bad arthritis. I wear sneakers almost exclusively most of the year, but I make sure my outfits are French chic, coastal grandma or quiet luxury, and the sneakers are cool and sleek. I have 2 pairs of Adidas (white and red), Nike AF1s, and then some white New Balance for when im going to really be on my feet a lot.
Thank you so much for sharing! I absolutely love how you incorporate French chic and quiet luxury into your sneaker looks-it’s the perfect blend of style and comfort. Your sneaker collection sounds fantastic, and I love how practical yet fashionable you keep your outfits. Those New Balance sneakers are definitely a go-to for long days on your feet! 💛❤️🥰😍🤗
I like suede or leather, especially woven leather, slip-on sneakers or sneaker mules. I think they look a bit more polished than athletic styles. I wear mostly dresses and skirt outfits, though, so prefer a mid-heel leather sandal, pump or boot than sneakers with them. During my career, we got so much criticism for wearing sneakers with our corporate outfits for our commutes. I had a mile to walk at each end over broken concrete rubble and rough ground, and most other women had to walk just as far to and from their bus, train or ferry. We just couldn’t have worn our office shoes for this. Maybe this criticism stuck with me, but sneakers don’t give me the extra height I crave, either, like my 2-3 inch heels do (I can’t wear higher ones). Also, working in San Francisco as I did, we could always tell tourists by their sneakers, we natives only wore good leather shoes unless out running. It’s funny how these 40-year old things stick with one.
I love your insight on footwear choices, especially the practicality of slip-on sneakers and mules. It’s so interesting how different regions and commuting habits influence our style choices! Your personal experience really adds depth to the discussion-thanks for sharing! This information will definitely be helpful for my viewers, I am grateful for your tips and feedback 😍❤️🥰
If you sign up for LTK or a similar app, you could make commissions for any items that you show and link here. It’s not a lot for each item, and it doesn’t cost the buyer anything, but it can add up. You should get something back for all the hard work you put into your videos! We viewers love links because we can go straight to any items that appeal to us and help support the channels we love, like yours, at the same time. Like many of your other viewers, I’m in the US so I recommend that you go through the US versions of the brands’ websites for those links. Most non-US links don’t work or they don’t offer the same items here (we rarely see white and light-colored versions here, for example, the fashion powers-that-be incorrectly think we only wear black). I would say less than 10% of non-US links actually get us to the items shown. Plus, we Americans do buy tons of wardrobe items, more than those of any other country. You might want to show mid-level and low-price (like H&M) versions, too, I only buy “premium high street” or higher level ones because I need natural fibers. Good luck with monetizing your channel, I wish you well. You have a great eye and your writing is very fresh, not just the same old tired scripts we get elsewhere (your English is excellent, too),🙂
That’s a fantastic suggestion, Kimberly! I’ve been considering expanding into affiliate options like LTK, so I really appreciate your tips on this, especially regarding US-specific links. It’s great to know that small commissions can add up, and I’ll definitely think about featuring more mid-level brands like H&M alongside higher-end options. Thanks again for your kind words and encouragement! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
