I'm not afraid to hear opinions I don't agree with, Hell, I listen to far left political commentary more than I listen to center-left. What bothers me are simplistic takes. Take the Kapaernick thig as an example. What bothered me about the whole situation wasn't the protest or the message. It was the idea that if you didn't 100% support Kapaernick specifically, it was because you were a racist. When the truth is that he was an incredibly unlikeable messenger, so a lot of people, myself included, thought he did more harm than good. At the same time, I hated the notion that his protest was about veterans orvthe military, which became the narrative in right wing circles. That's not what his protest was about, and false narratives hijacked the conversation.
So that's what bothers me. I despise takes without nuance from either side. The thing is, you aren't going to hear any right wing takes in the sports entertainment world, so ya, most of the bad takes are left-wing.

I just want to say 2 things about Trump. 1 - he's so frickin lucky ! 2 - it was really big of him to say that we should be united as a nation in this, rather than letting it divide us even further.

I mean part of the reason "you can't be right" is that it definitely looks suspicious when you feel the need to interject politics into your show constantly when its a "left leaning" moment in history like BLM but when its a potentially even bigger deal but it affects the "right wing" now you dont wanna talk about, now you wanna stick to sports. It's like how you rattled off all those incidents of violence happening but mentioned things like "Obama and his kids getting threats" not attempts but threats, but didn't mention the actual most recent political violence we've had Steve Scalise nearly getting shot up on a baseball field.
It's a good way to shore up your holes created by your biases but also yeah if you can never remember that Steve Scalise actually got shot but you easily remember that Obama got mere threats, and you NEED to speak out with BLM but when it comes to an attempted Trump assassination now you stick to sports, that's a clear pattern and at that point your actions are starting to speak louder than your words.
BLM overlapped with sports because the majority of NFL and NBA players are Black and some were using their platforms to speak out against injustices. Trump's bloody ear has nothing to do with sports conversation, at least not yet. It's really not difficult to understand.
The very thing you are complaining about they are talking about. The irony.

Colin once said he essentially leans more liberal on social issues but wants a conservative to run his finances. The cadence of this interview is nutso. When you see two radio pro's do a podcast it feels somehow scripted, but not. Really cool to see the difference here vs with Nick Wright where Nick's constantly talking over Colin or cutting him off.

All in on Trump. Guy who grew up poor, made a lot of unconventional choices, and who is doing relatively well now (better than anyone else in my family) - no debt and will be building a house with cash. Not beating my chest and trying to impress, just relating my life experience, but really happy with the life me and my wife (100% soul mate) have created. Really really do not understand Democrat politics AT ALL. Most of my family are liberal - except for me and my older sister. Older sister is doing fine. Liberal younger brother is doing OK - very liberal and gay. Younger sister's life is a disaster - very liberal, convicted felon (serious charges - not Trump-like), kids with different fathers and never married.

I'm a Pats fan living in Wisconsin and when he was there for us to draft I was praying to God he'd be the pick. When Packers took him I told all my friends(who hated the pick)that hes going to be an awesome franchise QB. Got a lot of laugh reacts on my FB post at the time. Thankfully we have Maye now, who I see a ton of Jordan Love in and makes me believe he'll also be great. Same exact build, both have insane arm strength, both are big QBs who can run. Both had elite seasons at 19/20yrs old with no NFL talent around them then regressed their last years, albeit Drake's regression was no where near as bad as Jordan's
