There was a 2-3 year stretch where I didn’t watch an nba game, but I watched the tnt crew every week. I counted on them to keep the love of basketball going even while the product was bad. These guys can do it.

Inside the NFL has been massively popular on HBO, with no game broadcasts, for 40 years. They could do an hour once a week. It would be more popular than it is now. Interviews, deep dive segments, guest commenters from players to coaches to pundits, that show would be a massive hit. Exactly at the right time for the NBA.

Full credit to TNT here. They are essentially saying the burden to taking away our rights via a voided contract is on the networks and the NBA. We have matched the contract for the TV deal. You are all going to have to go to court to void the contract. If the burden isn’t on TNT to try to prove the contract, I actually like this stance. If I had to guess, the NBA is simply going to split games between the networks because whatever makes money makes sense.

They are talking about what is going on in 2 years. People are still worried about their jobs 1 year and a half out. These TNT employees are lucky. I've never understood why they couldn't just continue doing their show but in a longer format, it's essentially a highlights & discussion show already. After the games were over they only did highlights & talk to players already, they could make this show 2 or 3hrs each night
Charles is trying to do the right thing and cares about the people. While Charles is great, and the show is great. You HAVE to have the games. You have to have the access. Without it its not the same.
They could do the same show, twice or three times a week, before the NBA slate starts for that night, and after the second window (or maybe just cover the first window!). They just need permission, like any other network, to show highlights of completed games.
I will say this. After watching the video and evaluating everything, I think Charles’s main priority is keeping people employed at Turner. That’s just my theory tho.
Tnt don't need the nba for them to do the show they can still do a pregame,halftime report and post game they can just watch the game in the back like they normally do and they can still do interviews as well
