Hey Try Nice, loving the strategy discussions in this 2v2 series.
One thing I was wondering - did you consider taking the 6-5-12 with the first road settle? I think you had the opportunity on your turn in the first orbit. Don’t know if it would be worth it in the long run, but I could see some logic in that it locks them out of good sheep and it provides more wheat for port fuel, although it delays the port settle.

We were definitely talking about it during the initial setup and someone else mentioned this during the stream (13:25).
Ultimately, I think that we were focused on using our original 2 Wood to Road + Settle the Wheat Port, which then solves all of our potential production shortages. One thing I've noticed about these 2v2 games is that they're very rapid in the the sense that the team that has the quicker start is usually able to keep their nose in front and push steadily towards the win.
That's not to say that there wasn't any value in going for it, but I think that setting ourselves up in a way where we fed the win to Tonty was the overarching idea, and giving him the cards to Road + Settle gives us a critical port while also getting us one more VP closer to achieving the main objective.
Very nice game, 2 quick VPs for a fast win.
Yeah, we were pretty lucky to get those VPs from the deck, but I think we put ourselves in a position to win in the next round or two regardless.
