9:56 I don't agree. Most cities on the east coast are more depressed. At least in New Mexico the weather is mostly sunny and not as depressing as you mention. And it has a characteristic structure. Although the streets are empty, it does not make you feel unsafe. Unlike the cities of most east coast states.
Me and my family used to go here as migrants every summer to work in the fields ever since i could remember. Im 35 now and i have so many beautiful memories about this place its a beautiful city to live at

I travel around the country and love this city. Beautiful mountain backdrop, tons of outdoor activities, and some of the best mexican/native american food on the planet. Not to mention new mexico people are super nice. If you dont like going outside i guess i can see why you would hate it but for someone who loves nature and the outdoors its amazing.

If you would have went on the opposite side of i25 you would have seen super nice homes and neighborhoods such as sonoma ranch. I didn't see you try any of the local foods and not to sound mean but you don't seem like you do any outdoor activities. There's a whole mountain range on the east side of town with tons of amazing hiking trails.

My husband and I were in Las Cruces NM not long ago looking at homes. We drove through out the entire city and I can honestly say this video is NOT giving an accurate description of Las Cruses. This is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve seen. Sure there are bad parts of the city as there are in EVERY CITY. Las Cruces is Lush and beautiful.
I must be stupid. I retired down here from Philly. Much better life style. It can be a little on the poor side . But it doesn't stink like getting off a plane in Philly.
I like how you were judging when you only went to the part of town that doesn’t look too good. Every city has a part of town that is considered the “bad part of town”. You should have driven through Sonoma, the red hawk golf course/neighborhood, or behind A mountain (it’s the mountain with the A on it). But those are the nicest neighborhoods in town in my opinion.

There's some upscale suburban subdivisions (though technically some are at least partly within the city limits) just OUTside the city of The Crosses... The entire core of Las Cruces is depressed!
I knew a guy stayed there Arthur Gonzalez Jr and all they did was crime and get high and said it was a terrible city but that was his home I hope he's doing fine he stayed in San Antonio Texas for a while him and his mom but then moved back there and his mom passed away then his dad died so hope he's doing well😢

Its so hard to describe Las Cruces. Been here for 2 yrs. The mountains are a gem- gorgeous. But the city is so run down, lots of abandoned strip malls and buildings make it look unappealing. Good mexican food. Not much to do unless you want to wander around the farmers market every saturday- its ok. Its kind of a boring city but I guess you could do worse. Do not go out in the evening when people are high and racing their cars all over town. Homeless population is high. Crime is high. If you live in an expensive home up in the hills, its safer but you will still be bored.
