Thank You for detailed review. I noticed that the bobbin plate that catches thread from the needle, is made of plastic. Is it durable enough for such kind of machine. Will it last long? Is there metal version for that part?
Myra Thomas it actually is not a big deal which way it goes. Some people do it one way, others do it the other way. More important is how the spoil of thread is put onto the holder.
@@janomelife Thank you for your quick and kind reply. Yes, I see how it would be a moot issue for the type of spool used in this video because that kind of spool would have a gap between the holder and the end of the spool anyway, although for spools that are flat on both ends, placing the cap so its flush against the spool prevents thread tangling around the spool pin as an extra precaution.
I have the same machine which I would like to clean. Have tried repeatedly and cannot remove the screws from the needle plate as they have been tightened far too securely. The screws won't budge. Any tips? Thanks for the vid. It's thorough and easy to follow.
HI- My friend has this machine and I'm asking for her. On later machines that use this type of display and toggle for selecting stitches, it either gives you the letter for the foot needed for each stitch in the display or it is included under the stitch selection shown on the front of the machine. This machine does not seem to have that. Do you need to refer to the manual each time you want to change the stitch for the required foot or is there somewhere else it is shown on the machine? Thanks.
This is fantastic stuff. I learned so much here with a real person demonstrating. Thank you so much. Immediately after I made this comment I tried to tread my machine I bought in December. The threader worked on the first try then when I tried to thread the needle again to be sure I could do it again, the threader came loose off the black long rod it was attached to. I tried to slide it back on but it would not hold. Can it be reattached and how to do it please? PLEASE HELP!!!
Richards Richards It sounds like you are going to need help from a technician. Are you able to call a Janome dealer near you? Not sure where you are located but our dealer locator is on our website.
Jessica Climer yes you can. Of course if you want to do a huge quilt like a king size quilt, it requires some skill and organization. But for most smaller quilting projects, it is just fine: 1/4 inch piecing, appliqué, walking foot quilting, free motion quilting, ruler quilting - you can do all of these wit the Janome C30.

At 3:10 the spool cap was put on backwards. Was that done inadvertently or for a reason?

My foot pedal stopped working and I cannot find a replacement. All the ones I've tried Can you sew without a foot pedal with this model?
Is janome m30a released before this c30? I would like to buy but not sure which is latest either m30a or c30?
They are very similar models. We don't carry the M30 in Canada only the C30. :)
Can you quilt with this machine?

Is janome c30 is advanced than m30 ?
Can you please tell which is good? Either c39 or m30? Which is latest? Thanks☺️
you don't show us where you touch the machine?
