There are a gazillion you tuber creators that ONLY review fragrances, and I’ve not seen one review this scent. It sounds about as on point as a fragrance could be for me. I’m 50+ and big on the Uber masculine classics. What a treat you’ve provided with this information. There are several scents that sound intriguing from this line like sandalwood and Spanish leather, so this could be “the start of a beautiful friendship.” ❤ the channel. Best of luck in the future.
Eucris is my personal king fragrance. Strong to the point of frightening, yet stylish and masculine. When I wear Eucris (which is often) it makes me feel bigger, stronger and more powerful. It should be illegal. but what a scent!!

Just received my first bottle (EDT) and WOW!!!!!! Instantly transported back to being a little kid and rummaging around my father’s closet and chest of drawers. To me it’s very reminiscent of original Polo but with much more depth and character. Not sure if it’s age appropriate for a 41 year old but then again, that’s a preconception I tend to have about some of the finer things I enjoy. Perfect for midnight Christmas mass💪

The hair cream - the first product in the Eucris range - was actually formulated as a unisex hair pomade in 1910, at the very close of the Edwardian Age, and evokes a decidedly Edwardian aesthetic. Who would have guessed it based on such a resolutely masculine scent? The cologne and men’s shaving products were launched from 1912 onwards. In keeping with true Edwardian form, “Eucris” actually takes its name from a female figure in Greek mythology, the homonymous Eucharis (Eύχαρις), one of the Nymphs, known for her lovely tresses, whose name means, “Full of Grace”. ADDENDUM: why “Eucris” then instead of “Eucharis”? It’s just a theory, but I suppose that phonetically, in the very clipped accents of the Antebellum British aristocracy, the proper Greek name (one that most of the public school, classically educated nobility would immediately recognize) tended to sound rather like “Eucris”. Yep, these are the sort of things I think about late at night...
Great information on Eucris ther and I certainly learned a lot about its origin story. I still love the fragrance and it works outstandingly well in the cooler months - its power and character really shines through in these bleak and dispiriting winter days. I still remember how I got free samples from Geo F Trumper directly from them maybe 10 years ago. No other brand I know does that! Very classical masculine scents.
Eucris is a firm favourite of mine, along with Pinaud Special Reserve. And it's coming up to the time of year to make use of them 😁 I need to seek out similar aromas, or at least ones that instil the same feel.
Its a great scent indeed - I'm also a very big fan of Trumper's Spanish Leather. It has a rich historic fragrance that I liken very much to Eucris in many ways.
All all time favorite fragrance and my signature scent. I prefer the EDT- works better with my skin chemistry. I wear it all seasons and all occasions. This is a great video!!
I have been a trumperite for many years the Curzon Street shop is two doors down from the Washington hotel will be giving this a try I will be trying the edt, not quite as powerful L have been informed that Sean Connery is seen using Eucris in the movie Diamonds are forever.
This stuff is good beast mode powerhouse punching juice. If I had to compare it to what's more commonly known definitely Dior Sauvage, Creed Aventus and Czech & Speaks 88. old school masculine only fragrance. Lasts all day and the drydown is beautiful too.
You have this fragrance well dialled-in. Its definitely not for the lily-livered. This a scent for men who don't mind standing out from the herd. I love it!!
very interesting and one I am interested in. Trumpers Sandalwood is a signature scent of mine, its a 7 - 10 hour performing cologne. A rich creamy Sandalwood and quite delightful.. I would reccomend.. Fine review sir
Just got a bottle after finding your hannel and it is one of my all time favourites. feels a bit odd wearing it a a 27 year old chap but i think it works. may i suggest my other favourite fragrance for you? it is L'occitan edt a lavender fragrance with lots of wood and black pepper and just a little hint of smoke.

I really love smokey fragrances, so I ordered myself a bottle of Eucris. I've had several other Trumper fragrances in the past and really enjoyed all of them, especially the Sandalwood and the Leather scents. But unfortunately, the Eucris doesn't seem to work with my chemistry at all... It's WONDERFUL the moment it's put on my skin, but literally fades away to absolutely nothing in about 35 minutes... And that's never been the case with anything but the cheapest drugstore aftershaves I've made the mistake of buying... For instance, real inexpensive ones like Old Spice or the like. You can't imagine how absolutely disappointed I am, I had such high hopes for Eucris. I guess I'll just have to keep searching for that perfect "campfire scent" that I've been looking for all this time. Hopefully, the Eucris lasts on other people's skin... I wonder if I just didn't happen to get a lousy bottle? Cheers Gang-
Sorry to hear that Eucris did not work for you. I have found it to be the most powerful fragrance in my collection. Did you have the EDT or the EDP? The EDP is the monster - I cannot speak for the EDT, as I have not tried it beyond a test in the store.
Try something from The House of Beaufort, who specialse in campfire scents like 'Cuer De Noir' and 'Tonnere' for instance. They have mastered the smoky, tobacco accords Well worth getting their 8 sample set.
Try wearing this in the middle of the night while watching Werner Herzog's "Nosferatu", and you may find yourself empathising with the lead character...
Yes, I get that Nosferatu vibe, but more the 1922 original by Murnau. There's an ancientness about this, this graveyard has been there for many centuries.
Considering I love to wear this and trumper's Spanish leather in winter months, what do you prefer in the warmer months? I find so many smell too sweet to me. Also, I'm 37 and guys my age call me old man, but women compliment it all the time. But I do use the toilette version. Thanks
I have a very varied palette when it comes to fragrances and I usually gravitate towards citrus hued scents in the warmer months - I really like Dunhill Edition as my go-to summer fragrance, although there are many that I cycle through, including: Puig's, Agua Brava, 4711, Tabac and even Quoram Aqua. All good stuff ( and cheap)
Is it possible since you know quite alot of cologne and perfume brands to give a personal favorite list divided by seasons from spring to winter. It would be much appreciated. I am just starting to use colognes and a bit erring when to use them.

Eucris is a STUD scent, as are all Trumper fragrances. Eucris makes a mockery of all the pretty boy scented waters from the designer crowd. Get yourself a bottle and find out why Trumper fans smell better than all the fragrance snobs out there.

May I ask? ... I once ordered a spray Geo f trumper eucris edt and it was a beautiful delicate scent and then I received as a gift Geo f trumper eucris edp and it is so strong and it does not smell at all ... It's is it possible that edt is weaker by enough? ... Although I was watching that the composition is the same for edt and edp .. Thank you for your feedback  Zpětná vazba

As soon as I sniffed this bitter chypre it immediately made me think of Robert Piguet's "Bandit". Not a trace of sweetness, bitter and dark.
I described it as ‘Frightening’ with good reason.
Nice review, talking of undertones I would say there is an undertone of Welsh in you accent.

Actually it's only mentioned in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and it's the villain Darco who uses it, not Bond.

Have you tried the brand DECO London Eau de Parfum?There are 3 as far as I know all the same price and size as Eucris.

The EDP is much more dense and powerful - some would say much more intimidating in nature.

@@wirralchap the EDP is brutal, masculine and classical. I only wear it when I need a huge personal confidence boost. It is a very special fragrance.
The shaving puck has still awful lathering properties, tube cream and tub are fabulous. Deodorant stick and splash also available.
I'm a cream-tub sort of guy - outstanding performance with Trumper I find.

Indeed. The EDP is much stronger and longer lasting. The EDT is perfectly good for daily use - the EDP is just more dominating as a fragrance.

Hi, the EDT is much weaker and is often a more preferable scent for many. I like the raw brutality of the Eucris EDP
