At 8:08, on the KEF, you actually hear the Synth's modulations, while on the Edifier, we only hear a single note. The KEF is much more refined, it's no contest.
@@DougMen1 But then where can you find an egg shaped sub??? Jokes aside, of course speakers this size can't produce decent bass, they're desktop speakers for people with money that don't want black cubes near their designer lamp.
The song "Seasons" at 9:15 clearly shows what the instrument separation is all about and how hard it is to reproduces complex music with hell lot things being played together. Hats off KEF and better luck next time Edifier.
They are very different. I really wish these were done at half volume. computer speakers are NEVER designed to operate at full volume... the cabinets are never strong enough or big enough.
The problem is that Edifier speakers are not equal This is against the 1st rule of stereo The two channels must be identical One contains all the electronics the other is passive I would love to listen to passive units with a better Amp Or two actives driven by a great line preamp I m tempted to buy 2 pairs and try for myself I love the way they look
They're totally different, one if "LEFT" and the other is "RIGHT"... Why can't they just sell you two "RIGHT" speakers, or at the very least two "LEFT" speakers
@@pretol1 That was exactly my point my rule is to treat the L and R signal in the same way So the speakers must be identical like it happens with many powered speakers There is no difference
@@gino3286 Uhm, I hope you haven't discovered that one boob is slightly smaller than the other, and one nutsack hangs a little lower than the other... Cause "they MUST be identical" is in a category of a psychological imbalance.
In this market segment, give me the cheapest, clearest, bassiest, widest and biggest sounding speaker. Screw neutrality and hi fidelity. My fidelity rules here. Edifiers are great for things like that, I own the R1855DB and S3000Pro, great little buggers. Another great option is Swans Hivi, unbeatable for price to performance ratio, but that is already straying into hi fidelity territory. Kefs were sh!tt!n in their pants during Punkd... 🤣🤣🤣
I listened to the SB3000pro's sound demo, I think it was on Z reviews. Seriously good and nice tech, being wireless. Same price as the R200's over here though.
@@34332 its the DSP and active crossover working its magic in there bruh... and that bugger can go LOUD, louder than my 12.2s and R200. This is also why people prefer the Wireless 2 over the Metas, because all the help from the dsp socery makrs a huge difference. Imagine a 12.4 with dsp and actice crossover... hahahahahahaahahahahha
@@DougMen1 another 1200 for tonnes of power for the bass (this thing goes LOW for its size), a shitload of connections and features plus dsp and digital crossover. Some would say its a steal. The only thing I can see the WII falls short off is max volume capability. It would be an end game speaker for those that never crosses 90db. And when added with a sub, it would play higher with no distortion at all. A bargain for some. Metas for those who like to tinkle, WII for those that want perfection in a box.

I think at 8:08 you are hearing the kef cuffing... not synth modulation.

The Edifiers are amazing. I have two sets. Great imaging and tight base. They have enough ooomph to even do TV work. For the price not much out there.
in the category of KEF insightful "hard egg", Edifier, calm, easy to listen, "soft egg" :)

The Kanto Yu-4s kick both of these speakers arses. Come to think of it the Klipschs do also.
Edifier E25HD is warmer. Egg is brighter.
I prefer the warmer sound and can listen to it for longer time.
Are these the KEF egg duos or the older ones
KEF is a big British speaker brand. Yet Edifier here, a Chinese brand, sounds much better.
Klipsch RP-600M vs Jamo C93 ii? Thank you, good sir!
He doesn't yet have the 93, only the 91. But, the 93 is $300 and the RP600 is $700. It would be fairer to compare the Jamo to a $300 Klipsch
I prefer the tonal balance of the Edifiers much better overall. It's full sounding, dynamic, detailed and at least half the price vs the Eggs.

Luna Eclipse better!:)
Edifier > KEF
Can't tell the difference.both are great.both are made in china.😁

@@DougMen1 totally understandable. 2800 is a huge chunk of money for most people including myself.
Completely opposite sounding, and equally mediocre. 👌
