26:00 big tip here, I stick with odyssey forks because they have a full 180mm steer tube, most other forks are in the ~165mm range, so if you want to ride a tall setup, go Odyssey.

My BIGGEST regret thus far. I should have waited for your three recommendations in my inbox. Bought a kink gap 20.5 and a day later got your recommendations. You had me on a 21 because of my weight and size. Meh, brushed it off. Got my bike, felt great on flat ground, then I got it in the air. Second jump three broken ribs and pulled muscles galore. Super twitchy in the air and it cost me. Rebuilding the bike at 21 while I heal up for the next 4 weeks. Brand new rider and I should have listened. At 34, the ground hurts much worse than I remember at 22

Im using an Odyssey R serie fork, which has a long steerer tube length. I had to cut it out around 12 mm. to make my life easier. Thanks for many good bmx contents that you do. Have a great day.😃

Also with bb height, if its high enough you can do switch crooks with a 28t sprocket. While if your bb height is low your sprocket could hit the rail.

Back in 07 I built a standard 250s, 21 inch, 74.5 head tube. Fl stem and 8” bars, I ran odyssey r32 forks with 14mm dropouts and a profile 3/8 female front hub with no adapters. No bike ever felt as good as that one did. Do you think the 3/8 axle in a 14mm fork drop out could have made it steeper like a 28 offset or vice versa? Been wondering and occasionally thinking about this for about 15 years. 😶
