- There is a new proposal in San Francisco to tackle those open-air drug markets in the Tenderloin. Some retail stores could soon have a curfew. abc7ne.ws/49SpO8j

How about you arrest people doing illegal activity instead of punishing businesses
My thoughts exactly!
In addition to that, this is an election year and the mayor needs to look like she is doing "something". I don't think she will be getting many votes from the addicts but perhaps she will lose a few from the shop owners that she is punishing. Does she thing that residents of SF are completely blind and ignorant? Perhaps it is true because the same incompetent people keep voting these demented people back into office. She should take up residence in the Tenderloin and have to walk to work without security. Things WOULD change then.
That costs $. SF will never help TL bizzness. I've lived here since 92. Sadly the Tenderloin is a " drug interzone ".
no you idiot. only businesses can be reponsible for personal dections of individuals. pls go back to your marxist 101 readings.

San Francisco has resorted to towing the cars of suspected drug dealers and people who are selling stolen goods as part of its latest effort to crack down on crime in the troubled Tenderloin neighborhood, according to Mayor London Breed's office.
The city has made thousands of arrests for drug dealing and use in the Tenderloin and SoMa neighborhoods since late May last year, when the multiagency crackdown began, with officers chasing dealers through the neighborhood's streets. Tenderloin residents and business owners have reported improvements during the day. Still, illegal behavior has persisted at night on certain blocks, leaving some to search for more creative solutions.
why not put a curfew on the drug addict's not on the businesses
When the elaborate APEC summit involving Biden (a democrat) was about to happen, the homeless problem was a breeze to fix in just a few days. Then when cnn, msnbc, etc wrapped, it reverted to 💩
Legal businesses shouldn’t be unduly burdened due to both their city and state’s failures to provide a safe environment in which to operate. Doing so should also limit the business’s liability to pay full property taxes, utilities and insurance premiums since they would be bound by communistic regulations!
California used to be so beautiful and welcoming. Now it’s self-enveloped in a veritable cancer hemorrhaging businesses and residents unless they get special, ARMED security like Clorox and BlueShield in Oakland. Good guys with guns WORK!!
Because they're trying to destroy the city and crash the property values, not fix it.
They have rights, don't u know. As phet addict tourists, they supply an enormous amount of $ to SF. Think if possible.
@@nixnox3756 True. Where do you think Ashley and Hunter get their supply from??
Why not send the police between 12am and 5am to arrest them?
Because.....Commifornia
They want the crime......it makes an excuse to control citizens
I am sure that Tenderloin drug dealers will stop dealing drugs at night thanks to a new SF curfew law.
No, didn't you hear, tax paying business owners have to stop selling their goods or be arrested, the drug dealers are fine.
isn't the idea all the regular people go inside and stay safe and don't come out until the morning?
Loitering is already a crime, so why not enforce the laws already in place. Now businesses can't make money because of criminals?!
The neighborhood isn't that big. It shouldn't be that hard to crackdown on the loitering and open air drug markets.
Worst mayor 2nd to Newsom
Stupid idea
SF's mayor is dvmb asF! 😮
What about the curfew for those people camping on the sidewalk
Liquor stores, smoke shops close by 5pm and start phasing them out of the neighborhood.
Restaurants, bars close by 9pm. Short-term.
Repair light fixtures, patrol and clean (power wash) streets.
Have shelter beds, housing resources ready to provide to people in need.
SF Mayor made it clear to have SF known as drug city. I am really sick of smelling marijuana. I don’t care you blow your marijuana but blow the thing in a close space not out in the open when others can smell it. This smell makes me SICK. Be respectful to others just do your thing in a place with close windows and doors since you love so much. You could blow and smell that ungly smell from marijuana!
esp in the sfmta
It's gotten to the point where you try anything that sounds reasonable in an orderly fair way.
Small businesses need to sue.
Finally a genius idea from mayor London Breed. Once implemented the drug problem will disappear like the darkness when the sunrises.
She specifically said it wasn't her idea.
San Francisco is Idiocracy come to life, just amazingly tragic and hilarious.
Why not make drug dealing a felony? OH WAIT IT IS!
What a joke. She can not do anything or provide any safety.
I'm so black pilled at this point. There is no hope out there
Give it a try and see what happen. It might work. Those guys who open grocery stores 24/7 in the heart of druggies hangout know exactly what they are doing.
The answer Recall London
Omg😅😅😅😅 Londumb is so damn goofy
Yuck. Stay away from SF.
It’s not about the snacks and tobacco products. Let’s be real. It’s the liquor store smack dab in the middle of that square. I’m not sure if there’s more than one but the one that I have been to is incredibly dangerous at night and it’s the only thing open in the area after 10 o’clock so tourists often end up there trying to get water and what not for their hotel rooms. We have the same issue in my neighborhood in Oakland. There are about a dozen liquor stores surrounding our neighborhood. Each corner has a couple and there’s one up every other block. Only a couple of them don’t have large groups of scumbags hanging out and harassing people who drive or walk by. If they got rid of the liquor stores, our neighborhood would be a lot better in several ways.
hmm i think at this point they should just have no cars going thru
We’ve a store in Tenderloin which has casino inside and l feel bad for this homeless people who go there to bet their money and end up losing it. Mayor close that small casino which’s ruining our kid’s.
What about those who’re stealing our stores and go sell on 7th and market 16th and 24th of mission? Pathetic!
that place is bad
David Blood is an amazing guitar player.
polices do know where the drugs dealers are and not much is done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its all a shit show!
Definitely a big sh*t show!! The mayor and the city/county supervisors are the cherry and the sprinkles on that large steaming pile.
They will just go to different neighborhood. This is a dumb idea. Maybe just arrested people for selling and doing drugs in public. Not that difficult
how about you don't use a store in a shitty hood for what you need at night place is bad already
The area is called Tenderloin because the city used to pay the cops extra money to protect the area. The cops were paid well enough to afford tenderloin for supper every night.
The *criminals* used to pay the cops extra money to *look the other way* in the area.
That’s why the area is the way it is now
@@TheKittyHenry95 lulz ... must be a national pattern with nationwide bribes ... or the pattern could be interpreted differently but TH-cam would label that interpretation to be no no words
Y’all voted for this 😂
this is a great idea , thanks Mayor Breed , Newsom , keep on voting blue ,
7:55PM ❤ 5:10
7:51PM ❤ 0:00
❤
Democrat Utopia…. Don’t worry Pandas and Soccer field will save SF!
Anything but taxing the rich.
Yeah.. That will work😅
You want to tax the Newsomes and Pelosis? Great!! Be sure to tax their friends too.
Gimme a break. That will do nothing. There are many more practical steps to stop crime.
if you need to eat that late, im sure most people have a fridge
~ THATS ABSOLUTLY INSANE ~ ... this is how they make their Money ( Store Open -Store closed ) they still gonna be Right there slinging Dope.
