That is some strength to talk about this with PTSD. Strong man.

He hasn't had PTSD, read the wikipedia article about him

@@reinterpret_cast it’s entirely up to him if he wants his medical diagnosis’s put up for all to know. Anyone who prints or outs that kind of sensitive info out could be prosecuted. So we will not know. But after 4 deployments, one being this one in which he received the Medal of Honor. I’m sure he is affected by this experience. I fought in Iraq, I was wounded, I saw friends get killed. I am affected. So I understand. However, this particular battle is something I have not been through. Maybe 20-30 min fire fights every now and then. Iraq and Afghanistan are completely different ideologies, terrain, language. Truly a completely different war.

You can see the PTSD in his eyes.

Clinton L. Romesha's book, 'Red Platoon - 12 Hours in Hell', gives an incredible account of the battle and the men who fought in it.

Highly recommend his book about the battle, Red Platoon. It's like
a combination of The Alamo and Saving Pvt Ryan.

I can feel the shitty feeling he’s got in this video, trying to get thru this story another time. You cant really explain combat to someone. The feelings, the smells, the sounds...without reliving a bit of it. Sometimes you love it, sometimes you fucking hate it. Heres to you, Clint. Scouts Out!

I deployed and never participated in a firefight. I can tell you that my PTSD is about "what would you do if?" I am thankful I never had to answer that question. Service Members (SM's) already know what I mean. That is training, though. They call it hyper-vigilance sometimes. It is not quite that.
We service member folk know what I am talking about. We are comfortable people for to converse with among ourselves. I signed on the line and because of that there is a certain amount of credibility. Service Members respect each other as a community. The branch jokes are fun and all. When a joint mission happens, we are one team and one fight. It's different flavors of criticizing bureaucracy, leadership and more. We all agreed to "obey the lawful orders of..." or "faithfully execute the duties of...".
Some never deployed, some never were attacked, some never returned fire and so on. There might some versions of bragging rights. Military service is about team work more than anything.
I would love to be asked questions by and tell stories to civilians.
