sozz i just like guessing ...with a small dose of knowledge of history and exp
Always a great video from you and your dad. A lot of nice finds today. You and your dad have a good Saturday and Weekend. Peace Ms. Mudpie and Mr. Mudpie.
Thanks Robert and the same to you x
You both bring the good vibes and fun times, it's always enjoyable to watch your vids. 😻
Thanks 😃❤️
Love the digs just as much as your mudlarking...Thanks for another great video
Our pleasure! We were out in the mud today and will be back out again next Sunday. Have a great weekend 😊 x
It’s always nice to wake up and see your smiling faces! 😃
Aaah thanks ❤️
That large bottle would make an awesome table lamp.
Yes that's a great idea 👍😃x
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo your leaving the massive bot behind shorely add expoxy to smooth out the top.
That's my fault (Andy here) Josie really wanted to bring it back! ❤️
SPANK the Daddy!@@Mudpies
Excellent finds today. I love that blue ink from the beginning. If you have a belt sander you can grind the top of a bottle like the wine grower one flat. They make great coin banks.
Hello Debie, I was a bit unsure about cutting it due to it's unusual shape but kind of regretting now not bringing it back and trying. 👍❤️
@@Mudpies next time ❤️
That green bottle broken at the top would make a lovely bud vase!
Super episode with fabulous finds!!! Love that you have made a book with pics of your mud lark adventures 💙!😮😊 Thank you all very much for making and sharing this lovely video!
Cheers Lisa pleased you enjoyed it 😊 x
Omg! The to the king bottle was absolutely epic!!!!! Still watching. . .
We should of brought it back....😀
the large green fat flat bottle with the snagged top would have looked great with a trimmed top and filled with clear resin as a paperweight-lovely
Hello Susan, so true, reading all the comments about it really make me wish we'd brought it back home with us for crafting. Take care 😀 x
Thank you, I love it when you post new videos. Fantastic people, hope I have times like this with my family
Thank you for your kindness 😊 x
❤😂❤ LOL...megaladonic hydroponic!!! Epic blue ink!!! ❤😊❤
🤣 she certainly has a way with words! Thanks as always 😃 x
Yeah! Back in the mud soon. Got a few fairy bottles again and the perfume one. Merry early Christmas to me 🎄
Hope all is well from the storm.
Thanks so much Annie for your kind support. Back from the mud today, drying out gradually! 😊❤
I loved the blue items the most, but my favourite item was the meat juice bot. That was really unusual and it's a pretty colour. As soon as you began showing the Christmas items for your Etsy store, I paused the video to buy your photo book. That is such an excellent idea, and I'm not surprised you discovered it Josie. You're such and amazingly talented person.
This really was a delightful video, and it looked rather sweaty whilst digging in the winter gear. You two never stopped smiling during the entire dig, that's another reason why I find your videos to be so refreshing.
Thank you so much, Mudpies, you truly are legends!
Oi oi James! Interestingly we discovered that the Valentine meat juice pot originated in Richmond Virginia! Hope you enjoy the zine. Take care ❤️
Hey hey lovelies! Some classic laugh out loud moments, this week.😂 great finds and the shop is looking beast. 🎉🎉🎉
Cheers Karen, it's been a lot of work from all Mudpies but well worth it. Your current painting looks awesome 👌😀❤️
@@Mudpies well done guys. And thank you 🤗✌️💃
Another good one you two. Belters all around. Donna MIchigan
Thanks Donna 😄 x
Josie your book is a gem ,hauntingly perfect , that says it all ,thank you they arrived today.
Ahhh that’s so lovely to hear!! Thank you legend 🧡
If so glad I seen all the great things you have found and made for sale.
Thanks Robin x
What a belter of a dig ! So many keepers and a blue ink 🤩Love the cobalt bottle and the bumpy lung destroyer 😁AND, the Christmas launch is amazing, got into a bit of trouble there, an ink which I snatched form peoples carts " sorry " Josie's book of pics and of course a blue snood 😍 Looking forward to the next mudventure and my favorite duo squelching for treasure !! Oioi Hugs 🥰🥰 xx
Great finds! I love the inks, especially the blue, but all those bottles are beautiful. I think your bone ring might be whats left from a Dorset button. They were made from yarn wrapped and woven around bone rings for coat buttons. They are making a comeback in the crafting world. Looking forward to the next muddy hunt. 😁
Thank you, that's an interesting insight. It is button sized as it just fits on my finger like a ring. Take care 😊
Did some great Christmas shopping. Thanks for making it easier for me. Love your videos.
Thanks so much Bonnie 🥰x
@@Mudpiesreceived the box. Everything was perfect. I am so proud of bottles. And for you surviving the cold, rain, & mud to save them. I know that I can never get to England to try this for myself, so I do it vicariously through you. It really means a lot. Thanks again. Will order again.
Brilliant video, loved all the finds, but the inks were the best for me, looked a good day out,, have a good week
Thanks Kim, it was literally raining inks wasn't it ! Take care ❤️
Brilliant I'm just in the mood for mudstompin
Oioiii let’s get muddy
Great finds. Regarding the cod liver oil bottle, as a child my English mum insisted/forced me to swallow a spoonful of cod liver oil every morning. Yuck! Her reasoning...the only way to have a good life was to keep a clean mind and your bowels open 😊 She was born in 1914 and, apparently, it was normal. It was simply nasty!! When Geritol was available she moved on to it instead.
Good grief Debra, that sounds absolutely disgusting 🤮 at the same time your mum sounds like quite a legend! Take care ❤️
My parents used to force my little sister to drink it too. 🤮
@@Delightfully_Different yikes! Very healthy though 👌
What a fun bunch of finds! I really enjoy the tip larks! Digging up treasures looks like hard work, but you sure find lots of history too. Thanks for sharing🥰🥰🥰
Thanks Kimberly 😄 x
Loved the video, I think some people don't realise how hard the digging is, so well done. Fantastic finds, I love the blue ink , also the cod liver oil bottles full of bubbles. ❤
Thanks so much 👍
Would love to order from your Etsy store, but I can't afford the shipping. Love to watch you two. Funny and informative with beautiful creations. It's hard to pay $25. for shipping on a $14. bottle. I'll survive. Just keep up the good work.
So sorry we know it's expensive, just pleased you're enjoying the channel. Take care 😀 x
Dear old dad only let's you film when on dry land , since the fall !!! great finds love you guys will check out your store on the way out . peace
🤣 thanks so much! x
Woah, what a haul 👌😊 loved all the treasures ❤ but my favourite was the blue ink too. Thank you for taking us along with you Josie and Andy 👊😁
Thanks Deb ❤️
Always love a good belter! Squelch on!
Squelch it!!!! ❤️
Ink day! Lovely finds. Can't wait to getback in the mud!❤
Thanks Angela, back from a morning in the mud today! 🙂x
The blue octagonal is fab!
Yes, we're stoked with it! Need to find a green one next, take care ❤️
The blue poison is beautiful, but this time I'm going to go with the little brown juice bottle, and the brown stoneware -- the glaze on that looked great.
Interesting fact ...the meat juice bottle was originally created by Ballantyne's as a cure for his poorly wife ! Take care ❤️ x
@@Mudpies It's kind of shocking how people would just cook up "cures" without any real training or knowledge in the field ... Thanks for the history, and the vicarious ability to join you on your digs without getting dirty, or sunburnt, or bug bitten. I hate bugs.
@@dsolosan our pleasure 😀👍
The various glass colours are magnificent. Job well done.
They do look lovely altogether 😍
I have treated my self to Josie’s book and a cute bottle. Can’t wait!🙏🙏🙏😆👍 thanks mudpies 😛🤗
Thank you sooo much Moira! We have parcelled up your beauties x
Can’t wait- thanks!🙌🙌🙌😁
Awesome dig with some belter finds. Take care and thanks for sharing 👏🙏❤️
Cheers Chris 😀❤️
Oh I love those woodpeckers! I love it when mudlarks show the wildlife they come across, I always wonder what kinds of wildlife you guys run into.
Dang I wish I'd got one of those excellent heather ochre beanies! I could never quite swing the shipping, def would have been my favo hat. Your logo is perfect, I'll get a snood if I can.
I always love your vids. You both have so much fun and such a wonderful relationship.
❤️ thanks x
Great finds guy's! Cant wait for your next video.
😃 cheers! x
The Cannington Shaw bottle factory still exists in St Helens. It is derelict but great to see where some of my own finds came from. I went exploring there last year. Next to Tesco car park. Along way from you guys though x
Thanks for the info on the factory, I'm assuming it's an urbex now? Take care 🙂x
The blue bottle is probably a plain Granular Citrate of Magnesia ....blue inks are lovely to find...
I really like the cream pot. All the bottles are amazing. The spiked bottle you mentioned at the end was interesting.
Did you know ibuprofen is a derivative of tar? Hmmm
Those snoods and your book Josie are on my personal Christmas list.
I hope to see you in the mud next week. Bye for now.
Thanks so much for your support. That's really surprising about ibuprofen, I really had no idea! Take care 💓 x
The blue inkpot is fabulous and I love the brown glacéd stonework too, all looks stunning clean and bright👍. The fat green bottle you don‘t take😩 what a writing. I know you can‘t take all. Great Video. Thank you.👍
Thanks Gabriel, you're spot on! Our house sometimes has an appearance of being a cross between a museum and a hoarders paradise 🤣 Pleased you enjoyed the video, take care 😀 X
@@Mudpies ❤️❤️❤️
Nice dig Mudpies!❤
Thanks 👍🙂
Fantastic fun video. I love your sense of humour, I’m smiling through the entire video. This year I’m skint but would have loved to have bought some of your beautiful items. Next year after I win the lottery🤞🏼. Thank you so much, cheers.
Hello there, thanks for your lovely comment. Please don't worry about making a purchase ! Take care and have a fab weekend 💕
nice to see a father daughter team the round bottel you found would make a great rose bud vase , cut it down a little for a succulent vase
" Megalodonic Hydroponic " is now my phrase of the week, and will be considered for entry into ' Josies Mudpie Dictionary of Squelch slang'
🤣🤣she does come up with some inventive words! Squelch on legend 💪😃
Aww man!!! I think I missed the perfume bottle! Oh well, I know there will be more. Cheers!
Sorry, we're sure to dig up some more. Take care ❤️
Got the blue boy though! Thanks as always again! 🍃🍂
Great video!! Awesome finds. Love the blue bottle and ink. Looking forward to the mud.
Hello Barbara, we were out there today, the storms revealed a few beauties from our local muddy spot. ❤️

Good morning mudpies nice video al lot off digging this time. lucky it pays out at the end. beautiful inks my youngest daughter loves the big bluey. see you next time greetings Pieter and kids
Hello there Pieter and little Pieter's! We did shift a lot of earth 💪 no need for the gym that weekend. Take care 😀
Charles Perez,Cleveland Mudpies Bureau chief, reporting for duty.
Actually,my favorite is the meat juice bottle.
Possibly one of the worst product names ever, just behind Dad’s sauce, and,um,well a sauce bottle that has more than 2 of the letter K!
Also,I am SUPER exited to recieve the photo ‘zine!!!
I am obsessed with getting my hands on any and all find-related publications, and this will be a fine addition, and hope there will be future issues.
Hello Charles, the meat juice is pretty spectacular ! The zine photos have turned out so well + the printing is top notch. See you for a muddy adventure next week, take care legend 😀x
The round door thing looks like the holder of a doorbell!
Nice finds! Great store! took a peek…wow nice! Greetings from California USA….stay safe! 🎈
Thanks 🙏😀❤️
@@Mudpies thank you for your reply…the best to you … hopefully you will reach 20 thousand soon 🎈
Megladonic hydroponic might be my new favorite saying!😂
It does kinda roll off the tongue😀❤️
I dig cisterns and privies here in Kentucky for bottles. They can be 8 feet deep. My advice is short handled shovels are not for serious digging. You need a spud bar and a long handled shovel. To anyone digging a pit like this, be careful not to tunnel under the wall very much. A big enough lump of dirt overhang falling on you can compress your chest enough to stop your breathing. I like the creek walking better but these are cool too. Maybe try to find an unopened dump. It looks like someone already got the good stuff
Thanks, Fair point about the longer shovel. One day we'll purchase one, they're just a bit more tricky to carry in. Take care ❤️👍
Some Belters there!..thanks..beautiful souls that you are :)
Great finds today hard to pick a favorite
Yay! Thank you!
What a great vlog definitely the hole that keeps giving
Thanks, it eeps us returning wondering what else is hidden in the ground! Take care ❤️ x

Good choice 😃❤️
So many belters! All those inks are beautiful and I see some of my favourite stoneware! Oi..oi from Sally and the fur crew in Oz! ❤😊
You two make me so happy!😊❤🇺🇸
💓
Hi guys great dig are you digging to the bottom? Try and dig wide say 4 mts an get a face going an get some fresh tip watch out for cave ins the soil will start to talk to you with little cracks appearing and a trickle of soil then the whole collapses without warning.Craig From Australia.
Every video is a charm. You are both so adorable, I’m always thrilled when you put out a new video. Cant wait until the next ❤️
You are so kind😃❤️
Oy!! Love the big bottle bottom. I would have bought that!! 😢 Looking for a Scott bottle too. Love the videos. Thanks guys❤
Hello Deborah, funnily enough we've got a Scotts emulsion bottle up for sale. Pleased you enjoyed the video 😁 x

I'm delayed on watching this! Love this so much. Favourite channel at the moment :)
You’re such a legend Sean! Thank you 🫶
Thanks fellow legend!@@Mudpies
Some great finds there you pies. It's amazing how far you had to dig down to get to the good stuff. The ink special !!! I remember reading once that sheared lip bottles had a ball of oiled hemp that dug into the sharp top to seal it Like the fab Christmas gear. All the best with it. Looking forward to the mud !!!
Thanks 👍
I really wanted it all.....I did get a couple of items and am thinking about one more!!
Thanks Catherine you're a legend! ❤️💪
Fantastic finds! I love the blue ink! I am curious given the age of the finds have you ever looked up what kinds of diseases or heal ailments were prevalent in that time period? With so many products for the lungs and..digestion it makes you wonder huh? Yuk could not imagine taking all that cod liver oil! lol I wonder about the bone brushes if they could be cut down to make barrettes or something? Love the curved brush a very unique design indeed!
You've hit 20K subscribers! Hooray, Legends! Love and hugs from me in New Mexico USA.
Yay! So stoked, Thank you😍
Love your videos! Your Cheerfulness while working so hard. The snoods are such a great idea and can keep you from getting chilled out of doors. On to TH-cam, Under the Plains. A rather handsome young man out on Yankton, South Dakota digs up wonderful glass, pottery items from old privies😊❤.
Thank you so much! Under the plains is a great channel 🙂❤️
Great job! That digging is a lot of work!!
Thanks ❤️
Lovely finds! I enjoy all your video's no matter where you are 😀💖x
Thanks so much 😊
A fine body of finds, as usual. I especially like the meat juice bottle.
Please be careful you two! Seeing you go down into those deep over-hangs always makes me nervous!
Would'nt want anyting bad to happen to the pair of you. To be buried neath the sands of Arrakis would be quite unpleasant!😉
LONG LIVE HOUSE MUDPIES!
I did my shopping first and found more than a few lovelies including the findzine! Can't wait to hold them in my hands! Now going to watch the video! Be well from washington state USA ❤️
Thanks so much Adrianne, Josie and Moma mudpie are literally packaging up your parcel right now. Thanks once again ❤️x
Loved the finds you had. I enjoy your videos no matter where you go. Just got my cheeky little Xmas order in for myself 😁 thanks guys.
What a fantastic dig! The bottles just seemed to jump out at you, although I'm sure you both knew they came with a lot of very hard work! Congratulations! They were beautiful! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤
Thanks Mary 😀 those bottles certainly made us sweat! Take care 😀❤️
You two always have such great finds. I really enjoy the show, and hope to get to the UK some day. 😊
Thanks Laurel! ❤️
I have been having 1 tablespoon of cod liver oil mixed with the juice 1/4 of and orange or lemon or lime ,,good for you 😎
You are a strong person! Does it not taste awful? Take care 😀 x
Fun video. Nice finds.
Thanks 👍
That was a cracking dump site, so many beautiful bottles. Always love an inky but for me the little meat juice bottle really ticks the box for me. Looking forward to seeing you both back in the mud. Let life be a lark. Cheers Dazza in Melbourne. 👍👍
Absolutely Dazza ❤️
Oh, my God, I want that big green bottle you didn't take! I have a flat lapidary machine and could grind the top to a lovely finished edge. Maybe you can find a friend near you who could do that for you. Just imagine it filled with roses or peonies! If you would consider grabbing it for me and sending it to the US, please let me know how much that would be.
Hello Jody, next time we're at the tip we'll see if it's still there and will let you know. Take care 😀 x
That would be awesome, thanks!@@Mudpies
Thanks for another spectacular lark int the dimp. I really like the ink bottles. Say hello to Mama Mudpie. Still here in North Carolina U.S.A.
You can probably tell we love the inks too. Thanks for your support ❤️🙂🙏
Wonderful video and finds, thanks so much!
Glad you enjoyed!
Now look who's back from the retirement pastures! 😁😁😁 ;-)
Hello there!!!!!❤
My favorite find is that wonderful BURGOYNE bottle that didn't make it home with you! I think the opening could have been carefully smoothed like the finished cut-down bottles are. It would be make a eye catching display piece. 😢
Hello Suzanne, maybe it will still be there when we go back? Quite a few people have commented about how it stood out. Take care 😀 ❤️
I live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. I have the Vapo-Cresolene liquid and burner in its original box. I can attest it sure doesn't smell good. It was labeled as a germ destroying liquid to be vaporized. Used for many bronchial symptoms as well as for complications of measles, scarlet fever and diptheria. Could also be used on animals as well. Patented in France in 1884 and Germany in 1899. Also in England in 1888 and 1897 and Canada in 1893. Mine is from New York, NY. Price on box is $1.75. Sorry so long. Peace and love from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.❤
Thanks so much for sharing this information on the Vapo-cresolene Alena! I can imagine it smells something like a poorer version of coal tar soap?! Take care ❤️😀
@@MudpiesIt sure does smell like coal tar! Have fun and take care.
As usual, Great finds
Thanks 🙏❤️
As always love the dig!
Dig ittttttt
Amazing finds! Awesome video!
Glad you like them!😀❤️
Love the big blue bottle and the hex blue ink. You should have started at the top instead of digging deep. Lovely finds all round. Did muma mudpie like the tiny bottle?
Yes you're right,we kind of realized this part way through the dig! Moma mudpie loved the teeny tiny bott. Take care ❤️
Wahey!😊
Hello there 😀👍
