I’m so intrigued by this build - specifically, what the visibility will be like for the driver between the seating position, length of that hood and the height of the rig 👀
Hey Matt & Josh, "great looking rig you two are building there". Matt you always come-up with an engineering marvel of ideas! "Wack the back end of a Toyota frame & Metal Glue (MIG) it to the rear of a Dodge frame"- WOW!!!
As the saying goes..."Three left turns make a right turn". Your build still may turn out to be a Cinderella in the making. Glad you guys are charging ahead full steam. Thanks for sharing.
Josh, have you been told you look a lot like Kerry Earnhardt. Keep up all the great work trying to educate us on thinking outside of the box when fabricating something unique. Please be safe in your adventures in and out of the shop.
If you guys pull something together that looks awesome, runs, and drives through the different terrain challenges without breaking down, you guys already are winners because the way you guys are doing this is the most difficult than the other teams. Good luck, guys! By the way, you guys and your build remind me of the Mad Max world!
I'm sure someone has mentioned it or maybe they did. But I'd be boxing in the frame if I was them. It would really help stiffen up the frame for the rear 4 link.
You would fit in with with the people in crawfordville florida. Every Type of vehicle you could think of is jacked up With a 4×4 . I've seen a Mercedes with a 4 / 4 kit I've seen B.M w, I've even seen a 1970 Volkswagen beetle jacked up.
I built a 72 jag 4x4 back in the 90's. Used a 78 blazer chassis. Good luck guys I like where your going with the build... but lose the white paint lol.
He's right! Take them back! The new ones are much better. They actually have real full welds not boogers like originals 😆 I always use 2 sets of jackstands now
It looks to my eye, thru your camera, that the exocage from the Toyota will almost fit the Jag body from a to b. Just noticed that as you were showing what you'd have to cut. I mighta cut in front of the xmember and behind the other mounts. The whole chunk would've come out easier, I think. Kinda wish I was there to help. I once had a 72 Challenger on the same frame.
Why not weld rear doors shut shave handles and move the wheel wells forward 10 or 15” for a more ideal wheelbase. Sounds like it’s getting a flat bed anyways…………… love the build can’t wait to see this thing tear the trails up
believe me we thought about it but the whole point from the beginning was to have a 4 door rig with the capability of carrying 3-4 people along with gear.
Check checking in...I know you know but, the Toyota rear end has the same gears as the Dodge front end? This one is getting interesting...that is a long wheelbase for a "rock crawler" but I'm trusting you with the outcome. So nice to have a garage with the height and a lift.
The first thing I said when I saw this car was it’s like a long boat. I remember someone I knew having one and it had lots of room for activities. Lol. Like hauling a bunch of teenagers around.
At this point, I'm certain that point was a few videos back! Also you don't need to grind everything so clean to weld, because if you have enough heat it has to be purified!
If you ever need a 1 ton rear end we get them here at greens recycling every other time mostly ford's but we get chevy dodge sometimes just to let you know just incase have a great day God bless
Well I tried to vote for you guys again like I do every week and well it keeps asking me to sign up for the elite and won't let me vote. Stupid interweb
Ya so there was a change in the voting process because of some bots or something and now you have to be a paid member to vote. Sorry about that. i'm gonna have to figure out how to explain all that in a future video.
@bleepinjeep I believe that about the bots. Huge difference in votes for some people. I have onx hunt... apparently, that's not good enough. It should be all onx users, not just the off-road. Stupid interweb robots 🤖 build is looking sweet! Can't wait to see it all finished and wheeling
Good Sunday morning to everyone. Thanks for the video Matt. And a shared thought . Through everything we endure and our lifes walk in this evil world seek Jesus Christ in your heart and life for he is the answer through it all ✝️💪🙏
Just don’t love this. Weird for Weird sake is cool, but this is a lot of work for something unnecessary. Lot of people have slammed a Camaro on a blazer frame, stuff like that. But ask yourself why no one actually wheels them. I feel like you’re going to have to change so much, it’ll be a pain in Frankenstein ass Where are you going to put your overland gear? The real cool one is the pacer
@@bleepinjeep I checked the video settings and there's no difference between this and others. I still watch/enjoy the videos, just has been pretty noticeable going back and forth.

Hollie, it has a sunroof so you can stick your head out the top! We are thinking A Head.
@bleepinjeep that's The "spotters Hole:..just have Josh stand in the sun roof and watch out...for things...
Bleepin jeep and my morning coffee. I could do this every Sunday

Beauty in the beast?
Appreciate the level of detail you’ve covering on this build. Way more comprehensive coverage than the S10 last time.
JAG - UA - RRRRRRRRR
Thanks, i wish I could cover every detail even more but there is just too much to accomplish and not enough time.
Wasn't that Cheating Colt,?
@@Michael666CA yeah, it was fun to see the S10 build but this is next level.

No doubt, check out the most recent video!
I lose sleep thinking about weird builds. This challenge is heaven 😌
Best lunch lady and lunches in the whole ONYX challenge.
Fury Road, I like it.
Don’t feel bad Josh, I can’t do trucker donuts either. Haha. God Bless 😊
I'm sure someone has mentioned it or maybe they did. But I'd be boxing in the frame if I was them. It would really help stiffen up the frame for the rear 4 link.
Trucker doughnut approved, truckers hitch knot _way before_ ratchet straps 👍😎✊
If you squint! It's mint!

Feels like it too
Good morning I like the progress on the on X build. It will definitely be one of a kind that is for sure

Ohh you'll like the paint just wait!
This coming together nicely. It's as if it was ment to be. Looks some of the parts wants to be there. Keep up the great work
Thanks 👍
What a beast. Long live the Brontosaurus.
I found your hood at my work place at greens recycling here in lc tn 3 weeks ago still have it here
that must be the trunk lid, or whats left of it
@@bleepinjeep yes I think that's what it is
No more Bleepin Matt, now it is Matt Hatchet.
HF will still Warrenty that jack stand. I highly advise to get rid of it as mine almost took my head off.
He's right! Take them back! The new ones are much better. They actually have real full welds not boogers like originals 😆 I always use 2 sets of jackstands now
Love the build so far. We need more videos!
What will you guys do with this when done? Do they all get auctioned off for charity? 🤔
New name alert!! The Juggy!!
Yes! It finally has a fitting name! Its the Juggie! I love Juggies....
I bet if Matt got 1/24 scale plastic model car kits of a Jag and Dodge truck and built that first, this build would've been a lot easier.
That is going to look so bad ass

Pretty sure that yota cage is made of poop pipe but either way it would be way too narrow and not the look we are going for

Can I barrow the gooseneck hitch plate/setup? I’ve got a second generation holy grail build. That could use a turn over ball hitch.
I'm thinking about putting it in my tundra
This thing is a monster!
Also, thank you for finally giving me a name for the way I’ve been tying my straps all along lol. The trucker donut.
Any time!
Noice!
Going to be huge!

A couple videos back we used the front axle off the Toyota as well. I believe the PO said they were 5:13

cool build!
Looking good 👍👍
I am very impressed, the idea of a wire used to make a template, very genius, my friend
I agree I thought it was a great trick for sure
Super cool!
It’s all JEEP parts - Just Everyone Else’s Parts

Why didn't you put the Jaguar body on the Toyota frame?
Jaguar massive, Toyota tiny
Haha y’all got me laughing out loud at the mumbling subtitles
wooooooooo!!!!!!
Put the radiator in back?
It’ll fit up front, we need the back for activities
Onx won't let me vote for you now with-out signing up for elite membership. Sorry I just want to vote is all. Love your channel.
Thanks, I think they are changing the parameters so that you have to be a paid member

Doesn’t everyone?
@@bleepinjeep If they don't they better start.
140" wheelbase, it better have a teflon belly skid, or wheels on the belly. ;)
Or have a 36” ground clearance 😁

WAIT!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
24:35
This thing could definitely be in the running for "ugliest but most functional" at SEMA 😂
it'll be SEMI- pretty before its all done
Y'all talked about cutting it out longer than it would have taken to just cut it out.
Get to work!
Wonder how much of that cage is getting reused for budgeting reasons..?
Hopefully none but there’s good steel in there in the sliders and such
Is josh wear Matt's shoes? Or did he take Matt's fashion style?
He probably got tired of his shoe laces catching on fire too, lol
Hey Matt just went to vote and it says you have to be a premium or elite member to vote this is some bullshit man
I know, they changed it up mid competition. Apparently there's was too many bots voting 🗳. Not sure if this will be back or if that's the new norm...
Just so you know, On X website won't let anyone vote unless they join and I'm not an off roader so I ain't joining.

That’s a lot of video, don’t know if I can talk that much 😄
XJ-PU?
Pick up, yes!
At this point there not much left of that dodge
No, but still a decent deal after selling the cab off it for what people are wanting for just a running 12v alone.
The feet on the jackstands are not even touching the ground why would that be used for that and there sold in pairs what yu get a backup 😂

It’s gonna be a truck, why would you think a pacer has more room for overland gear than a truck??
Instead of Xj. ExJ
Wait… you don’t have to build road worthy rigs this time? That’s kind of disappointing
No, it’s kinda weird how they did it this year but it can be trailered everywhere, unlimited tire size, and has to be camped out of only 1 night.
A ton of fabrication for this build.
