You can actually charge and use at the same time, there’s an option to enable it, I forget off the top of my head but you hold some button while powering on or something. The very first batch released here in China (where I am) couldn’t charge and play, but they added it for subsequent batches sent overseas. I had one of the first batch and after sending it back to Questyle they upgraded the firmware for me to enable charge and play, great service.

Ive tried both, ended up with Mojo 2.
An Ifi IEMatch 4.4mm totally solves the noise for me on my CMA18. Makes IEMs totally fine with it and sounds fantastic.
I have the M15 and I have one very big problem with upgrading to the CMA18 vs the Chord Mojo 2. The Mojo 2, a UK-made product is $799 here in Australia. The CMA18, a Chi-Fi product is *$1250!*
I'm upgrading to a Mojo 2 soon as I've heard it's one of the best value for money portable solutions you can buy and I doubt I'd feel any buyers remorse up against the much more expensive CMA18.

@@ConvinceMeAudio Chi-Fi has traditionally been the solution to Aussie hi-fi retailers' insanely marked up Western-made products, with some caveats such as build quality. Now they're about on par with their pricing. No idea if the quality has improved overall to justify the increase but it feels nice to finally have a Western-built option that is competitive with Chi-fi over here.
No contest with the mojo2. I’d seen all the fawning reviews. But actually very first time I used it was a wow moment. Do yourself a favour and add the poly for mobile use

I have tried the m15 with my Aful Explorer once. It pushes the treble a bit further and makes it for an amazing listen.

I previously had the Mojo2 and now have the CMA18P, and the difference is remarkable. The CMA18P delivers a much fuller, more expansive, and reference-quality sound. In my opinion, it’s on par with the Hugo2. While the Mojo2 sounds more compact closed in soundstage, the CMA18P provides a grand, holographic experience, both in depth and width, similar to what you'd expect from a powerful Class A or tube amp. I’m using it exclusively with headphones, not IEMs.
And that's the problem. If one already has a fully fledged desktop set up with tubes and solid state AND a mojo 2 this doesn't serve any purpose. I was hoping it would be suitable for replacing my BTR7 but it's noise floor is totally unacceptable.
Q15 is a brick but it's rocking flagship AKM

Excellent video!! Do you have a recommendation for a desktop dac/amp for under $1000 (could be a stack or all in one). This one could be considered a good choice or are there better ones?
@@eduardovargas6445 I would rely on this unit for portable use case not for desktop set ups to be fair
Not that you can’t use it I think there was a firmware update that allow you to charge consistently but my one trains the battery and charges the battery in a cycle and that’s really bad
Ifi Diablo two makes a fantastic set up for on the go and at the desk

@@MrJ.31 honestly, I think it’ll be fantastic if it can handle utopia. it’s a reference sound and I think it’s gonna do great things for the low end to.

@@Arda.zaman1 no r2r more organic, more convenient, it’s smaller lighter with streaming services, a far better Bluetooth implementation, this does not take anything away from Gold touch it’s absolutely exceptional, but it’s a very old unit
Software I think is far better on gold touch it’s quicker and because it’s not android which is a pile of poo, as usual, it’s just better for a DP
@@ConvinceMeAudio I listened both gold touch sounded me more live wider soundstage and enjoyment couz of Delta sigma akm chips I think, se300 sounded organic natural like you said it's got music service's and wi-fi that's very good but when it's comes sound I prefer gold touch it's livier fuller and tighter bass.thanks for your reply 👍
