I think, Old Keyring is not strictly better than Flashlight in every case. If your goal is just to cheat clues from 1 or 2 shroud locations, getting 3 in 4 actions is better than 2 in 3, even though it cost 1 resource more. Old Keyring excels, if you plan to fail some of the tests, to synergize with LWIF, Stella's ability or some other Survivor tech, so in particular on higher shroud locations.
Agreed, it is great when you combo it with LWiF as Stella. Often it means you can't fail by more than 2, you get to keep the key and you get an additional action.
I have played through multiple campaigns with level 3 Grete Wagner and never noticed that she can pick up clues from connecting locations as well, wow... (Even without that, she's still very strong for 3-book guardians and even for 2-book guardians.)
Cryptographic Cipher feels more like an Amanda card than a Trish one. The instant speed ability lets you make Amanda's big turns even bigger and the action lets you do something on her off turns.
The other good thing about Celaeno Fragments is that it's a tome. If you're running Whitton Greene as your ally you might go 1x mag glass 1x Fragments instead of 2x mag glass just for the extra chances to find it, and there are a few more exotic tome interactions that can come up.
Great video but you guys forgot Interrogate, the Guardian parley event that grabs 2 clues using fist stat. I want to see one of you build around that :p
Interrogate isn't really on par with the rest of these cards, so that's why we didn't view it as a notable inclusion. I think Travis did try it in his recent Roland deck!
Fingerprint kit can also be refilled with emergency cache (3). Worked really well for me on Carolyn fern and stick to the plan.
Newspaper is also great when there are locations requiring you to spend clues to move into them (lots in the new EoTE campaign).

Forced learning + improvised cards is sweet
The timestamp for Old Keyring is wrong, if that matters.

Similarly Fortuitous Discovery. That one at least got a try.
@@davidko9289 we've given fortuitous discovery more chances than it deserves
