Definitely keep ranking things! It'd be helpful to include a number in the corner next to each thing you rank so we know where in the list we are while watching the video.
I enjoyed this video. Rogue firearms can be a little tricky to evaluate. I particularly appreciate how you considered the broad use case, and didn't let Tony Morgan skew your perspective.
Damn idk why but I found this video really exceptional. Wasn't bored for a second, I learned something, interesting things to say all around. Great job
After almost exclusively playing Guardian (My wife) and Seeker (Me) we are finally branching out to other classes. And I am really falling in love with Rogues. And then you guys put out this video. lol Huge fan as always
Lists are always interesting, but seeker guns list next! You could rank all the ways seekers have to make damage, there's quite a few so it would make a big enough list by itself
The .25 Automatic has gotten A LOT better with Dirty Fighting. If you get a dirty fighting and two .25 Automatic into play one dodge turns into 4 shoots with +4 to hit. And that`s not even far fetched to get into play if you use the Underground Market.
The Springfield is amazing. And it got way better with Custom modification, where you can easily shoot into close combat without risking friendly fire.
I disagree with Bryn about Rogues needing hand slots to investigate. Rogues have one of the best slotless skill boosters for book tests in the form of permanent Streetwise, plenty of other skill boosting options for other playstyles like High Roller, Money Talks and Well Connected, and they have a solid selection of clue acceleration tech that doesn't need your hands in the form of cards like Pilfer, Damning Testimony and Intel Report. It's not unheard of for Tony Morgan to investigate at a base of 9 for three clues - all he needs is stack of eight resources, to have spent 3 (6 tabooed) experience in the past on a card that also covers him against his atypically low Foot score, and to have drawn one card from his deck. That's easier to pull off than the Lupara / Sleight of Hand combo, doesn't take even one hand slot, and is reasonable to do on the fightiest fighter who ever fought! I still think that you're not gonna take a two hand slot weapon as a rogue, though, because best the rogue firearm (with the possible exception of the .25 Automatic) is no rogue firearm. Take Switchblade (2) instead. Upgraded Colt Vest Pocket and Lupara are cool tricks, but they're more like events in drag than true weapons. A weapon gives you something you can rely upon to defend yourself, a fighty event rains down the pain briefly and is gone. Rogues get some cool firearms support, but they also get some cool event support and have strong options in that area. Backstab (3) with Chuck Fergus is more sustain and less burst than the Lupara "gun". .45 Thompson has the +2 accuracy that non-Tony rogues tend to crave, but it means that your ideal set up turn probably wants twelve resources to play two cards, and the Sawed Off Shotgun is a potential powerhouse that doesn't work in what ought to be some of its best use homes: A money-hoarding Preston Fairmont could Money Talks or Well Connected to leverage this thing to serious effect by testing it at silly high values, but he's prohibited from taking it; Leo Anderson has the best pool of cards to support it and the most desire to invest big on a showstopper gun, but it's too far into Rogue for him to get. I do think your Mauser / Stylish Coat combo is rather ingenious, though. For a hybrid who wants to contribute 2-damage hits on several different occasions over the course of the game that all lines up rather pleasingly. I might try that the next time I play Rogue, thanks for the idea. Another great video, guys! I love your passion for the game.
@@PlayingBoardGames It does if you flick it hard enough. I am also at your service if you need someone to recommend Cyclopean Hammer in the comments section of a video about Guardian Firearms. That one even makes a loud bang when you swing it - winning!

Hey at 1:04 I've never heard someone say "sandy" like that before. Is it the same as "salty?"

I'm amazed Lupara was #1. I'd put it below the upgraded Colt. With Sleight of Hand it's great, but without it it's much worse.

Man I really gotta find people to play with, I’m getting the Arkham Horror itch again lmao
Colt Vest Pocket is fun with Sleight of Hand
Awesome video

Did you just say to take a Switchblade in a video about Firearms? What the heck that doesn't shoot bullets.

"What about the Seeker Guns?" Justin, April 20th 2023
Edit: First Comment!
It's sad that roges were trash for so many expansions.
