- While most people know how to replace their reverse lights, I doubt many have messed with their rear fog lights. In this video I show you how to replace both, while at the same time upgrading to some super bright DeAutoKey LED bulbs. Links below for all the products used in the video!

Do these have built in resistors to fool the canbus into believing they are 12v and not throw up dash lights?

If a cop runs the plate everything will come up correctly, but technically it isn't a DOT approved plate.

Man, how do you remove the plugs? I tried pushing them in togther and then pulling apart, but still nothing, they just seem stuck

Is that fog bulb not serviceable without removing the light assembly? It looks like you might be able to just twist it out of there

The bolt that connects to the body/boot turns but doesnt come out ik the other one isnt supposed to but the one thats supposed to turns but dont come out
Do you ever have water in your taillights? If so, how do you find where it's coming from and fix it?
I do not. That's indicative of a failed seal. I'd start by removing my tail lights & inspecting for damage where the lens meets the housing
Hey, fantastic videos. I'm having trouble removing the upper bolt on the inside taillight housing (the one that you warn to not drop inside the trunk lid) on both sides. It turns but doesn't come out. Am I missing something,or am I just that unlucky and they're both stripped?
Sounds like something is wrong. You can gently pull the tail light towards you show unscrewing it to see if it comes out

I’m looking to try and find some of these in the Uk but there is onky Amazon throwing anything up that looks decent and id bet my ass that they will either throw up errors or stop working.

I have a 2012 audi a6 with the stock 20inch rims. When I got the car the psi was 32 in them and I found that it should be at 42. What psi have you found to work the best?
For daily driving run them at the recommended 42psi

How long do the timing chains last on the 3.0s? I’ve been looking at getting one of these cars and I know that’s a big cost.
Audi say chains should be replaced around 80k miles on the 3.0T's. Thing to listen out for is chain slap on a cold start, if it lasts more than a couple of seconds or more importantly for any length of time on a warm start then it's time to replace. Until that happens then it is ultimately down to how good the cars been looked after, especially the oil service history. Always make sure when going to view one of these that the engine has been left at least overnight before starting, preferably longer if possible. It can take a while for the oil to fully drain away from the chain tensioners, especially in the post 2012 models.
I have 250k miles on mine if that helps. No chain maitenance
Hey man quick question for you have you done any transmission work if so what type of fluid and would I need to replace the gasket and filter? Cause whenever my car downshift to d2 it jerks kinda hard compared to other gears so I'm thinking it's just need a transmission flush
I actually have a couple videos on this. I'd suggest you get the filter/gasket/screws from @fcpeuro, and use ROWE atf fluid. Get 6 bottles to be safe.
@@AudiC7Owners thanks and another question I got a check engine light for a code p050600 and it related to the idling control system and sometimes at low speeds the car like the stall out or when coming to a full stop it just turns off even if I have auto stop start turned off. Any experience with that?

As long as the A7 is an S-Line and is the same generation.
A C7.5 diffuser doesn't fit on a C7

Hello, I have just replaced my rear reverse lights and now my dash is throwing up lights for both reverse lights. Is there any thing I could do about this?
What bulbs did you use to replace them with?
@@AudiC7Owners Sylvania “super bright” 921 wedge LED bulbs, one of my reverse lights went out so this was the only temporary solution from advance auto parts but now its throwing lights on my dash
It's probably not compatible with the canbus system

Turns out my issue was just a dirty connector, just needed a cleaning.
Easy fix at least!

Is that a FOG patch on your hat or just a regular blackbeard?
I grew up near Topsail Island in NC which is the reported hiding place of Blackbeard's treasure. The Queen Anne's Revenge (His ship) was found just south of here as well.
