Truly! Ivo and Frankie are interesting on their own but being placed on a team and sat next to each other in the studio led to such magnificent things.
I was thinking the same thing from the first extract. Frankie's giggling during Ivo's ordeals was so funny. He may seem gruff but the dude radiates love, and he was so gracious about his mistake during the cuffed task.
It speaks to the level of quotability of Ivo Graham that he generated the most episode titles in the series. I’m waiting for the opportunity to use the quote “Please stop using me as a yardstick for failure”.
@@iliketrains3495 I imagine that if Kiell didn’t ask the incredible of ‘How Heavy Is The Water’, Episode 4 could’ve easily been called ‘I’ll sit in the shed…’ Ivo is one of those examples of a naturally intelligent contestant that just isn’t well suited to Taskmaster. I imagine he’s got a wide breadth of knowledge and facts in his head but is not the sort of person who can repurpose an umbrella or bounce a ball off of the most drum skins in a single go.
@@Harvey1211 He was utterly brilliantly suited for Taskmaster! Maybe not so much in the competitive sense - but for laughs! It was mostly the time-limit that tilted him...
@@KitagumaIgen he strikes me as just a genuinely nice person. The way he was laughing during the studio banter, you could tell he was having a great time. The quick wit during debates and arguments was amazing. One of my favourite moments that wasn’t in this video was when they had to walk like one of their fellow contestants in the studio tasks, and Greg had to guess who they were given. He did the ‘Jenny Eclair walk’ even though he was given ‘Frankie Boyle’ because he’d already lost the episode and just wanted to have a go at it.
Ivo was perfect for Taskmaster, particularly when paired with Frankie. The fact that those two came last in that series shows that scoring points and being entertaining are not necessarily the same thing.
To be fair to Frankie, he actually did pretty well, but he and Ivo were permanently held back by that one live task that gave 10 points to the other team. Frankie did catch up and was ahead of previous series leader Jenny until the very last task.
I've even noticed in the past several seasons people have complained more about the winners often being "boring" to them because just doing the tasks well is often not nearly as entertaining as the ones failing in fantastic ways. This didn't happen as much with early seasons, but I don't know if that's because the audience has grown to appreciate the "fun failures" more, or if the show has adapted to allow them to shine more. Perhaps a mix of both.
@@jijitters Fans had come to love the losers since Joe Wilkinson in series 2, so it's more likely the opposite and that they're bored by the people who complete the tasks the most simple and efficient way and end up winning. For a while, the only 'simplistic' winner was Josh Widdicombe (and even then he got a tattoo of Greg's name), then Kerry came along with the whole 'Bosh' philosophy and since then the winner has been the most simple and predictable contestant, the only exceptions I can think of are Lou, Ed, Morgana and Sam.
Yeah you freeze frame around 17:24 on Alex’s face at the right time, and you see not only is that 5 points but you also make two other people only get 3 points to make sure there’s a gap. Outrageous! 😂
I was his duty manager for his gig in Liverpool this year and he's an absolute sweetheart! So lovely and humble in person, plus his set was hysterical :) Nice to see someone who deserves it get success
I remember thinking during this season that a compilation of Ivo"s best studio quips alone would be great. The man was made for Taskmaster comedy, if not Taskmaster success.
Ivo getting stuck in a conversation with John is one of the greatest moments in the show, closely followed by Ivo sitting in desolation... in the wrong location.
The respectfulness and tact with which Ivo expressed his disagreement with Frankie in the lock task points to a solid upbringing and impeccable manners. Compared to, say, Iain Stirling's run on TM. Massive respect and props to Ivo.
Shame the accents/impressions live task didn't make it on here, Ivo throwing away his points to do the Jenny walk was one of the best moments of this series
Frankie and Ivo are the best chaos team I can think of in Taskmaster. Not the amazing camaraderie of The Sues in series 16 but so entertaining for the contrast of their personalities
Ivo mummy task moment is such and iconic part of this series....that and the live task where they had to answer the question about sausages and the answers where in the back
Ivo is afflicted with the curse of politeness, bless him. He should have gotten five points for his mummy stunt, damn it. I think Frankie was just scored based on the comedy aspect of it, and not fulfilling the criteria of the task.
Mae saying "I think this is all about confidence" and then immediately cut to Ivo falling apart, crushing garlic with a rolling pin is a *masterpiece* 21:22
It's still a jackpot that the show works so well with Alex and Greg. If anyone else would have had the idea for Taskmaster, it might have failed as a concept
Going to have a 👀 to find out if Ivo has a podcast or something. I could listen to him speak all day, great contestant too. If anyone knows where I can find more of him please let me know. ❤
I’m quite surprised that Frankie is on this tbh, you know, given the ableism. But I guess people don’t really care about ableism. The double standards of channel 4!
I really don't get the point of these. Kiell talking about his tasks was good, but these are just compilations alone and a good bit of it is focused on the other contestants.
I would say Dara's season, although with a slew of comedians I love, was a touch worse. Frankie and Ivo have genuinely amazing moments individually and as a team
@@adastida series 14 started off immediately good, had great studio banter from all contestants and had 5 funny contestants. Series 15 was very slow to warm up, most of the studio banter came from Frankie and Mae Martin wasn't funny at all.

I think he’s made it part of his tour name or his upcoming book! I can’t remember which
And pretty much every episode title was very reflective of his time on the show. Even "I Love To Squander Promise", an episode he won

did you need anymore proof than the last 12 series?
I know it's all subjective and Greg is fickle, but Ivo not getting full points for his mummy still makes me sad.
He was robbed!
I was so mad back then, it deserved all the points. 😂
Came to the comments to say exactly this.
He was 1000% the winner of that task and Alex was UTTerly fooled.
(Yes, I am still mightily aggrieved. )

Frankie's maniacal giggle while Ivo is stamping on bottles was the most beautiful sound my ears have ever heard. Lol

The "fake something" task is still one of the most glorious things ever!!
I love it so much.
"Can you get money back from Eton?" is such an epic burn 🔥 😂
I came here to say that. Best burn probably in the whole TM canon.
When he threw points away to do a Jenny Eclair walk - that was so funny

How is that not here ???
Oh neat, several weeks worth of anxiety and stress concentrated into a 23 minute video
You could weaponize this thing
Haha, nice!
It's rather like he's Frankie's disappointing son and his mother has given Frankie an ultimatum: Spend some time with the lad, or you're out.
Ivo's fake is easily in the top 5 most intelligent task attempts.
That mummy task was perfect! I love to see Alex and Greg's faces light up like that!
Frankie and Ivo are the best chaos team I can think of in Taskmaster. Not the amazing camaraderie of The Sues in series 16 but so entertaining for the contrast of their personalities

The Freudian middle finger to the glasses when Greg realises he can't think of an immediate response 😂

Ivo, Mae, and Jenny remain amongst my favourite contestants. I don't recall being as hooked by individuals as I was by these three!

Ivo is such a beautiful soul
The whole Ivo and Frankie spoon task is, i think, my favourite of all s15

Ivo definitely has a spot in my top 3 contestants of all time
Ivo's best win was the "pulper" task. I hope we get to see that task highlighted in its own video.
That bingo task was painful to watch. Poor boy.
this is one of my most favourite series and ivo is a big part of that 🙏
Whenever I can’t find my cat, I yell “where’s my chunkz?”
I absolutely adore Ivo ❤
I want to see a winner of the losers special. The losers were always the best ones to watch and laugh with.
Ivo makes my heart go woo
An episode title should've been "Life: hard. Death: frequent. Tension: constant." .... what a thought bubble 😂😂
Missed the S15e07's pulper wheel task, Ivo's shining moment where he figured out how to think taskmasterly.
Every moment Ivo’s on is a great mtm.
Turns out this was just another 'Best of Frankie' episode 😂
Going to have a 👀 to find out if Ivo has a podcast or something. I could listen to him speak all day, great contestant too. If anyone knows where I can find more of him please let me know. ❤
Him on the taskmaster podcast and OFF the menu is an absolute delight. I believe he also had a spot on bbc4 radio but it was a short thing.
7:38 Kind of sums up his experience on TM lol
Ivo Graham im free on Saturday Ivo Graham I am single and free on Saturday
I saw him a few days ago, he was great.
1) I love these best of contestant videos
2) Poor Ivo. Soo smart, but ends up kowtowing to Frankie's madness 😂😂

My favourite contestant!
Life hard, death frequent, tension constant needs to be put on a shirt stat!

8% of this country (England), and all of Finland play bingo. Unbelievable, can anyone from Finland confirm this?
i didn't really watch this season but ivo and frankie are fucking hysterical
"Are you blind, Ivo?"
I heard that in the voice. I will now be *doing* the voice until lunchtime. Darn it.
oh no! I'm inbred! 😂

Ivo kinda sounds like Jonathan Sims in a wierd British way and it's been bugging me ever since this series came out
that's having similar accents and the occasional sarcastic drone
oh no, im inbred
1642,conquest of paradise wasn't it?
That Bingo Task. The Bingo Bin didnt go through the main gate. It got tossed over
Holy fucking shit
Ivo and kiell saved that season
