The importance of the green grocer in promoting a transition to forming which is in alignment with long-term planetary and human well-being cannot be overstated Bill Fujimoto, the founder of the Monterey market in Berkeley is one of my heroes. With Bill has done this to educate the customer about organic food in a very quiet understated way. I’m making customers understand that the peaches on the shelf today will not be there tomorrow that they’re in a limited supply but agriculture. Assistant that is in motion, and that we need to evolve our expectations to be in alignment with what the Earth can offer us is the primary tool at our disposal to change peoples mindsets, and develop greater support for a transition to a new farming system, which puts the health and well-being of the planner first an alliance human well-being. Planetary will be in the well-being of all non-human life.
The biggest problem in the world is not corporate greed, it's centralized power structures. Governments have the same corruptibility issues. All earthly centralizing power structures will be corrupted, and to some extent even decentralizing entities will.
Where can I find something like good earth in NYC? I like how even their sandwiches are organic & their commitment to to usda organic as a baseline. I don’t see stuff like that around here, & I’m weary of Whole Foods produce, now with apeel. I feel like I’m living in a scary, monopolistic parellel universe. I really enjoy the produce coming out of Mom’s Organic in Paramus, one of the few places I trust around here for that, with darn good quality, to boot. I don’t even trust the farmers markets I’ve been to around here. Park Slope Food Coop was good when I started going their, but there quality of produce dropped off around the pandemic & I haven’t been back since.
