    yeah I ran into couple of 'are you sure?' moments when I was installing this w/ perrin's instruction. seems like trimming is unnecessary first of all if your using intake that replaces oem intake w/o coupler etc , second of all for anyone installing these I woulndt recommend trimming bpv/bov hosing at all before test fitting. I did, and I had to buy another inlet because boost leak occurred. also there comments about blowbys already but if you have IAG AOS STREET series for example, Ive read that some people still experience excessive blowbys in their intake tract, and IAG mentioned that although STREET series far better than having none, COMPETITION is better since air does not recirculate back to the intake.

    Not sure, but maybe also you should install Perrin turbo sump restrictor. You can see on Perrin's site, what problems it solves. I'm preparing my Forester for Stage2 and bought this restrictor.

    That oil is most likely coming from that breather hose. May need a IAG AOS.

    the turbo inlet is part of a recall.. and the recall notice did say that the inlet may potentially crack... i had mine replaced in 2016

    did you notice a weird turkey noise when coming off the boost? I just did the install and am having problems with the noise. I have the turboXS hybrid BOV as well

    A cracked inlet is not going to cause that much oil in the inlet. The oil is coming from something else. There is no oil feed to the inlet and that was pouring oil.

      @@TheHumanCarJack it was the first video I watched from you. I have a bigger picture now. I was searching for the end result, if Subaru covered you or not and where it everything stands now. Also, this isn’t a hit on you (everything is a learning experience) but did you discuss with your new tuner about the oil before the attempt at tuning?

      I did discuss it with my tuner and he basically shrugged it off saying it's normal so new tuner time

    Does the new cast aluminium turbo inlet from grimspeed fit the forester xt 14-18? They only make it for a wrx15’ and up

    i have a process west intake,verticooler topmount and full tbe with a 3 port bcs.Do i need to do this too you think? also have a gfb respons bov fitted

      The short block was on it's way out. Had a chunk of one of my pistons missing

      Anytime I'm unsure of a part name I google Subaru parts online, enter your make/model/year and search the diagrams for the appropriate part. Hope this helps
