You are the BEST sewing instructor I have ever had! Thank you for your soothing voice, helpful hints, clear, concise instructions, excellent pictures we can actually SEE as you're sewing, and the time you spend showing each step! The fact this is a FREE pattern is the "icing on the cake"! Thank you!

This is so great, thank you Rosie!! Am looking to sew something similar to L.L. Bean's Boat & Tote bag, and think this is a perfect alternative!

Thank you! Love this classic look. Old school canvas with ticking - so good! You have once again managed to reinvent the wheel. So many times I wondered what in the world you were doing only find myself saying , "Aha! Now I get it." LOL Thanks again. :)

Thank you! I learn so much from your tutorials! I have 2 questions: 1. What is the advantage of using a continuous zipper? Is it function, esthetics, or something else? And 2. What type/weight of thread are you using? I really appreciate you telling us the details, like stitch length and seam allowance.

Thank you so much Rosie !!! I have always wanted to learn how to do the recessed zipper. I noticed how well you lined up all the stripes...looked great! Sure shows your experience!

I can not take credit for lining up the stripes…that was purely by chance…lol. thanks for watching!

That is a super bag and your teaching method is simply the best as Tina sang. I most certainly will have a go at this once I have made the other patterns I have of yours. Thank you so much. 😁

I love this tote. Plan on making one for me but my granddaughter wants a very large one. She has two youngsters (yep I'm a greatgrandma!) and needs almost a suitcase when she goes anywhere with them. Do you think I can enlarge this or do you have different sizes? Thanks so much for your clear and concise tutorials.

What a lovely bag! I am pretty new to bag making and I've never seen a zip done this way before...it's fantastic! I would love to make this bag but I don't use facebook. Is the project sheet only available for Facebook users? Sorry to be a pest. This tutorial is fabulous. Lee xx
