The moment I'd figured out how the dungeon mechanic worked, I told myself "Welp, might as well wait for the green card that lets you Venture on a creature ETB". And then Varis was spoiled, and I was unhappily proven right. And then I read "When you cast" and "once per turn" and was happily surprised. Let's all be honest with ourselves here, green does NOT need to eat Venture alive like so many other things. We didn't need the ability to speed-run dungeons every turn by simply playing creatures like you'd do any other turn. Frankly, I'm hoping to see more "once per turn" clauses on green stuff, just curb their nonsense.
I straight up made tons of misplays during my first time piloting Prosper and still almost won the game lol. Card is nuts. Makes Dream Devourer more of a powerhouse than it already is. Breaks cards that were usually decent at best before. I also realized he's great with an "artifacts matter" sub-theme and so I got Goblin Engineer and Goblin Welder in there to turn treasures into... better treasure? Lol. Got Scroll Rack and Sensei's Divining Top in there to scry and make sure I exile what I want and draw what I want. Unbelievable card advantage for Rakdos for sure.

I love tiamat as a D&D player, but it's a C tier, funny to play, the problem with Tiamt it's the ETB+cast. If someone wanna play a 5 color dragon Commander play Ur dragon or Scion of Ur dragon
I have to respectfully disagree with you 100%. Tiamat is a S tier commander. I am a MTG Arena player. However I have a 5 color Dragon deck that uses Tiamat and I can safely say that I bring the pain on a casual fun level AND competitive! Just beat the other day a 5 color good stuff Jodah deck while they had a Omniscience enchantment in play... I consistently will beat other top tier commander decks. Not a offshoot every now and then thing. The thing with Tiamat is you might have a relatively good idea what's coming. But supported with good graveyard recursion cards and board wipe spells such as crux of fate, ruinous ultimatum etc. In combination with Sarkhan planeswalkers, Fearsome Whelp, and Dragons shamans to reduce dragons cost to essentially 1-2 mana. Good luck!!! Also good luck having/finding an answer for 6-12 threats coming your way. Not to mention each of those dragons individual abilities are usually game winning in and of themselves more times than not if not answered within a couple turns. There are ALOT of whiff 5 color dragons deck out there I'll admit. But go against the one built right and you'll find it is no joke whatsoever! To be honest if I had access to Ur-Dragon. I'd still choose Tiamat for the simple reason that she is cheaper for one so you're going to more consistently have her in play than UR Dragon. 2# She is super helpful in filling your hand back up with super dangerous threats if your going against heavy removal, board wipe counter decks. 3# She gives you the opportunity to tutor for specific Dragons that you need for specific matchups. Her utility is amazing if built correctly! Anyways, just my two cents on the matter
Some of these commanders suffer from the lack of support from new mechanics. Its the same for mutate and foretell. However I love my Ranar deck, it still works with fun blink effects!
I said to myself at the start of this episode that if Prosper is ranked below an A, I’ll have to go on a Rakdos rampage. Time to hurl some people through hell! (Although…I’ll be happy if my playgroup also underestimates Prosper’s power! Save mana on Commander Tax 👍🏻)
Death's Whisper is the LC I have to use for my first Commander deck. I'm new to MTG and literally wanted to start playing after I saw Lolth, but with how few cards I have Death's Whisper is the only card I could use that isn't Asmodeus since I don't have many unique cards. :(
The hate on breunor lol. The card gives boros voltron what it needs. A stronger way to do it. Because of that +2 to power, it requires less equipment to go on one creature, giving you the ability to create an army of beefy fighters instead of 1 or 2
I pulled Promo Xanathar at my LCS's prerelease event. I already had my Xanny deck, hoping to get him. While Krydle isn't as good as the CMDR, I put him the 99 because he's great support for other rogues--like Zareth San the Trickster--if you use him as Rogue's Passage on a creature.
The only problem with this set (in edh) is that unless everyone at the table is rolling dice, you're going to be at a luck-based disadvantage. The set is fun, no doubt. Far more casual. Just make sure everyone in your play group is down for a super casual game.
i am very confused cuz some of the cards that were ranked high in the golden pig awards were ranked low or mid teir in this video but its by the same person so i dont really understand can someone plz explain?
Ok so the red dragon is a instant win condition in treasure decks...oh did you not know that? More so if you have gold dragon and old gnaw (the green dragon from this set) all you have to do is swing with old gawn out, then you get a bunch of treasure then spend 7 of it (of your treasure is worth 2 mana, if not its 14 of it witch is still easy)and boom you win
You should do another under used cards video, Or jank cards video. my favorite new jank card is sire of stagnation and it’s caught everyone by surprise using that with storm cauldron gets pretty funny
Yeah as she stands with a well tuned deck even if you disregard other sources of venturing it’s easy to get a creature a turn cycle. She’s like a 3 mana 3 color Meren that can reanimate any creature. Looters are going to be insane in this deck.
She's busted if you can pull multiple dungeon ventures in one turn, or on enemy turns, which is possible but you need lots of mana and probably more discard effects, ltb effects, or better sack outlets than her precon. I only play casual myself but I doubt she could hold up in competitive, unless someone can prove me wrong.
I have to disagree on Gretchen's placement. She's basically a nerfed Thrasios, but that's still incredibly overpowered. She's boring, yes, but definetly not middle of the road in power level.
Most God creatures already have indestructible so I completely agree. I understand that WotC had to balance her insane ETB but still, I don’t think that for 7 mana giving her hexproof or at least ward 7 to match her mana value is that much to ask
Can you please do the cards in alphabetical order and leave it open till the end until you assign it to a tierlevel? Would make the video much more interesting in my opinion

Kalain + the Ozolith and treasure gen = gross
I can’t wait for the lotr crossover they better have some good Aragorn ranger type and good legolas elf type archer
Edit: fricking autocorrect
I predicted or made a wolfgar like card way before it was spoiled. so im glad theres an officail one
I like your overall look on it
Okay, but I have a brawl based on Brunor battle hammer, and it slaps.
Prosper is easily an A-Tier commander. The value is incredible. People underestimate him every time.
Not when his precon is consistently stealing cards sadly
Does "low to the ground evasive creatures" exclude fliers?
First S tier mono-white commander!!! Lets go bois!
Everyone give Targ Nar a chance, i’m already on a deck tech for Her/Him and the new green equipment that makes the equipped creature’s base power and toughness 10/10 is great 👍 for the deck and so is Kessig Wolf Run and Skarrg, the Rage Pits.
While I don't think I'd play him as commander but in a rahda he can become huge and possibly a game ender, but better as a 99
The moment I'd figured out how the dungeon mechanic worked, I told myself "Welp, might as well wait for the green card that lets you Venture on a creature ETB".
You could play Prosper with Anje Falkenrath and a Falkenrath Gorger and just laugh at the evil you've wrought on your playgroup
@@samtheactualkenku6205 My Merciless Rage precon just came in the mail today 😈 gonna test out what does and doesn't work and hopefully have a powerhouse of a deck finished by the next time the pod gets together
If Vrondiss is going to be your go to, I'd suggest Doubling Season or Parallel Lives
I just want to point out asmodeus in Mairsil is hilarious
due to arena processing problems because of a certain new combo Delina, wild mage has been changed when it comes to the function of the card's abilities
Overestimate: Tiamat/Gnawbone (Self-defeating) Underestimate: Bruenor Battlehammer (Knee-caps for 21 Damage turn 3-4 without much effort)
I made a kalain deck and have actually had a lot of fun and some good wins with her especially if I use 6 treasure tokens on my 5/5 dragon
People sleeping on Trelasarra soooo hard. Low A-Tier, man. Very fun commander and makes life gain kinda nuts.
Some of these commanders suffer from the lack of support from new mechanics. Its the same for mutate and foretell. However I love my Ranar deck, it still works with fun blink effects!
The dice roll thing gives Vrondiss a TON of gas.
Kalain looked pretty decent in the game knights video
Prosper and Xenathar are S-Tier imo. Very powerful!
Death's Whisper is the LC I have to use for my first Commander deck. I'm new to MTG and literally wanted to start playing after I saw Lolth, but with how few cards I have Death's Whisper is the only card I could use that isn't Asmodeus since I don't have many unique cards. :(
Did you make a videos likes Commander' s deck budget with this commanders? Thanks fof your videos 😊
Hey Mitch when will you do that deck tech on the any tribe matters? I am super looking forward to it!!
The hate on breunor lol. The card gives boros voltron what it needs. A stronger way to do it. Because of that +2 to power, it requires less equipment to go on one creature, giving you the ability to create an army of beefy fighters instead of 1 or 2
So Mitch, just out of curiosity, which of these commanders are you playing?
I'm thinking Targ Nar would be best in Xenagos, but even there he's not amazing.
Forgotten realms has a few pack tactics and a few clone token options..... it combos well.
I'll be back I must prepare for the werewolf set
I desperately want werewolves to be relevant!
@@tylerrusnak7736 I traded a Commander Legends Scroll Rack for Old Gnawbone(OGB). OGB's gonna go in my Chatterfang deck.
Prosper is S tier in my book
Klauth + Wulfgar. Need I say more?
Kind of wanted Galea to be able to cast stuff with flash - similar to Elsha
I think Targ Nar would've been amazing if it wasn't legendary. I mostly play commander, but running 4 Targ Nars in an arena deck would've been tight.
I'd love to see you make a Catti-Brie budget deck, she is a great choice for it
I haven't even seen the video yet, and I don't even care, Volo is my #1 no matter what.
Farideh’s ability doesn’t specify what dice to roll. So that means you can roll a d100 for max odds
Remember everything that has legendary in it's typing doesn't mean it's a commander.
That is quite literally what legendary means
Do you mean not everything that has legendary SHOULD be used as a commander?
My prosper chill is typical meets tiny bones meets exile others decks and play there stuff. The aggressive build is a storm build
Man good thing I got dungeons of death cuz sefris and nihiloor to me are just so awesome
Bruenor is definitely b tier with the right build. I have no problem one-shoting players before most decks get going and has good resilience.
You should do another under used cards video,
Or jank cards video. my favorite new jank card is sire of stagnation and it’s caught everyone by surprise using that with storm cauldron gets pretty funny
I feel that Brunor is a very powerful voltron commander. I’ve won on turn three with him.
Sefris would be absolutely busted without the once per turn
Yeah as she stands with a well tuned deck even if you disregard other sources of venturing it’s easy to get a creature a turn cycle. She’s like a 3 mana 3 color Meren that can reanimate any creature. Looters are going to be insane in this deck.
She's busted if you can pull multiple dungeon ventures in one turn, or on enemy turns, which is possible but you need lots of mana and probably more discard effects, ltb effects, or better sack outlets than her precon. I only play casual myself but I doubt she could hold up in competitive, unless someone can prove me wrong.
Sefris is S-Tier if he based it on the other cards synergy in its deck. Also imo, Tiamat is B-Tier at best
@Volrath or make a planeswalker that synergizes with dungeons like every time you use a loyalty counter, venture.
@Volrath Give it time, maybe it'll happen. Though I think those of us that like dungeons are in the minority.
Why only some legendary creatures goes to Mtgo?
I have to disagree on Gretchen's placement. She's basically a nerfed Thrasios, but that's still incredibly overpowered. She's boring, yes, but definetly not middle of the road in power level.
How can I get a 10 or higher for Farideh while roling the planar die with fractured powerstone?
In 1v1 MTG, if you can get Xanathar to stick he is *absolutely* oppressive if he sticks
i have just played a game of limeted against a xanathar and he was brutal
Nice Bellcurve
Klauth + scourge of the throne = win
I do love me some Asmodeus.
Question. Can Delina, Wild Mage create permanent token when used in an Obeka, Brute Chronologist deck?
Yes
@@noahfenlon4231 Sick
I actually really like kalain, with enough treasure makers and enough treasure payoffs, she can be really powerful and make your creatures huge.
I just wish that tiamat was good in standard. Give her at least hexproof or indestructible. She is the mighty goddess, after all.
Most God creatures already have indestructible so I completely agree. I understand that WotC had to balance her insane ETB but still, I don’t think that for 7 mana giving her hexproof or at least ward 7 to match her mana value is that much to ask
Ebondeath dragon is going in my gisa and Geralf deck it’s gonna be an extra gravecrawler lol
Can you please do the cards in alphabetical order and leave it open till the end until you assign it to a tierlevel? Would make the video much more interesting in my opinion
