The Mountain Summit
And now we're at the final stage. Just like games before the stage itself doesn't offer much. It's ultimately just a small handful of enemies before the mid and final boss.
Sanae puts up a surprising challenge as a mid-boss. Both of her spells has her firing a tightly packed mess of bullets that can get very difficult to dodge if you take her lightly.
Iesua is also surprising, but that's because of how strangely easy she is to defeat. Merciful god indeed in that case but really outside of two spells her attacks aren't that bad.
(And I say this from my playthroughs that WEREN'T slowed down this bad. Before it was only the cool down's that dropped the frame rate now it's most of the damn fight.)

Loli Jesus was executed surprisingly well; good balance of respect for the basis and the additional Touhou-isms enhance the character (and the zunpet-piano-church organ mix is God-tier... wait)
I gotta say, I'm still impressed with how well they handled Iesua's character.
The titles say it all : Sanae is Unforgiving while Iesua is All-Forgiving.
No wonder the latter is tougher.
The Last Frames
Honestly did not remember just how well Iesua was written. Her lines are practically ripped from the Bible. I already loved this game's portrayal of Christianity from Iesua but now I can appreciate it more.
Marisa's dialogue is super good too, it definitely sounds like someone explaining the morals of Christianity to someone who grew up without a faith. She asks some good questions too.
I wouldn't say she's *that* well written, due to the fact most of the things she says are (as you said) just ripped from the bible.
Which Imo, kinds of just makes her a Genderbent Re-Skin of Jesus that throws lasers and flies, which yeah, may still be somewhat interesting without heavily changing who Jesus was in the Bible, but still feels somewhat plain.
That may be just by bias when it comes to representing Jesus in fiction, in which I prefer approaches more similiar to that of what C.W Lewis did with Aslan.
(Which yes, it takes a lot of the bible and then just reshapes it to fit with the context of the story, but still has a lot of cool ideas besides just the obvious simbolism and ideas taken from the bible)
Iesua remains one of my favourite fangame bosses because her theme is really awe-inspiring, fitting her role. And this game being one of the first fangames I played.
But man... that lag is just horrible, kills the intensity of the battle. I kinda wish they would release an updated version with the lag reduced, but their dev team is already busy as is

i like how it both gives a respectful portrayal of yeshua and the basic ideas of christianity, while also giving good critiques of christianity.

The angels (Janet and Michel) are fighting the devil, Mumumu as the prophecy foretold, implied by the main spellcard name. Marisa is just there to witness it all and defeat any one side to bring Iesua back for the final part, a la saviour of humankind style

I believe the slowdown on the final boss' nons is intentional. Apparently it's not present in practice? Although I haven't actually checked for myself.

I like how some of the comments say the writing for Jesus-chan is well executed when really most of this stuff is ripped straight from the bible itself =w=U

Personal opinion, they dropped the ball HARD with Iesua’s danmaku - and it really continues to be a trend in Ido games until RSS of the final boss having the worst spells.
