To all the petite women replying: I don't idealize being short or being tall .. But I can tell you from personal experience that I cried myself to sleep often as a teenager, wishing I was shorter... That I struggled more than my shorter friends to be seen as "cute" or to find a boyfriend.... Even now I get triggered by all the TH-cam videos where TH-camrs go around asking if men prefer tall or short women and the answer is 90% of the time, short women. In the end I respect the specific struggles that short women have to deal with, but trust me from personal experience, it is not easy on the other side ! Growing up in the 80’s/90’s, I hated being short at 5’1”; all celebs and successful people seemed so much taller. There was rarely any info on their height and it was also the super model era - tall and skinny. The Vocal Trinity (Whitney, Céline and Mariah) sure are giant girls lol. But Mariah always wears shorter heels when she stands next to another tall girls. I don't know why lol. There were pictures of her where she looked shorter than another celebs who are actually shorter than her, then when i watched the video, she was actually trying to appear shorter to make her look cute lol.
