Shoe Shining is an art. I learned as a child to shine my father's shoes, down to flaming the end of the laces. But I was never this good. Straight polishing, brushing ... it was one of my favorite things to do and my earliest memory of doing it was when I was about 5. Such great feels. I never did it to this extent though.

What are you scraping with the blade? And how do you know where to scrape? It's quite obvious it's done by feel, but what are you feeling? I have to say that I've never, ever, seen any shoe shiner use a blade. And I grew up in a time where shoe shining was a staple in many places.
As much as I love Angelo's videos; mixing the saddle soap in the top of the can is unacceptable. The sound we crave is the wood handle knocking around inside the near empty can. Thanks, keep up the good work.
