Tim Foust is a true BASSO PROFUNDO. He is one of a select few basses in the WORLD whose range encompasses reaching a full octave LOWER than the standard bass range. Tim has a 5+ octave range. He’s an EXCEPTIONAL singer!
Peter Hollens and Avi Kaplan (formerly of Pentatonix) have a collaboration: ‘Black Is the Color of My True Love’s Hair”. In it, Avi hits VERY low notes. He’s been training to be basso PROFUNDO...and his coach? None other than...TIM FOUST. Just like the premier, top notch sopranos (like Mariah Carey and Morrissette Amon) can sing in the ‘whistle’ register, basso PROFUNDO are adept at the ‘growl’ register!
OMG Tim’s stare! Right into your soul! Plus the camera actually vibrates when he hits that last note! Definitely check out these guys do “Sound of Silence”, guaranteed goosebumps!
Really showcases Tim's range. First time I heard MayDay I just thought wow. But the first time I heard this song, I thought the same thing. Peter and Tim are great together.
Any time you think you know all about what Tim can do with his voice, he does something even more outstanding! He is such an impressive, skilled singer, he,outshines with a new skill to shock you. I can’t think of another group of singers who each member is outstanding with their capabilities and skills. No their arranging, writing, beat boxing, etc. skills just continue to get perfected even more than you think are possible. They shock you every time you listen to something new. They never leave you disappointed. God bless you all!
QUICK! while you are reeling from Tim's last low note, run, don't walk, to listen to Homefree Mayday!!! Also, check out Two Cellos "Thunderstruck." Btw, thanks for watching my request. 😊
“Bridge Over Troubled Water” Peter Hollens and Tim Foust!!!! Unbelievable!!! You will absolutely love it!!! I love all your reactions...keep ‘em commin’!!!
Thanks for this reaction, just went and checked out what else they sing together. The Sounds of Silence is good but Bridge Over Troubled Water is amazing!
Great reaction, as usual. This is one of my all time favorites so I really like that you did it. As many times as I have listened to it I still have trouble believing this is just two voices thanks to Peter's genius. Peter and Tim doing "Sound of Silence", "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Greensleeves" are all great. Or absolutely anything by Peter.
Love your reactions!! You''ll love "How Great Thou Art" , "Helplessly Hoping" and any Home Free songs..not only are they great voices, they are amazing entertainers. They do European tours as well as the states and I've seen about 5 shows..I'd go everyday if I could. So much fun and they sound as amazing live.
Great reaction! Love your face on that last note. Tim’s a beast! Peter collaborates with Avi Kaplan on “Black Is the Color Of My True Love’s Hair”. Keep it up with these great reactions.
Bow down to these two! Tim's bass and baritone notes are fucking God worthy. He's broken speakers and the ground fucking shakes when he hits those notes. The camera was even shaking when he hit that last note! It's insane!!
To give you a little context, this song is sung in The Hobbit by a company of Dwarves. Very low-voiced, sort of a going-off-to-take-our-country-back song. Thanks so much for reacting to this! I was waiting to see your reaction to Tim's last note, and you did not disappoint! Putting in another plug for Kevin Olusola's cover of Down by Marian Hill. He's the beatboxer in Pentatonix, and this number showcases just how much of a musical genius Kevin is.
Love that you don’t stop and talk like most reaction videos. Great to see someone who just enjoys the videos and is not breaking it down and trying to analyze the video.
Great reaction bud mine was the same first time I saw it... check out green sleeves with Tim and Peter it’s awesome too... I subscribe to Peter Holland as well the man is remarkably talented... fantastic. His wife is an incredible vocalist and singing teacher as well.
Awesome reaction! I too have never seen any Lord of The Rings or Hobbit movies...but I absolutely love this video! Now that you've seen Tim's low notes....I can't wait to see your reaction to their cover of Mayday!! That one will shock you even more!
That last note was insane. I’ve never heard anything like Tim come out of a human he’s so talented. Keep them coming you turned me on to some great music I’ve never heard and I’m enjoying the journey with you. He’ll Justin Johnson plays a shovel crazy stuff.
Yay! I recommended this a few videos back (and have been binging your videos since!) It's such a great display of Tim's voice! I've seen them perform in concert twice- and they are JUST AS GOOD if not better in person. Tim rocks the chairs in the theater with his bass... It's amazing. For future videos, I would recommend Home Free's "Mayday" and "In The Blood". SO GOOD. Also, their "Seven Bridges Road" and "My Church" are both great, and since I know you said you enjoy your hymns/Christmas music, "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "O Holy Night" are absolutely angelic.
This song always tends to mesmerize me. When Tim hit that massive low note at the end, the look on your face was priceless! It was the same look I had the first time I heard it. If you want an example of how Tim can slide the vocal scales so effortlessly, then check out Greensleeves with Peter Hollins and Tim Foust.
I have to add something. I just got home from seeing Home Free in concert. Really killer show and if you think this is a powerful example of Tim's bass I have to tell you that it doesn't even come close. I expected to feel that bass through my body but he actually made my hair and my clothing vibrate. Unbelievable. No human should be able to do what he does!
lol.. Told you that last note was intense right down to setting the camera to vibrating :). Now, go watch Tim sing in his higher range in "Mayday"!! (and listen to Chance take over the bass part) They are all so talented. You also may want to check "Thinking Out Loud/Lets get it on" and listen to the sound Tim makes right at the beginning.
I don't even think that that final note is on a scale!!! Love it....but my favorite song with Peter and Tim is "Bridge Over Troubled Water," Tim doesn't do any vocal acrobats in it but you'll love it all the same, I'm sure.
Have you seen The Hound + The Fox feat. Tim Foust doing 'We Three Kings'? That's a fav of mine. And they also do a cover of the Nine Inch Nails song Hurt (its closer to the Johnny Cash cover) feat. Chance, and he also sings with them on The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire). Both members of The Hound + The Fox were part of fifgen, the production company that filmed many of Home Free's early videos (2015-2018).
I'm a bass lover. I love anything bass - guitar, voice, or instrument, so that last note blows me away every time!! However, I'd just like to point out... how about Peter's high note at around 4:25!! That is as awesome to me as Tim's last low note! Wow!! Peter has got some mad skills!! This video is as incredible the 50th time I've watched it as the 1st time! 😉 Thx so much!
Awesome as always! You should check Voiceplay out. Especially their Moana medley and Phantom of the opera! Also Disney love medley by Voctave. Kirstin from Pentatonix is in it and.. let’s just say you won’t regret any of it..! Keep up the great work!
That last note was Time Foust making an easy path for the Dwarfs by splitting the Misty Mountain open for them........... Yeah...Tim's pretty freaking awesome!!!!!!!
Hi I’m new to your channel and I loved this video when it came out! I also think you would like the video with Peter Hollens with Avi Kaplan in Black Is The Color Of My True Loves Hair - that’s my suggestion. Well besides all of Pentatonix’s official videos.
Amen CHILLS Tim’s low range OMG 😮 No one can do that but Him (just saying!). Please react to these two Guys covering Bridge over Troubled Water 💦 KILL IT!!!😍❤️✌🏻
Peter is incredibly talented so I hope you'll react to some of his solo stuff! A few of my absolute favourite videos from him are: I See Fire (from the Hobbit movie) Hellfire (from The Hunchback of Notre Dame) Be Prepared (from The Lion King. Some of the people working for/with him are in it and it's pretty funny!) Imagine (in the style of PTX!) Never Enough (from The Greatest Showman)
A word to the very wise. If someone calls you out, and their face has the intensity and the eyes that you just saw on Tim Foust, don't hesitate. Get the Hell out!!
I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of Lindsey Stirling (Dancing violinist) or not but her and Peter Hollens did amazing game covers together before they got famous. Everything from Assassins Creed, Skyrim, also Star Wars songs, and others it’s pretty awesome! Definitely check out more Lindsey and Peter!!❤️
Please check out Peter and Avi, "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair". Peter is a very big Disney afficionado, he has done a lot of Disney stuff. My favorite is his medley with Whitney Avalon, Disney Villains.
If you like Peter Holland, please try a song called The Prayer that he sang with his wife Eveanne (?) . It is really beautiful and their voices blend and contrast so well.
If you like Peter and you also like Disney then I strongly recommend his collab with Whitney Avalon on their Disney villain medley. I can't listen to that often enough ~
As much as I admire Home Free, Peter is right up there with them. Give Boy Band Parody with Paint a try... It will have you laughing your butt off! Or the gaming music I think I suggested elsewhere... Another suggestion is VoicePlay and their skit from The Sing Off Tour called Road Trip. Another one that will have you rolling around on the floor. Thank you, I always get a kick at everyone's expression with that end note. ^_^
React to Home Free Guilty Pleasures. Very funny!! There is also a video with Tim, Avi, and someone I don't know having a bass sing off. One has their low and high notes another one has just the low notes. I won't spoil who wins! Also Morgan James from Past Modern Jukebox singing Aerosmith Dream On also one of All About That Bass. This group takes modern songs and does them as 30, 40's , 1950's. There is also a Morgan James video of her singing with a band that wears balloons and Speedos. Pretty kooky!
for Peter the Disney Villians is great as is his collaboration on Skyrim theme and Lion King with Broadway cast lol for Tim 2 with Peter and then Peter with Avi and K.O. again as well as Voctave anything and everything
And it's not just that the last note is incredibly low. It's that Tim can hold that vocal fry so steady for so long, seemingly without effort. And yes, I definitely remember INXS. And I love Men at Work! (Sorry.)
OK my friend --- I Loved it by the way!!! --- I think you're ready.... along with Phyllis B and rachel hurst ... for "MAYDAY" ... might I suggest ya give a listen to the original by Cam 1st .... then try HF on it? Maybe? ......... It's killer and then some!!!
Tim Foust is a true BASSO PROFUNDO. He is one of a select few basses in the WORLD whose range encompasses reaching a full octave LOWER than the standard bass range. Tim has a 5+ octave range. He’s an EXCEPTIONAL singer!
Like Freddie Mercury.haf a 4 octave range

@Baran Koç Tim is a lyric bass & has a beautiful singing voice.😊
@Baran Koç he is a basso profundo. Do your research.
And he can sing that last note live with no problem.
Even sitting as far back as we were (two weeks ago), when Tim did those low, low notes our seats were rumbling.
Wasnt even his lowest note... that was a G1 he can go down to the "unreachable note" at G0
OMG Tim’s stare! Right into your soul! Plus the camera actually vibrates when he hits that last note! Definitely check out these guys do “Sound of Silence”, guaranteed goosebumps!
This is the perfect time to watch MAYDAY by HOME FREE. His range will blow your mind. Mayday!
I agree, starting off as a tenor!😊
Yes yes yes. Love their version of that song. On my playlist!
Really showcases Tim's range. First time I heard MayDay I just thought wow. But the first time I heard this song, I thought the same thing. Peter and Tim are great together.

To anyone honestly wondering. That last note was an G#1. His fry register was perfection. Brilliant.
SO incredible!! GOOSEBUMPS!!! Aural gold. Thanks for the FB message pointing me to this reaction.
“Bridge Over Troubled Water” Peter Hollens and Tim Foust!!!! Unbelievable!!! You will absolutely love it!!! I love all your reactions...keep ‘em commin’!!!
Yep! You have been bass-slapped. Peter and Tim -- Bridge Over Troubled Water, Greensleeves, Sound of Silence.
Totally Epic! I love this song...Both are great outstanding! Thank you for your reaction! Be safe!
Thanks for this reaction, just went and checked out what else they sing together. The Sounds of Silence is good but Bridge Over Troubled Water is amazing!
Welcome to Mr. Foust!

Tim is simply A VOCAL BEAST!!! SICK VOCAL RANGE...🔥🔥🔥💗💗💗 GREAT reaction. 👍👍👍
Looking like that, singing like that!!!!! So in love with Tim.
Peter Hollens voice is unbelievable. He performed a song with Avi Kaplan (former Pentatonix bass) "Black is the Color of my True Loves Hair."
That was Tim's bass note "growl". If you haven't already, please take a look at HomeFree's fun cover of "Can't Stop The Feeling"
Great reaction! Love your face on that last note. Tim’s a beast! Peter collaborates with Avi Kaplan on
“Black Is the Color Of My True Love’s Hair”. Keep it up with these great reactions.
I was hoping you would do a reaction to this! Amazing song 💙

Yess, so glad you love this one. always makes me smile when Tim gets to show his versatility. Peter Hollens is amazing too
Love that you don’t stop and talk like most reaction videos. Great to see someone who just enjoys the videos and is not breaking it down and trying to analyze the video.

Some more Peter and Tim songs that they have done are - Sound of silence, Bridge over troubled water and Greensleeves
Awesome reaction! I too have never seen any Lord of The Rings or Hobbit movies...but I absolutely love this video! Now that you've seen Tim's low notes....I can't wait to see your reaction to their cover of Mayday!! That one will shock you even more!
I've watched that video so many times and I'm still awed by it.
if you'd like some of their more fun ones.. Summer in the Country, California Country, Good Ol' Boy Good Time
Please react to Sound of Silence by Peter & Tim....It's epic...
That is a good one, Greensleeves, and Bridge Over Trouble Water are 2 of my favs between Peter & Tim
It’s not as epic as it could’ve been. They didn’t utilize Tim’s bass as much as they should’ve
That last note was insane. I’ve never heard anything like Tim come out of a human he’s so talented. Keep them coming you turned me on to some great music I’ve never heard and I’m enjoying the journey with you. He’ll Justin Johnson plays a shovel crazy stuff.

Perhaps another little side trip and toss in Todrick Hall and Pentatonix doing Wizard of Ahhhhs? Loving your channel.
Yes!!!
This song always tends to mesmerize me. When Tim hit that massive low note at the end, the look on your face was priceless! It was the same look I had the first time I heard it. You should definitely react to ‘Black is the Colour of my True Loves Hair’ by Peter Hollens and Avi Kaplan! Truly shows the depth of Avi’s vocals
lol.. Told you that last note was intense right down to setting the camera to vibrating :). Now, go watch Tim sing in his higher range in "Mayday"!! I loved your reaction! Looking forward to the next one beit Tim and Peter or Home Free.
I love seeing people go speechless with good artists. You can just relate that sense of unexplainable emotion through the visuals.
Their is one all though short where Tim blows out a speaker. Look it up it amazing.
Yep. Peter is magnificent with his harmonies and arrangements but Tim stole the show with that last note!!!
I don't even think that that final note is on a scale!!! Love it....but my favorite song with Peter and Tim is "Bridge Over Troubled Water," Tim doesn't do any vocal acrobats in it but you'll love it all the same, I'm sure.
Their voices together give me goosebumps
Tim's version of Cant help falling in love is excellent. I normally hate when people remake Elvis songs but Tim does it justice
You should check out Peter and Avi do Black is the color of my true love's hair

Tim is a beast! Love watching him with Peter. Have you heard Avi Kaplan's new release Change on the rise?
That last note was Time Foust making an easy path for the Dwarfs by splitting the Misty Mountain open for them...........
Yeah...Tim's pretty freaking awesome!!!!!!!
Love the Hobbit series both books and movies! This song always gives me shivers!

Love it, thanks
The song 🤗 That last note 🤯
This and Peters cover of Black is the color with Avi are among my favorite Peter vids.
This song basically explaines the plot of the entire story. THe song from the movie was well done, but this is over the top amazing.
If you get a chance (if you haven’t done so already) Peter Holden’s did a song with his wife called The Prayer. I think you would really enjoy it.
real artistry !
Chris Rupp ft Tim Foust, Angels Among Us
Amen CHILLS Tim’s low range OMG 😮 No one can do that but Him (just saying!). Please react to these two Guys covering Bridge over Troubled Water 💦 KILL IT!!!😍❤️✌🏻

Peter is a very big Disney afficionado, he has done a lot of Disney stuff. My favorite is his medley with Whitney Avalon, Disney Villains.
Last Note, in my opinion it was a G1. Like the last not in Ring of Fire. And what amazes e,he holds that note for a LONG AZZ TIME.
Looking forward to hearing some Aussie stuff actually I’m from Canada so we get none of that here.
If you like Peter Holland, please try a song called The Prayer that he sang with his wife Eveanne (?) . It is really beautiful and their voices blend and contrast so well.
Just released, Dreaming....it's awesome
If you like Peter and you also like Disney then I strongly recommend his collab with Whitney Avalon on their Disney villain medley. I can't listen to that often enough ~

And it's not just that the last note is incredibly low. It's that Tim can hold that vocal fry so steady for so long, seemingly without effort. And yes, I definitely remember INXS. And I love Men at Work! (Sorry.)
Some Men At Work stuff is good, some songs are overplayed here in Oz.
I think your gamer base would blend with your music base and both appreciate Skyrim by Peter Hollens / Lindsey Stirling :)
Also, yes we've heard of INXS, at least up in Canada. Aaaand Men at Work. And obviously AC/DC (because who hasn't?)
Yes, please!
Watch Greensleeves - Peter Hollens feat. Tim Foust now! It is amazing! Tim sings Bass AND Tenor in it!
Hehe, I have this version in my playlist.
WTF - What The FOUST!!
You'll love Nightwish "Ghost Love Score"
Since you like Tim and Avi you should do Homefree Ring of Fire. It’s homefree and Avi helps out.
peter and tim do a version of greensleeves that is fantastic. And they did it in one take. amazing.
For an incredible female a'capella group, could check out "Amazing Grace" by BYU Noteworthy
new to the channel but do Peter's Country Roads you will get a kick out of it or his Queen
On one of Tim's sound checks. He hit some notes like that a broke speakers.
The last note is in the growl register around the 1 region. Anyone can train to do it.
Check out Sam Robson! Super underrated youtube acapella artist!
'What was that last note???' That would be a G# 1 ( G sharp 1).
Auld lang syne by home free will blow your mind
you should react to Peter Hollen's cover of Rains of Castamere featuring Jonathan Young
