This is the second comment I have left for a video on TH-cam. The first was on a BamBam print video also. WOW!!! These videos are absolute gold! Love it!!

Hello great video. Quick question. Is there an easy way to center the text ? The only was I could figure out was using the measuring tool and moving it that was but it’s a pain.
Very helpful in customizing the 'Lombardi Trophy' for this years fantasy winner. One issue I am running into, when I change the type to negative, the option to edit my text is greyed out so I can actually make it negative, any thoughts? (I just did raised letters, so all good, but for future use it would be great to know what I am doing wrong).
Thank you for the video. I am new to 3D printing and in the process of learning Fusion 360 (no small task). This allowed me get done what I wanted to do quickly and without difficulty.
Great!! I was wasting a lot of time embossing all of my designs in solidworks every time, this can make my workflow more fluid. I feel dumb for not noticing this functionality of bambu studio
I get stuck on the last example. It won’t let me select horizontal and surface. selecting one deselects the other! In either case the text starts at layer 5 so is not visible! Any suggestions? Great video, thank you 4:27
Great video! Thank you. One question though: I tried what you did in Bambu Studio v1.10.1.50 and I cannot select the 'Surface' and 'Horizontal Text' boxes at the same time. It's either one or the other so I can wrap the text on a double curved surface like a sphere or cone and have it straight with the top or bottom edges of the model. Do you have any insight into this? Thank you in advance.
great video and really helpfull. i do however have a problem if you could help. i'm trying to make the txt in a little deeper into a model and looks all good in the preview but as soon as i slice it the txt vanishes. and i have it a different colour to the model but its gone in the slice. any help would be great if you can.
@@bambamprint i had to do it the way u did by putting it to 0.01 depth. i wanted to cut into the object about 1mm and colour it then but can't figure it out. i'll keep at it an see what i can do. maybe it can only be done in the design faze and not in labs studio. thanks for the help. i watched ur other vid and it was pretty much the way i figured out how to do it. u are good at explaining things. wish i had seen it before i had pulled out half my hair lol
Hey BAM BAM. Question. In your tutorial you show where you click Surface and then Horizonal to get text to curve with the object. I was able to do this till a couple months ago. I updated Bambu studio and now I can't click both Surface and Horizonal at the same time. It is either one or the other. Is yours the same way now and if so what is the work around now?
Hi Nick, fairly new to 3D printing, and I really appreciate your channel. I've printed a view itesm with text, with no issues on the final print, but it seems the "Text" tool is kind of, for lack of better words, clunky. The text seems to jump all over the place when trying to align it to a plane. This could be based on the model but lining things up can be an initial pain at times.
If I am following correctly... you are wanting to like Bold the text? Currently they do not have that feature but it would come in handy. I would suggest using Arial bold that font is super thick.
@@gregg-d4l without knowing exactly what your trying to accomplish, I can only guess. Have you watched my Mesh Boolean video? That might have your answer.
Thank you. New subscriber #16,801 (as of November 2024) 🙂. You explain things very well (I've seen a lot of YT videos, so I know). A teacher or a natural talent? I find the Bambu Studio's text handling very confusing. For example, I didn't know that you have to slice the model to actually see if the text has been properly applied.
@@michaels3003 I appreciate that and glad to have you as a supporter! I am not a teacher but have always been able to pick up technology pretty quickly. My channel is here to help as many as I can and eliminate as much frustration as I can.
Sorry for the dumb question but I'm trying to put text on a cone and I've watched your video a few times and still unable to straighten out the text on a cone surface. Specifically i unable to put check marks in the surface and horizontal text boxes at the same time on the text tool... please help
BamBam, can you look at this video again? it seems like with the recent update bambu pushed the menus are missing. Merge & change type are missing when i am trying to add or remove primitives to an existing stl object.
On a windows machine, you will have a fonts folder within the windows folder of the drive your OS is installed on (i.e. C:/windows/fonts) where all your fonts are stored. There are a variety of sites our there where you can download a font and then simply copy it to this folder for use in other software like Bambu/Orca slicers.
If you added text to an object as a negative but wanted to go back and change it, is there a way? I click "Objects," the modifiers (for fuzzy skin) dissappear, and connectors (split object) just fall to the ground. However, the part with text doesn't change or highlight, so i can click it. PS I'm just finding your channel!
If your asking in the way I think your asking, you cannot. You have to add a new text object every time and align them. Unfortunately that is the only way at the moment.
You are very kind! I am glad you think my tutorials are worthy of more followers. I will be releasing a very large tutorial soon so please be sure to check it out once it is released!
