This is absolutely crazy! Just tried it with some grimdark art off of google... nothing I plan to use, print, or sell. But damn!very impressive... BUT. It's nothing that could be printed right away. If anything it would be an excellent tool to make raw proto forms to sculpt from. Like skip the whole part of building up primitives and core shaping.. art to 3d some concepts and then load into brush or blender. And sculpt/refine from there... as a scultors tool this could be really powerful... as an end product solution... this is not there yet... and people need to understand that... this is a tool. Not a replacement for artists and engineers... will that keep people from trying to use it as such? No. But that would he alot of waisted time. As the consumer would easily be able to tell the difference.

That apparently doesn't meet the system requirements for Windows 11. This is not because it cannot run Windows 11. It is because Microsoft has contracts for kickbacks from parts manufacturers for planned obsolescence of the components so that people need to buy new hardware, which means they need to buy new software .

The waste is 700KG. The supports are 8KG. The Tower (that block portion behind the model) is 229KG The final total is around 1000KG (that's including the waste, supports and tower). It's definitely NOT worth it to print in full color. Just do 1 single color to eliminate all the waste.

I think its just the same old photogrmetry technique - AI uses photogrametry, the Process got matured over time but didnt kill technical skills in 3D. AI just resurected photogrammetry, it just relies on displacement map, removed the texture map and the mesh is absolutely just a silhouette base mesh - no other softwares out there except ZBrush can handle high poly super fast and smooth - and these AI online base apps are not softwares that are same as ZBrush. But anyway, AI is a big help for non 3D artist to have a mesh to play around with their printers😂

    • @bambamprint

still a long way off.. needs to use the texture maps as a displacement map and bake to the model though this can be done with zbrush.. but they are getting there. and as a 3d modeler.. tbh i see this as no threat. i cant wait for the day when all i have to do is just add a text prompt and get high detailed models.. this would bring the price of games down.. and costs of films. yes i may be out of a job.. but tbh the amount of backstabbing and competition in the industry is shocking.. and glad to leave it to AI :)
