I took one out for a demo and was surprised by how top heavy the GS and GSA have become. I do like them, but I opted for a Multistrada V4s instead and find it a bit more manageable at slow speed manouevering and pushing it into my garage. Good luck with the new GSA, it looks stunning🖖
I have ordered Height Adjust on my GSA, I have 34" legs so not problem without but it will just makes it a little easier to handle especially when tackling a twisty mountain pass.

I'm 6"1 with an inseam of 32-33. I ordered the 1300GSA with a high seat and no hight adjust. On the 1250GSA I was able to flatfoot with the comfort seat in the high position. The 1300GSA with the high seat in low position is lower than my 1250GSA with the seat in the high position. I think I'll be ok. And given the fact that many problems with the height adjustment are reported, I'll stick to the bike I ordered.
@@larifari4371 quite a few people have had error notifications with the system. I think even @lifeisarideuk had errors at the same time a few of his friends had the same error. Also, there have been cases where the system had to be replaced.
Thanks, I was wondering about this since my inseam is 29”. Could we expect to see a short video with you on the bike in stationary position and where your feet end up relative to the ground…a visual would be helpful.
You'd think that it could be retrofitted via a software update. In any case, that would have been a smart solution by BMW for both customer satisfaction and as an after-sales revenue generator.

Your current Gs Is 1250 or 1300? With height adjust and low seat on low should drop the bike to 820 MM ( 30 MM from height adjust - 20 mm for low seat in low position). Am i right. I am 5.6 and I have 30 inches inseam. Without shoes ON., should be good right?
Ive got either a 33 or 34 inside leg. I'm 5'10 1/2" in shoes been told I'm 5'9" in the medical for work. I will admit i do have really long legs. I can reach the floor well enough on a ktm 690 adventure R

Well It was hell of a good of BMW to exchange it for a new bike after you had dropped it. I decided the GSA is to big and heavy for me. When I bought my current GS. I have a 1200 I think the 1250 might be a little higher. I'm about 5' 11" but my riding pants only have a 30" leg. When I sat on the 1300GS. I was really impressed with the variable ride. Hope this one works out better for you. Did you order your bike without having seen one or having a chance to sit on it? I can flat foot most most if not all of GT or more road orientated ADV bikes from different brands. The Sport or bigger suspension ones are just a bit to big. Yeah, I've dropped mine in the garage😀.
Some people were laughing and almost shouting, “Spoiled brat!” But let me tell you-if you can’t flat-foot that bike with a full tank of fuel, it’s an absolute beast to handle. I’m 55, pretty strong, and I hit the gym three times a week, so I’m no stranger to heavy bikes. For those of you laughing, I challenge you to try managing one on your tiptoes-then come back to me.
@@lifeisarideuk Sorry. I wasn't laughing at your misfortune. I was laughing at myself dropping my own bike. It happens to all of us eventually. For me the most channeling time with a GS is when I am parking it. The GS is my max limit. once it starts going over there is no stopping it.

May steer somebody against it but my mistake I should’ve measured it. I assumed it was the same height as 1250 wrong.!!
Was there a big cost to having to change your bike so soon, when you have the bike can you show some videos with the high adjust and putting the stand on

@@philmccabe6196 listen I’ve taken some flack on those people telling me I can’t ride what people need to understand is if you’re on tiptoe with this bike you added weight of the full tank of fuel or even half a tank of fuel is too much if you’re off Ceber or your off-road and find yourself and I look funny lean angle so rather than risk dropping the bike every five seconds I’ve opted out. I chose non-adjustable suspension for the reason that it wasn’t fit for purpose for the last year. That is my firm opinion but in this but in this case the Bike sea tide is 890 which is too high for me and I have a 32 inserted leg and I’m 5 foot 11 so there are people out there so I should be riding a monkey bite but that their opinion and they’re welcome to it. I’d like to see them hold this bike 280 kg with luggage maybe even 300 on tiptoes. It’s just not gonna happen and rather than risk getting my leg stuck underneath the damn thing it’s gone and it goes today.
Good that you have managed to swap. I’m 6 foot exactly and have done 19k miles on my 1250 GSA in just over two years. I’ve never dropped it, but have come very close on a few occasions especially when facing up/down hill or on a slope and the auto suspension seems to be pumped up high. I’m really glad I specced adaptive height control on my 1300 GSA arriving in January.
Wondering how much the mistake cost as it’s not mentioned. Assume a PCP purchase, trade-in three years, before the electronics present with expensive problems. Already problems with water ingress into the electronics disabling the bike, one owner had to have his bike repatriated from Portugal.
@@Matsridesoffroad in truth it was flashing at me and beeping like mad Sos. I was trying to stop it. It had just happened so no it wasn’t intentional to use it for that. It just happened. I just started the video the Sos flashing and then realise what was happening when I pressed the button it rang anyway nice to know it’s there but interesting to know how it works. I’m sure nobody has ever seen that before or were able to video it. Sorry to offend.

When people follow Industry marketing and influence, this is the result. Is that bad? No everyone should be able to make the most stupid but emotionally right choice at his will. That‘s what motorcycles are for. But then doing „head“ type reviews on good vs. bad and (false) arguing around the fact that they just made a decision they can‘t live up to, hahaha, it‘s really as if they‘re five years old. I would have kept the bike and learned dealing with it, maybe with a more contoured seat. Up your skill. Or be clear to yourself, that this isn‘t neither lower or higher your bike. Get a convertible or a smaller bike. Chose another posing-bling. But that‘s not what Motorcycle Industry consumers do. They press SOS and call mummy.
And…. Do you not think you have been let down by the dealer. Allowing you to part with a considerable amount of money for a bike you can’t cope with. The dealer is not your mate. You pay the salespersons wages.
I have a 28.5” inseam. My 1300 GSA 2025 has standard suspension. That is not a problem. Just learn how to ride, take some lessons, you will enjoy it more. Don’t use your feet as landing gear.

Nearly 5’7 not a problem.
My 22 Africa Twin Adventure sports is 875 I think and I am 32 inside leg and it's perfect.. So 20 mm difference makes a big difference.
