Rivet have got a long way to go before they ever regain me as a customer. The atrocious quality of this route, stupid decision to cut it at Ospizio Bernina, console players getting shafted in relation to safety systems and flimsy excuses for things like enabling the observation coach on this route just get my blood boiling, and I don't expect Rivet to ever pull their heads out their rear ends and change for the better.
I wonder what happened with the planned gameplay pack for Edinburgh to Glasgow. That was announced alongside Arosa Aggregates, but the release got pushed back and now I wonder if they've finally realised how much people hate gameplay packs and decided to cancel it.
They didn't cancel the edinburgh glasgow pack. They confirmed in another place it is still being worked on. There's probably issues related to licensing or they had to make changes last minute or some other issue
Maybe DRS or ONE pulled their license?
Its becoming silly at this point. And yet DTG go through with releasing it in a broken state for consoles and deciding on having Rivet fix it later, which is something I wouldn't wanna bet on.
What do people expect did they really expect that takeover by bloody focus entertainment would improve things pmsl 🤣

The trees in the older tracks (up to TSW 3) are better looking. Those in the TSW 4 routes have a very distracting LOD switching as they get nearer.
Apparently, DTG worked with Rivet OVER THE WEEKEND to implement the safety systems activation using the cab controls (for console players) just in time for the launch. Lost sales can be a great motivator. Which also explains why fixes can wait after the sales are done.
Sometimes it can be a motivator, sometimes not. Look at the day before where the studio shut down from low sales so they didn't have the funds to patch the game.
Of course there are examples where it went well like cyberpunk and no man's sky.
I needed to know why they don’t dig a tunnel and do an extension for the main line Train so that they can extend the unused abandoned underground train stations.
Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock and that includes the class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign them an overhead line and also make them into Five cars per units and also having three Disabled Toilets on those Five cars per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Scania N112, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 7-Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 8-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into an 11 car per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers.
A Stock Trains and also having 8 Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it more Larger and extend it to the bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Railway tunnel into a High-Speed Railway lines?
The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Railway line to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B. then put the modernised 11 car per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it could go to bank station to those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. The modernised refurbished 11 cars per unit A stock could be a High Speed The Third Triple-Track Euro Tunnel Train So it is promising and 47 times a lot more possible to do this kind of project if that will be OK for London Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden.

Your suggestions were extremely unclear and I have no idea what you are trying to say. Are you unhappy with the current railways or do you want them in tsw? What do the prime ministers or the mayors have to do with anything?
Love living in switzerland with the game at over 70 A$ … TSW content is just not worth this price I can go on the route in rl and be cheeper (and get a better experience)
Back in the day, they implemented a working TMS on the Class 385 (ScotRail) but you have to manually click for the train announcements. Now they have a multi-lingual system on the Allegra but they managed to break something else (safety system).
Edit: It will be fixed for release.
The actual system isn't broken. You just need a keyboard to activate it.

I've just been in the alps last year and we were at 2000+ meters. There was no snow what so ever and everything was green and lush. Just letting you know. If you want to have some pictures let me know :D

A more expensive cousin of S-Bahn Zentralschweiz: Luzern - Sursee. The safety systems didn't work on that one either.
Niche genre or not, this is the definition of greed and laziness, release after release we get mediocre or crappy stuff with occasional good or great route, if we won't vote with our wallets we get more of this treatment. I really want to support them because I know how niche this type of gaming really is but at the same time I request they at least try to treat me like a person that shares the same passion not as a wallet to squeeze to the last penny.

It's even more of a shame than it already is when you remember it's the first route that is a bit in Italy, and several people that play TSW are Italian. (Me too but I don't play this excuse of a sim because it's too fricking expensive)
I think it will be cool dls because we have seen the stream from the developers but the stream from the developers came out a bit blurry how will the release of Bernina Ospizio Tirano be it will be high quality and clear if you buy it and download it then it will be clear but really decent the stream from the developers came out blurry😊
Usually the stream compresses everything because of the software used so it would look a bit different

I stopped buying dlc mid last year and started playing other games ,this half assed game gets old.. im sure a bunch of other people have done the same lately.
I think they have done a good job on the actual scenery... agreed on everything else though. I´m afraid that´s all we will be getting in the future from DTG. Short routes!

Why, like just in the name of why, do we keep on allowing Dovetail to hold Rivet to this level of substandardness? It is not that hard to get grass and scenary textures right but they didn't just get it wrong, they got it wrong on such a basic level that it's almost laughable
I remember back when the West Cornwall Local came out they Dovetail came out on stream and they said after Rivet completely ballsed that route up that if it wasn't good enough for them, it wasn't good enough for us, where is the accountability?
They have even got a church model wrong and it's not a hard church to model because it is a landmark
So no, I won't ne buying the Berninaline and probably won't be buying another Rivet product for the game, enough is enough in my opinion
What's wrong with the grass?
Starting 2024 with a bang with this clanger. If you're dumb enough at this point to keep pumping money into this franchise you shouldn't be surprised or complain when it falls well short of expectations or what was advertised. Each successive release continues to lower the bar further, yet people continue to buy. I'd suggest if you have purchased and don't think its up to scratch post a review and refund it.
I own every piece of content, and I'll end up buying this one too. But I have to agree. It's expensive, it's not the route that anybody wanted. Slow, mountain climbing experience? We have Arosalinie for that. I cannot understand why Dovetail Games thought that bringing out another route that is basically the same thing, was a good idea. I'm going to guess that Arosalinie is one of the least played / purchased maps in the game. If all the things they could have given us, I just don't understand why it is this!
Rivet can make whatever they want and wanted to do switzerland justice. Also your argument is flawed. High speed routes shouldn't be made since it's been done before. Freight routes shouldn't be made because it's been done before. See how it sounds when you apply it to any other route?
Just because it's slow doesn't mean it should never be made. Not every route has to be a high speed route. That would just be boring. Arosa wasn't great. Mountains looked terrible and sounds and physics wasn't that great. This route improves on a lot of that
@@potatoman451 it's nothing to do with it being slow. It's everything to do with it being almost identical to another unpopular route. I could live with that if there was lots of driving to do, but from their preview stream I certainly got the impression this train runs in cruise control. You are literally a passenger sat in the cab watching a train go up some scenery.
High speed sells, freight sells, classic Locomotives sell. German routes full of variety sell. A decent American route (not looking at you Cane Creek, Cajon Pass, Sherman Hill!).
Other than another linear, desert / Canyon style USA route, this is the last thing I wanted to see personally. Arosalinie scratches that itch on the rare occasion I want to play that kind of route, I think most people would agree that it's not something you need two of!
It still won't stop me buying it of course. I'm in way too deep now to not buy it! The only thing I didn't buy was the Christmas special thing, even for £2.49!!!
@@SnoopCleggyClegg it exists in the real world so why not create it in a train sim. An entire type of line shouldn't be ignored because one would see it as boring. Variety matters more otherwise you get players who aren't happy. You will get players unhappy either way. They create too much of the same thing, players complain. They create too little and players complain. That's just the way it is
Great video TTG4. I agree overexpensive and such a short route. Typical of Rivet, so unprofessional. Rivet doesn’t shine for me. They totally spoilt WCL and they lost my confidence in them to build and present a decent route and agree with everything you say TTG4. The mountains look better than Arosa, but I bet they don’t improve Arosa at all.
They can't improve arosa without rebuilding the entire thing from scratch. You don't just add lidar.
Tsw needs reduce prices for routes that doesn't go all the way
the frozen lake is not at all realistic they said that it was their greatest achievement for this route but when the lake is frozen the snow covers the ice which is therefore no longer visible. so rivet game still as bad to make their decor

People just need to stop paying for stuff and buying from DTG. It’s as simple as that, when will people make a stand against this kind of nonchalant “game” “dlc” releasing when it’s sub par and not ready. Just STOP supporting the developers jeees. It’s constant with these people, they don’t care about the player they just rely on the constant flow of people spending. It’s unacceptable at this point.

Almost every route in train sim loses with these "real life side by side comparisons" on track balast, single houses, single pieces of road etc... go try this with some of the routes you consider "good" and "classics". You will find loads of stuff wrong. There is only a handfull of very well made freeware and third party routes on TS Classic that can hold up to those standards you are setting.
Surely getting the snow build up correct in the Swiss alps is justifiable, like ensuring forests are in fact forests and not lightly wooded areas or completely treeless.
I get what you’re saying but it’s especially bad on this route.
They explained the snow thing and said the mountains would look crap, if they use it. But we don´t know if that is just an excuse again. I´m the last person to praise Rivet or DTG... but I can make any route in TSW look terrible with side by side pictures vs. real life. I think this route looks OK... will I be buying it? No, because it´s boring a to b slow driving with few services.@@thetrainguy4

This is worse than CoD: Modern Warfare 3 (2023).
I think cod is worse lol. There is very little innovation, campaign was poor, multiplayer got dry extremely quickly, etc. The $70 price tag didn't help either since it was supposed to be dlc but Activision wanted more money. Sure mp was great but the fun lasted like 1 match. Tsw is just so much more fun for me

It looks terrible. Looks really dated old game. Rubbish will not be buying it no effort just a cash grab. Really upset wanted to see improvement but nothing.
I find it good enough for what it is. The only other thing that is graphically up there is simrail which I'm not convinced to buy.
Train sims are quite niche so there's not really many big devs working on it or triple a studios like microsoft

I don't get to experience trains as well and TSW is the only way I can do that too, but I refuse to sit quiet when I fell cheated with half-finished stuff that don't get fixed in the end or end up in worse condition that before (BR 187 is perfect example with all the missing sounds).

Europe boarders are not manned there is no fan fare real world no passport control watch a video of a cab ride on the line there's no line or sign so what's the problem? Lastly it is just a game yes they claim a sim but there are some constraints with being across so many systems so compromises are made with scenery.
Omg I had a stroke reading this.
1) not everyone has a keyboard.
2) IRL ZS can’t be turned off from a switch, that’s why it’s shortcut only.
3) the track is wrong in places, the unit sounds bad, no BEX coaches, the scenery (apart from the mountains which look excellent) looks awful.
4) if I play for less than 2 hours on steam I can get a refund.
5) cracker insult buddy.
6) the border thing is my point exactly, it’s not exciting so why do it over St Moritz?

1 Keyboards are dirt cheap I have one, but blame Dovetail for default off, some systems are complicated but UK AWS is dead easy so default isolated is a bit retarded. as for Rivet not having a button or a cab switch then yes that's on them for that.
2 surely they have an isolation switch as the did with the locos on Arosa?
3 where is the track wrong? BEX coaches from Arosa surely can be added?
