- The New Prunus J-125 AM FM Stereo Digital Portable Radio has some new Upgrades to Show off!
Now with more Presets, a standard collapsible FM Antenna, and Neck Lanyard, What is not to like? The FM Stereo Sounds Excellent on Headphones, and even with the small antenna, it pulls in FM Stations like a Champ for Cheap :) Honestly, a decent Radio when priced under $15.

Hej Todderbert thanks for the review of the new Prunus J-125 I came close to buying this radio before but just wanted to hear your thoughts first about this radio but definitely this radio I will buy like that it is thin and nice and more presets is also very nice. I thought the speaker sounded pretty good despite it being a thin little pocket radio so I was a little impressed, I must say, because you turned up the sound quite loud when you played Toderbert radio. But I like this radio perfect to have by my bedside table as a night radio or alarm clock and stereo sound with headphones is lovely Todderbert Sangean SR-35 in white color is very nice to have love it take care and have a nice night early morning for me.
Cost about $35 now. Great radio. Even good on mw or am band. Love this radio. Thank you for your review.

At 31:07 I did hear the airplane. I know that particular sound well. It is an agricultural applicator aircraft with a piston engine. Doing a turn on a field, then another. Most of this kind of aircraft these days have a turbine engine that are hard to hear. Love your videos. Subscribed and notified.

Thought I would pick one up to try it’s the only radio I have with a screen and many buttons and I’m too old school I prefer simplicity, I will probably give it away, My Sony p26 is far easier to use i will stick to old style radios,

Sincerely appreciate Toddbert reviews which resulted in me selecting this radio ! Hence my desire to reciprocate with cons and pros as follows. Ordered through Amazon.
I expected "tinny" sound due to the small speaker but the quality is not as good as other mini radios with some distortion noted from speaker. I use most on AM for news and was interested in DSP effect. Very angle sensitive with some cross-talk even on strong local signals and “chugging” on weak ones. Definitely no distant AM stations. Regret no sensitivity specs were available. FM was fine but ONLY with earbuds is audio clear.
There is an error in the manual that came with it. To set the time it says (P. 8) to push the ON button first. This first step is incorrect. The radio has to be OFF. Then when you press the "Preset" button the 12h / hours / minutes comes up and can be reset.
Otherwise compact and lightweight with useful memories and search features. Decent battery life. Consider if using headphones for FM or for local AM stations.

No. It can be turned up fairly loud. But do you want a loud tinny sound and crosstalk coming out of a small speaker? Only decent quality on FM with earbuds or headphones.

At Night you may be surprised by these smaller radios. Sometimes you have to wait on the frequency for it to slowly build up enough gain for you to hear it.
Seems having the standard FM antenna kills it as a pocket radio or neck lanyard radio. The old version used to use the headphone wire.
yeah, only good to use it on a strong local AM station while wearing it as a neck lanyard.

I would much rather it have the heaphones be the antenna when plugged in. Lets you put in your pocket and walk around with it like a "Walkman".
