- Last time on New Hope, before this series took a long break, we witnessed the Z-Fighters fall to the perfect android during the Cell Games. Due to his own hubris, however, Cell left Krillin alive to pick up the pieces of what was left of the life and world he knew.

This is the sickest timeline. Imagine being one of the z fighters looking back at home watching the dude that killed them getting worked by Krillin. This isn't even an overly complex story to write either, it's just being done outright amazingly.

Cell is hubris incarnate and knows Krillin only as a guy who was so far behind in the whole of DBZ, that he just cannot take him seriously. He just doesn't understand that _"this loser"_ is a legitimate threat now if he just screws around too much. Which he marvellously did.
All I ask myself now is, if Krillin can still use the Kaioken as an Android? Looks like he has not done so yet and can actually go even higher? ... but he tries to safe it for a last surprise?

On a legit level krillin as an Android is a terrifying prospect. He knows how to use his ki amd raise his power level and or lower it but as an android no one can feel his energy. You cant gauge him when he powers up or builds up and attack. You just have to hope he isnt stronger than you
This is true considering that the Android boost on Krillin is already insane due to him being super-human lvls of strength before-hand in comparison to 17 & 18. (in hindsight it's funny to think about Mecha Frieza when you see Android Krillin😂)

@@bwackbeedows3629 He can use the kaio Ken. Being an android didn't take away his ki. It just made his ki reserve infinite. In other words he does not have to worry all that much about energy management. He can fire a solar Kamehameha and still have more than enough in the tank to do it again.
Krillin is a martial artist and this series takes advantage of that fact. He trained alongside Goku with Roshi and after The Cell Games he took his training extremely seriously. We can see him use strategy to out maneuver Cell just how Goku would do with a stronger opponent. The Kame School did him well
Turtles aren't flippant scattered creatures, they have to conserve their power and resources, and only when certain of a CHANCE for victory do they commit everything to the strike.
At least that's what I and my remaining nine toes taught me. I didn't see any markings on his gi, I don't think he was wearing one. Not sure.
No Android have the infinite energy so he can't be or she will be defeated
@@taytay7121 krillen being an android may make his power source never run out and not loose stamina but he doesn't recover from damage as quickly as cell and cells maximum output of power is greater than his so he has to play it smart to have a chance to catch cell unaware and surprise him with a chance killing blow but it is more useful to train someone like goten to outclass cell in every way including level of power and Finnish the fight quickly before he has a chance to come up with a way to escape and become even stronger

@@Fridge_Fiend I just interpret it as, Cell may have the hunger for fighting that the Saiyans do, but he is as prideful as Vegeta and as spiteful as Freeza. If he sensed that Gohan, ya know the kid that beat him so bad he chose to self destruct instead of going down fighting, had returned it would be 50/50 that Cell wouldn't just erase our planet from orbit.

Cell doesn't want to feel like the one being bullied so you had to catch him on an element of surprise by making him fight someone who is unknown to him than ever before so that he cannot tell if that one person is strong or not.

Maybe he’s using it as a last resort because cell has goku’s dna so if he sees it he can use it (to at least x3 without training it) and it would also make goten fight harder if cell figures out that he can use it.

Goku 1 finger block against Trunks, Vegito as a whole, Trunks Spirit Sword, Trunks SSB Rage transformation, Gogeta moment after soul crusher in Fusion Reborn. All Gogeta moments against Broly. New Broly going SS. Vegeta Final Flash, Goku Black SSRose, Goku Ultra Instinct Omen moments and True Form moments. The list goes on. Anyway, I’ll be moving on. Not going to debate with you or anyone on this, lol.

High-tier fan manga right here. One of the best ones by far for many reasons. My favorite reason is that the characters actually act like themselves without bein too exaggerated or overly battlethirsty the way many manga like this do.
I can tell he put's alot of effort into the voice acting alongside the wait is worth it, because of the quality Mondo you're the best manga teller I've ever came across, Keep it up man!

Ironically when it comes down to it, he is the Earth's last hope literally. He carries the hopes and dreams of all the fallen z fighters. . .a new hope 🙏.

This "new hope" is incongruous with the old Z fighters, he lacks a sense of harmony with them.
Irony can be an: " Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs."

What I find most hearthwarming about this is that, canonically, Krillin was the first to attack Cell after he became Perfect.

It was a really clever solution. The whole fight was clever in fact, using the dragon ball lore to explain things like how the teleport tech wasn't that efective. Or how it was justified the surprise element about who can win by using the fact that now that krilin is an android, his power can not be measured... Really clever
I hope he combines the videos together someday but damn how I waited for this next chapter

My guess is the android part means he doesn't tire or run out of ki, but since he can't regenerate like Cell, perhaps Krillin's physical injuries weaken his max power. For example, if Cell cut off Krillin's arm, that would make him weaker, even though he still has full stamina and ki.

No. The og androids get beat up and scuffed and start tiring as they fight stronger opponents. 16 is the sole exception. Energy has a limit. Toriyama dropped the ball on that
13:01 for a moment, just a moment, Krilling did get a Goku moment; followed by 13:09 the pose Cell had when Trunks pin him send him to the ground in their fight; AND THEN 16:06 the Vegeta moment where he blasts him so hard its visible from space; AAAND THEN 16:49, look at the damage, apart from being just a half, it looks just like when Gohan reverse Kamehameha'd Cell! DUUUUDE!!!!! Awesome attention to details, and homage to ALL previous Saiyan fighters.
Also yes, you are right. 17:36 is a Freeza 2nd form moment. You'd never miss it, I know.
I love how they didn't give krillin an energy trail when flying due to him being an android now, that's some good attention to detail. 13:48
You never think about how much a solar flare would really fuck up your eyes, let alone a 100× solar flare.
I really hope at some point in the story we see Krillin use the kaioken with his android body now that he has unlimited stamina.
I’ve always wondered what would happen if a being such as an android with unlimited stamina or a namekian with regeneration used the kaioken. Would it negate the drawbacks and recoil of the technique?
Would kaioken even work normally if a android does it though?
Well, the kiao-ken has two primary drawbacks:
1) The technique induces an enormous amount of strain on the body, if your body isn't acclimated to the technique and/or you don't have proper control, using it can be fatal. Additional, the toll it takes on the users body is proportional to the power increase from using the technique, so raw power alone isn't enough to endure the technique either.
2) Like most techniques or transformations that increase one's power in dragon ball, the kiao-ken costs quite a lot of energy when used, significantly reducing your stamina.
Being a namekian with regeneration fixes the first problem, since you can simply regenerate from any damage the technique does to your body. However, namekian regeneration itself costs quite a bit of energy, so the already high stamina cost from the Kiao-ken would be increased further.
Being an cyborg/andriod like 17 or 18 fixes the second problem since the andriods have infinite stamina. But the technique would still incur a heavy degree of strain on the users body.
Basically, if you want someone who can handle the Kiao-Ken with no significant drawbacks, you would want a Namekian andriod.

Isn't the whole reason kaio Ken is so fatal that it is a god's technique and mortal bodies do not have the capability to withstand an output of godly power for extended periods of time? I mean if any of the Kais used it, they'd be able to push it to its absolute limit and have no issues because they are gods and it's their own technique.

I get the feeling that Gotens going to overpower Cell, but then Cell absorbs Krillin and achieves a form even higher than his super perfect one.
I was also thinking that Cell would absorb Krillin, now that he's an android too.
cell was designed to only absorb 17 and 18
and his tail in his perfect from isn't long enough to absorb
@@Summorial2 He could extend it in GT. Plus Cell offing Krillin would be the perfect crux for Goten going ssj2, if hasent already in the time chamber.
