I was sad to see the passing of the Queen but it's also very exciting to be able to witness history in the making. Next Saturday will give everyone an insight into British history that for many weren't alive to witness.

What a wonderful Queen, Elizabeth was. I am so very proud that my mother named me after her with my second name being Anne, after her mother. My late husband served in the Queen’s Regiment ❤
This is so fascinating to see knowing there will be a coronation next weekend and first for so many. History is truly strange. So much stays the same years on but so much has changed.
I don’t know why but I just love anything historical especially documentaries and short form videos like this. I just snuggle up with food in bed and I’m happy as hell! 😊❤😂
Sir Thomas Leigh led the coronation procession of Queen Elizabeth the first. This was quite a neat find while I was doing family history research. And then to find out Jane Austen was related to Sir Thomas Leigh was another find. I've more extended relatives than I ever knew. 😊 Even the Fitzgeralds descendents are in my local area, of which that area is called Gerald. Anyway....
@@dollmob1206 Dude, the only way I knew I was related to the Leigh's is through one of my great grandfathers, the 16th one I believe, Sir William Macnaderte Deane. (De, Den, Denne, Deen, Deane, Dean). It's a looong family line that goes back to the vikings, you know, like Rollo (aka Robert). Sir William Deane in Australia comes from the same family line. There was a Deane that went to India, and another to Jamaica. This old family line is HUGE. And that is something to be proud of, because many of them have done good deeds, and continue to this day. One Dean family member who Was an officer, will be shamed and shunned for the rest of his life tho. There's some high expectations to live up to, especially for any who want to be an officer within the Dean family lines.
The Master of Ceremony (or appropriate title) and that whole department/bureau/group had every right to be worried and pushy about performing their duties well, as we're still talking about it 500 years later! 😅
In those days anything other than effusive praise of the Monarch could result in your execution for "treasonous utterances." So these documents have to be taken with an extremely large grain of salt.
I thought she refused to spend the night at The Tower.... and spent the night before the coronation at Charterhouse .... before starting the procession at The Tower.
"Dr. John D".... 8:04 Mind saying what his last name was please? Because if you're saying John Deane *(looking back to see if we had a John Deane in 1559), then I really need to know.
By God's command alone; on Saturday 6th May 2023; in Westminster Abbey; without the need of one single crystal ball; the entire world will witness those two entities, and everyone else who supports them; taking on their destined roles; merrily ushering in the incunabula of what was once considered, the highly esteemed British Monarchy.
Just don't seen to be able to get away from this expensive farce. A jolly jaunt for Charlie and his bint or £7500 for every single nurse in the UK. Great value for money

For a bloke who cheated on his beautiful wife our Princess Di.
Let’s hope he upholds his green political views.

Love seeing young historians remembering things from hundreds of years ago.
Love anything with Tracy Borman !
Of course I miss our wonderful Queen but damn, I am so excited about the King's Coronation! (Canadian here)
No pledge from me.
Aussie here, I don't answer to a British monarch.
Why?

Did you ever question why they didnt stay in the then Britain? To be proud seems futile to your ancestors.

I misread Retracting as 'Retracting' and thought 'Wait, can they do that?'
Looking forward to next week when God anoints His Majesty King Charles

Yeah... there are some "social progressives" who push false history that Anne Boleyn was African, who had a very pale red-haired dausghter.

Just a reminder that Charles' family tree is a straight line without branches.
And your point is what?
Lots of inbreeding!
