I think you should compare the Aiwa Exos-9 to the JBL Boombox. Also I find that "Preset 2" is basically "party mode" for the Exos-9, so the bass becomes punchier and there's more treble. It's not V-shaped, but you can certainly hear a difference with it compared to the other presets, and of course the customizable EQ.
Hi Oluv! Do you happen to have a guitar? If you connect it with the aux cable, is there any latency? I have a JBL Charge 4 and there's a slight delay between the note I play and the note that comes out of the speaker.
You're right. I have had the JBL boombox over a year...we don't need better base than that. Yeah the higs aren't perfect, but better compared to the boombox 2...the 2 generation is focused to much on the base..not worth the extra money..l also have the charge 4..and connecting these two together are fantastic..

I think that they could just include a virtual switch for the sound mode in the speaker app... kinda like the previous one, with the difference that instead of boosting the mid-bass in the 75Hz region, it reduces it, keeping just a little of this nice low bass, and sends more power to the mids and high frequencies... (Sorry for bad English)

They are more or less same in loudness. I was thinking with the higher wattage of the boombox 2 gives it more loudness but I think the extra watts was to give the boombox 2 more lower bass and a bit better tuning. on outdoors the boombox 1 appears to be a bit more punchy with some upper bass. I like the sound dispersion of the boombox 2 I think JBL will soon release a firmware update to the boombox 2 pertaining to loudness and dsp sound improvements... try comparing the new one with the partybox 100 please also do a bass test mode if theres a low frequency mode on the new boombox 2 on ac mode as well just like what you did before with the HK Go Play
I mean what did you expect from it.....bbx series can't reach the Power of the partybox series....ofc It depends by the size....and also It costs so much because It Is ipx7, It can last 24 hrs and because it's smaller and portable....for example if the partybox 100 was ipx7 the price could have been even 500 or 600 euros....that's for sure
