    It looks like nothing has changed at ZZP over the years. Car looked like it ran better with the Trifecta tune and virtually stock than in this clip. Their tuning has always been VERY hit and miss, thanks to them back in the day for leaving my GTP’s PCM in programming mode and telling me (a young kid at the time that didn’t know any better) that it was okay to leave it that way.

    The advantage tune is a great deal for what you get from trifecta. Thats still impressive for a tour x and zzp is a great company as well. I have a 16GS and a few minor things done with trifecta advantage tune. 100K miles being tuned problem free.

    Still going good tho even if you didn’t sound too impressed with performance. Mine here in NZ is badged as a Holden Commodore Calais V…same 4wd system and plastic clad bodywork, but powered by your caddy direct injected v6 (235kw…315hp) but with a 9sp auto. Supposed to do 6.7 to 100kph (62mph) and it feels all of that. Under rated cars…Pity we don’t get it here anymore. My 2019 I think is was one of the last

    5:34 I have a serious question. I will be buying a 2018 to 2020 Regal TourX wagon (still looking) and I would love to put in the GX instrument cluster. Does that involve a lot of recalibration, or can it just plug-in? This instrument cluster is standard equipment or at least available on the TourX in England and Australia by the way.

    • @jacob8038
      @jacob8038  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From what I understand, the company we got it from has it set up so it was just plugged in and it worked, we didn’t have to calibrate anything thankfully.

    Looked like a humid day, after some rain. humidity increases combustion duration - same effect as retarding ignition timing. Also cooler temperature reduces tire pressure - and water on the ground increases friction - so many factors go into reducing those 10ths of a second. Even the terrain can play a part - it may look flat, but you'd need a surveyor's compass to prove it :)

    • @jacob8038
      @jacob8038  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish I could say it was, but it was roughly the same temperature and dry out when this video was taken, tomorrow I will be making the video with upgraded cam and full e85 before we sell the car, it is supposed to be dry and 65 degrees so it should make for some excellent results

    • @jacob8038
      @jacob8038  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct, in Manuel mode it will not stop start, and unfortunately no regal parts fit on this car, the Malibu downpipe from zzp is the only one that works. The intercooler kit had to be made custom using the zzp larger throttle body and extending the plug for it.

      Unfortunately it was sold a while back, it was set up with a cam having a larger fuel lobe to run full e85, that car was maxed out on the stock internals and turbo, it ran amazing well, although once it was sold the car was put to stock and soon had turbo issues, as well as the guy that put the parts on his regal lost the transmission not to long after, I think safely this car really shouldn’t be taken farther than just a tune, it’s really fun but I’m just not sure about longevity with the setup we had.

    I have a '19 TourX. Just installed the Trifecta Tune and it really makes a difference in power. People were mentioning gas mileage, before the tune I got about 22MPG and now 19.5 on an avg week. This is mostly rush hour traffic driving, a lot of stop and go. 91 octane gas, 93 is not available. Also where I'm at, from Oct - March the gas is oxygenated so gas mileage drops by about 3MPG.
