I thought "Power of inner strength" was a better album than "Devine Intervention" which came out the same year. Definitely a HUGE victory for Dave after leaving Slayer.
That riff is just a fukcing HAMMER!!!! I remember when this came out, I was a radio DJ and heard this in a sample disc, IMMEDIATELY ran to the studio and played it. I ended up playing it 5 more time before my shift ended. (Back then you could do that, it wasn't a chain station) I really miss those days....
Did you know that he hardly ever practiced with Slayer? Tom said he'd walk in, sit down, listen and get down. Dave was great with Slayer and Terrific with Grip, Inc.
The best production of Grip Inc. War is a shit, and there must be not militaries!!!....just pain and suffering. See what it happening in my country, Colombia...
I'm friends with Jason Viebrooks - he's both in exhorder and was in grip Inc for two albums, he's Playing bass on the tune I'll tell him you said that. He's so fuckin nice bro. Seriously the realest rocker I've met
I remember an interview in the early 2000's where the singer I think, said that he was not allowed to put a foot inside the US territory. Some federal decision or something.
A great lost metal track from the mid-90's that's now hard to find. I recently found it on a videotape I did from MTV at the time, which was a pleasant surprise.
Catchy riff, excellent drumming courtesy Mr. Lombardo, great great solo by Waldemar Sorychta...The only thing that doesn't fit is Gus Chambers' Billy Idol's appereance xD
