Sorry guys, it's called bakarwadi and it originates in Pune, not Vadodara. Being a Punekar i know that the Pune Bakarwadi (
by Chitale's) is the most authentic one, although other states came out with their versions of it. Here's proof; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakarwadi
