Better way: Don't remove stuff in a destructive way. Don't copy the layer but do continue with the remove background step. After removing the background, click on the black and white version of the layer you can see in your layers panel. That's because photoshop generated a mask. Now use B on your keyboard to enter the brush tool. Now, use white to paint back in certain parts of the image that were lost such as the boots, and use black to remove the parts you don't want. Saves a whole lot of time. You can also use a mask for the erasing of the legs at 7:10. Place the ingame render over the AI generated file as in the video, make sure you're still on the ingame render layer, and then create an inverted mask by holding alt and clicking on the rectangle with the circle on your layers panel. Then use the brush tool to paint back in the original trunks (clothing). Because it's non destructive, you can always go back in later to perfect your outlines and image. You can also use this for the tattoos, but in the same layer! If you want to remove the background, again, you can use the layer mask. Open the file, double click on the background layer to make it editable and either select the subject (if you can with your version), or quick select the background. Depending on the method used, either mask it normally by pressing the rectangle/circle button or, in case you selected the background, invert mask it like you did before. Now, instead of leaving it as is and having the white lines, go into Select in the top bar, and pick Refine edges. In that dialogue box, play with the smart radius, feather and shift edge to your liking. Press ok. Now save it as a PNG.
@@ReddTedd yes, thats the one, i tried to apply a pic but somehow it wasnt the correct place or correct size, when i tried the after adjustment just couldnt fit it to where it should be :|
Thanks a TON for this. I was using Leonardo AI but it was spotty at best. it would either get the attire right and botch the face, or both the attire but get the face right. It never got both spot on. This method does both. Thanks again!
Couldn’t you then in theory take the realistic AI generated image and use that version as a face scan for even more accuracy? That’s where I thought this video was going.
You could, but that's more so a matter of personal choice. It's easier to use the AI face swap feature than to make a face scan out of the initial AI generated image.
I think I get it. So is there some preferred method to get a more photorealistic face on the in-game character model then? Without having a real face to take a face scan of in the first place?
@@ReddTedd Yeah, I don't have the option to drag and drop or even upload an image in general because I don't have a ongoing plan. Any alternatives at all?

I did the template you set up where he’s in a basic pose but some of the Caws I made need a different style pose yet when I go to file and click place linked, the AI render and in game render don’t match up when I go to size it. Would you be able to help?
@@ReddTedd yes I did, I see what the problem is but idk how to fix it. On the getimg website under image it says “the aspect ratio does not match the output resolution ratio!” The reason it got messed up is because the post I chose the in game render has his arms flailed out to the sides so it didn’t fit the box properly. Is there a way to make this work with unique poses where the character isn’t just facing forward ?
