Hey, here to help! The original Extreme product line is different than the Extreme Bleach Recovery line. Specifically for bleach damage. I used the Bleach Recovery system on my own over-processed hair a couple years ago when it first came out and it helped so so much! The Cica (SEE-ka) cream is kind of heavy so I’d alternate with Anti-Snap. The conditioner substitute is the Lamellar (Luh-MELL-er) Water treatment. There is actually a fantastic scientific process of how this stuff works (involves positive and negative ions in your hair and pH balancing properties). My hair feels so amazing when I use this rinse-out treatment. I would sometimes follow up with a conditioner, but the lamellar water gives such a nice slip to the hair you really don’t need it (at least I didn’t… I have fine hair). Overall I enjoyed this line and still use the lamellar water (as someone else mentioned, the L’Oréal wonderwater is the same thing), but I like the acidic bonding concentrate line better. Tip: if you don’t want to cleanse your hair with shampoo but your hair does need a refresh, just use the lamellar water treatment in the shower without shampooing. Hope this helps!!!
@@angelbecks985 no problem. I admit I am not a cosmetologist but I am an esthetician so I have access to all the high end hair care, and I love doing my own research on haircare science.
I used the extreme line and the acidic bonding line and my hair did feel really nice (eventho I prefered the extreme line since the acidic line felt more drying?) but it could not safe my hair from the bleach damage :/ I had to cut a lot of it and I still suffer from the bleach damage in my ends. (I've stopped using those lines tho, except the acidic bonding cream) I have not bleached my hair since ..probably way over a year? But I also didn't cut it since then so ..lol
I use the L'oreal wonder water, it's similar to the Redken one, but way cheaper. I use it everytime I wash my hair. It makes it so soft and smell great! You definitely don't need as much as they say you do!
@@SannaNaumanenI can tell if someone who uses this stuff gets on the bus or walks into the classroom. It smells way stronger than a hair product should-especially the Dream Lengths one.
Aislinn can you please try for use L’Oréal professional absolut repair molecular line! How much I hear it’s is new deeper repair technology! They got 4 or 5 step system! I try last step molecular repair masque and my hair so soft after use and sims to be less split ands. Also it’s heat protection! I think Definitely after trying all steps can be huge difference of hair quality! ❤
I appreciate it for the opposite reason; I get so disappointed when something smells great in the bottle but the fragrance is gone too quickly. I also get migraines, but so far thankfully it has never impacted my love of fragrances. Food smells, however...
I think you’re the only TH-camr that I am so easily influenced by 😂😂 you got me with the Redken Acidic line, XMondo and now I’m going to have to try the extreme line.
If you enjoy lamellar water, my personal choice is the Matrix one... To be honest Matrix cost half the Price of the redken One but work better. My top three 1) Matrix 2) Redken 3) K-water by Kerastase Have fun to try them 😘
I’m so happy you tried this line! It’s literally the best, I highlight color my hair blonde + do highlights every now and then on top to get that ultra light blonde color and this is my go to. I’ve zero breakage and it truly works, I also alternate with Kerastase! ❤
I've been using Matrix lamellar water for a while now on my way over processed hair and it has made such a difference. When it runs out I'll definitely try the Redken one as you've already got me using their Bonding range! 😀
I use the water after each time I bleach my hair. I use it after I wash out the bleach. I think it helps the condition of my hair, and helps me ensure I get all the bleach out. I get it on Amazon.
Yay I'm so excited you're back I just told my husband today I hadn't seen you for a while hope you had a happy New Year I'm excited to see the video❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
bleach recovery and the lamellar are "new" products in the last 3-4 years. Anti snap, CAT treatment, shampoo and conditioner are reformulated but original to the line. I haven't had good luck with the extreme line, it is a heavy protein line and makes my hair snap off, but my hair never reacted well to protein treatments, always worked best with keratin. Matrix came out with a similar Lamellar water a year or so before redken (Even though they're sister companies) and I *love* that one, it has a lighter scent, but everyone still loves it. Smells like Vanilla Eclairs (Similar to extreme), so if you ever want a less scented version of that Lamellar water try that one! it does do wonders.
I am using the product line in combination with k18 and my hair feels so good and healthy. I have fine hair but a lot of it. I don’t like the shampoo that much cause I fell my scalp gets oily faster because it’s too nourishing and heavy on my hair which can be a good thing. Even my hairdresser was shook when i went for a trim because my hair doesn’t feel damaged at all but I am also messing with my hair like every other week so I would definitely recommend it xD
I watched your vid this morning, I am now in Leeds centre in the uk and I bought the lamella water! Can’t wait to try it! I also got a conditioner too. Thanks for sharing love your hair care videos💚💙
Up side of my breakage is short hair so the breakage dont really matter my hair is growing thank god im now using k18 leave in a hair oil shampoo k18 then got bedhead for copper red or brown to ill just be getting a new pixie for my 33 birthday lol
I trained using Redkin products too Aislinn! They are a fantastic hair care brand and this looks like an amazing line. Like you said they have a certain smell to the products and if that liquid is super fragranced then boy it will definitely be SUPER STRONG Lol.😝 Most of my clients love the Redkin Line as I use it on them now, but I am going to order this new range for the clients who have bleach in their hair, I will warn them about the strong “perfume” type smell. Thank You yet again Aislinn for bringing us another new fantastic hair care product line from a company who we can trust. Love you Lots ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Got an email from RedKen today (I’m subscribed to them) and the Extreme Bleach Recovery line is now on last chance 😭 looks like it’s being discontinued?
@@AkaAislinn actually this line (extreme bleach recovery) has been around for years I used to use it over 3 years ago. I believe its being discontinued.
I avoid lamella water like the plague, it made my hair feel amazing but caused me to lose so much more hair. When i applied it to my hair i would apply it my fingers were covered in hair.
Lmao I remember like 5 years ago I started watching u n was dying my hair with u every week it seemed like 😂 then I stopped coloring it cut it all off and went back to my natural color 😂😂😂 can we take a moment for 2020 and 2021 bc every single girl it seemed hair was ruined and had a mental break down and shaved it rather then trying to heal their hair like u 😂😂😂 now I haven’t dyed my hair in like 4 years n well yr hair definitely looks way more healthy then mines 😂😂😂😂
Ais, I hope you're doing alright mama. We're all here for you always. Try not to let shit get you down in this strange world. It's been a minute but I'm gonna try the Redken line again. Thank You for getting on here & sharing this with us🖤💙🩵❄️✨️

That one also smells a looot like parfume, I guess its something in the formula that smells a lot so they have to cover it up?

Yes! I just bought the whole line to try ☺️ video coming soon 🫶🏻
The migraine warning is super appreciated! Fragrance sensitivity is such a pain in the butt when trying to find blonde repair treatments. :/

Idk what’s different but you look extra freaking beautiful in this video!
Can you review the sally beauty bond bar?
Like three years ago there used to be an extreme bleach recovery conditioner.
Reminds me of the reskin anti snap. Which I use for a couple of weeks after bleaching my hair 😅
